They ruined my clothes and when I tried to have an explanation they denied they did anything wrong and said that the clothes were already like that. I took a very special skirt here to have a button reattached and other buttons that were loose secured. When I got home and checked the work, the button immediately fell back off, and the rest of the buttons looked like they'd been sewn on by a three year old. Not only that but they stuck thick safety pins through the thin vintage silk, when it had obvious loops they could have hung it from. They also charged $30 to attach a button which is insane. Basically paid to have a very expensive piece of clothing damaged. :( read more

So I I've only tried Sunny Brite once. I turned in two orders on the same day. One was regular dress shirts, advertised at $4.75 a shirt. He said starch "do you want starch" that will cost you $7.75 each. Ok I'm there to try them so I bit the bullet and said "heavy starch". 2 hours later I dropped off 3 uniforms. The employee quoted me a different price than the owner based on the extra work "Military press" requires. The owner honored his original price and only thing left was to pick up. I showed up with the first ticket and as I was leaving with the uniforms I noticed a sleeve that was pressed off center. He told me to leave that shirt and he would redo the sleeve. I picked it up the next day got them home and the breast crease was off center. I just fixed it myself. Then when I went to pick up the dress shirts, they were not starched and the owner said, leave them and we will do them right. When I went to pick them up, One had been stained and unless Heavy starch is different than 35 years ago they were not worth $7.75 a shirt. I'm disappointed, they are so close to my house. Had many different items cleaned including my wedding dress cleaned, and have also tried out their alterations work. All great. Absolutely ruined a cashmere coat. I took it in to have the lining repaired and it came back with bleach stains all over it. They lied and said it came in like that (why would I pay $50 to repair the lining of a bleach stained coat?) and made no effort to make it right or even apologize. I could ramble more so Yelp doesn't make me feel bad about writing such a short review but there's not much else to add. If you need something dry cleaned and you live in the neighborhood, Sunny Brite is the place to go. Parking Tip: The area around Sunny Brite can get a little congested (especially late in the day) so save yourself the stress and aim for one of the usually readily available spots around the outer reaches of Rite Aid's portion of the parking lot and then you can use those extra steps as justification for earning a cookie from the Subway a couple doors down. read more

I took my wedding dress here to be pressed (not cleaned, PRESSED - it was already clean!) because I wanted to save it from chemical cleaners. Big mistake. I received it, and it's covered in dark gray spots and RUST stains. I was HORRIFIED. They took no responsibility at all, despite the fact that I have made it a habit (Thank God) to take photos of clothes before I get them professionally cleaned or tailored. The photos prove that this "cleaners" destroyed my 1930s wedding gown which is irreplaceable and priceless. And the worst part? They demanded I pay for it and were holding it hostage. My husband paid for his tuxedo but refused to pay for the gown, and so I went in there after work and took it back myself. At first I was devastated, but now I am just livid. This place is awful. A mistake is a mistake but they went so far as to forgo any kind of honesty or responsibility and then expected me to pay for it. read more

I dropped two items off to be cleaned. They were not the stains remained. When I asked for a small discount I was refused because the job was not complete. I said that it was ridiculous to charge for work not done. They said I could wait a week to speak to the boss. I would give negative stars if I could. Sunny Brite cleaners lost my jacket and then kept trying to deny it. I went back to pick up my items, paid, and noticed that it was missing. The cashier and another employee couldn't find it. They said the owner George would call me back the next day. He didn't and then when I called to inquire, he kept hanging up and ending the conversation. I even said they could check their camera footage from a week ago and it would show me handing over a jacket. Would not recommend this place. So unprofessional. Wouldn't have expected such a bad experience. Literally you had one job to do--dry clean the items and return them...not LOSE them and still charge your customer! read more

I take my work shirts here starched on the light, and all dry cleaning done the responsible way, no chems, just good ole' simple cleaning. Can't say much other than they are super efficient, known them for years, not expensive and really attentive staff. Visits: Untold many Tip: Alterations done. The owner told me that that my brother was very picky and he won't do it anymore. I try to down play it letting him know that my brother is like that with his clothes, so I can keep coming back. My black cashmere sweater was picked up with every piece of dog hair still on it and covered in pill when I had no pill bringing it in. They took zero responsibility. I'm super disappointed. I dropped off my coat to have cleaned and they did not do their job. I understand its hard to get lint off of black coats but I don't think they even cleaned it. It was in the same condition it was in. My dad took my jacket back to have it cleaned again & they said it was really dirty the first time. I'm sorry, isn't that your job??? I paid over $50 dollars to have my jacket cleaned & have the lint taken off. It still looked horrible after the second time. I will not ever have my clothes dry cleaned here again...... read more

Sunny Brite is a real green cleaner! I have very sensitive skin and asthma and I looked a while for a cleaner like them. The majority of dry cleaners use a toxic solvent called perc to clean clothes (the state has begun a phase out plan because it was such a hazard). Sunny Brite uses a certified green cleaning method and I really notice the difference. There's no big whiff of fumes when I bring home my clothes. The quality is the same or even better than a normal dry cleaner. They get out stains and I'm always confident taking my clothes there. They also do great alterations there. I also love that they'll recycle your hangers for you. read more

