Hidden gem! Don't listen to the bad reviews. There are two eagle rock dry cleaners (different owners), and people keep mixing the two up. This dry cleaners (the one next to goodwill) is the best dry cleaners and tailors that I have ever been to. I get my suits, shirts, and pants dry cleaned here at least twice a month, and they always do an amazing job. The tailor here is an artist with a needle and thread. I brought my suit jacket here to get the arms shorten and the back taken in (which is extremely difficult to do, and most tailors won't even alter a suit jacket), but the tailor here made my suit fit like a glove, and it cost me less than half of what Macy's or Mens Warehouse quoted me! Just picked up my latest tailored dress and it was perfect as usual. This place is run by a super sweet and efficient husband and wife team. I starting coming here after my favorite most trusted dry cleaner shut his doors about a year ago I have had at least a dozen dress alterations done here since, along with mending, and dry-cleaning. Everything comes back just how I ask for it and smells and looks fresh and clean. I'm sure I'll continue coming here for years to come. I have to admit, upon first entry, I wasnt too impressed BUT I've come to realize that sometimes its not always about the look and feel of the venue, but about the quality of work performed. I've tried multiple other dry cleaning spots around the Glassell Park, Eagle Rock area and this has probably have to be the cheapest, yet the best in cleaning quality. Each dress shirt was only $2.50 for dry cleaning and each one came out nicely cleaned and perfectly pressed especially on the collars and cuffs.. LOVE IT!!!! Also, they also leave your clothes smelling unscented -- WHICH I ALSO FREAKING LOVE. I also asked them about tailoring my dress shirts - they quoted me $15 per dress shirt, so not too bad at all. The only downside is the location since its in a small tiny plaza (next to Popeye's Chicken and Pizza Hut) and if you got a large vehicle, then manuevering in the parking lot can be quite a b*tch. Regardless, I think this is the definitely the spot for all your dry cleaning needs. Fair prices and excellent cleaning quality. read more

This is a family owned operation. They do a fabulous job. The collars and cuffs are hand finished on my shirts. Something that Boyer would not do...my pants never had double creases, another problem that I had with Boyer. Excellent service and quality of work. Even better an exceptional value. I, like the person below me, have high end suits. The fact that they're perfectly cleaned, pressed and hung on a proper hanger means everything to me.... They do things the old fashioned way...with proper service and courtesy. read more

These guys are great, and cheap. I had a couple small tears in some of my dress clothes, and had them "fixed" at another cleaner...they didn't look that great first of all, and as soon as the folks at ER dry cleaners washed them, the stitches came out. So they re-stitched them for me (and I don't even think they charged me) and did a WAY better job. I thought I was going to have to buy new clothes eventually, but now the tears are so hard to see, I'll probably get some more mileage out of these clothes.There were also a couple other small tears that I didn't even mention when I handed them my clothes to clean, and they fixed them for me, and did a great job. I'm not one to really write reviews on places unless the service was either less than favorable or exceptional.This was about to be the 2nd visit I've patronized this establishment. About a month ago, I noticed this cleaners in this convenient shopping plaza; walked in and asked how much they charge