I always get super good service here. The cleaning is great and the prices are reasonable. Sunny Brite is a green cleaner. This is important to me because I have really sensitive skin and have always had problems with conventional dry cleaning. With a true green cleaner, I never have issues with rashes or itchiness. I have also gotten clothes altered here and each time, the clothes have been perfect. I trust them with my expensive work clothes and my premium jeans as well. read more

I've lived a few blocks from this place forever, but had never been much of a dry clean kind of girl until relatively recently, so I finally decided to head to my friendly neighborhood dry cleaner! The "pants special" is one of the best deals around, and you can't beat how friendly everyone is every time you go there. I even brought ton of jeans i needed to have hemmed, and was really pleased with how they came out. I'm not sure the going rate for denim hemming, but I brought in 6 pairs of pants, and only paid $45. Good work, good people. I definitely would be back again! read more

Before I start my rant, I'd like to preface by saying that I have taken my clothes to dry cleaners quite a bit in various cities and have had my fair share of experience with how cleaners work. I give these guys two stars because they are 'eco friendly' and their turn around time is decent. Bad part: I took a pair of pants there to have them cleaned and they put creases in it when I asked for no creases. Mind you I had to tell them no creases, they didn't even bother to ask (good places will ask you how you want the garment treated). The worst part that has made me decide to never ever return here-- I took 5 shirts there to be dry cleaned a couple weeks ago and when I arrived to pick them up they had written a last name inside all of the garments in permanent marker to label them. Everywhere I have gone, not one cleaner has written a name (it wasn't even my own name they wrote inside the shirt!) inside a garment to label it. They always use tags! Regardless, I took the shirts back to have them remove the markings. The girl at the counter was unable to do anything about it and said I had to talk to the owner who was there only at 7 in the morning or 7 in the evening so it took me a week before I could manage to align a time to bring them back in and talk to the owner myself. They were able to remove the markings from 4 shirts and damage one shirts inner lining while attempting to remove it from that particular shirt. If you go in there; MAKE SURE to confirm how they will treat your garments because they can't be bothered to inform you as to their process of handling garments. I will never bring my clothes back here. read more

This "used" to be my drycleaner of choice, primarily because of the environmental awareness considerations. But recently, they damaged a new suit jacket of mine and they keep telling me that they're going to fix it...we're on week 2 now and no jacket.and no return call. They should just replace it but they are stringing this thing out. Then, they damaged a shirt of mine and I just got off the phone with the owner who tried to tell me that they didn't clean it and I wore it and probably forgot...even though it has a ticket number, it's on their hanger and wrapped in their plastic. I'm done with this place; environmentally friendly or not. It's bad enough that their process is ruining clothes but to have to listen to them patronize you and deny responsibility is inexcusable. .05 stars is all they get and I'm being nice. read more

This review is for the alteration only. I'm not sure how well they do with dry cleaning, but man.... They messed up 1 out of the 2 dresses I asked them to hem up for me. And the price was almost $40 dollars total. One dress came too short and the sewing was crooked The other was closer to the length I wanted but it didn't come put too even either. This place made me sad. I wonder if they do better with dry cleaning. =( read more

This place advertises same day service, but I just went in wanting a shirt, pants and a vest pressed and they told me the soonest they could do it was in 2 days! 2 days to iron something!? That's ridiculous! 2 stars only because I've had other stuff dry cleaned here and they do an ok job, but false advertisement should not be allowed! They really put me in a bind by advertising same day service and not providing it... Now I have to run around and look for a place that's open and can do it. read more

Nothing compares to Sunny Brite! My family has been patronizing this cleaners for decades. Growing up, it was the cleaners my dad went to every week. When I grew up, I started taking my clothes here, and let me tell you - they spoiled me! When I moved out I used other cleaners, multiple different ones, but something always went wrong, eventually. From lost clothing, to crushed buttons, and machine washed items that were sent for dry cleaning I've experienced every thing you could probably complain about with a cleaners. Yet, in allllll the years NEVER has there ever been an issue with Sunny Brite. I appreciate that this business is family owned and that they do great work. Try Sunny Brite, you won't regret it! After having so many other dry cleaners get it wrong I now let my clothes pile up for awhile and make the trip that's a bit out of my way so that Sunny Brite can clean my clothes b/c I love my clothes and they treat them well. read more

I really wanted to like this dry cleaners but they shrunk two of my favorite cashmere sweaters! I have been taking my sweaters to be dry cleaned for years and have never had a cleaners shrink them so dramatically. The owners and staff are great. They are friendly and do a great job to make you happy customer. I have taken anything we've needed to be dry cleaned to them and have had no problems. They have done alterations, fixed zippers and buttons on jackets, and I even had my wedding dress cleaned with them. They did an amazing job and put it in an acid-free beautiful box. They charge only half for cleaning a wedding dress compared to what I had looked into. And I agree with what a previous reviewer said...the clothes smell fresh and feel nice when you get them--no chemical smell or weird pressing. Support this wonderful business. read more

I have been a customer here for 4 years. I find the staff friendly and the owners very willing to satisfy their customers and correct any mistakes. They are extremely diligent about calling you if a mending/repair will take longer than anticipated or there is some issue with a stain on your clothes. My only complaint is that I wish they opened at 7am like many dry cleaners--because Sunny Brite opens later, I can never get there before work. read more
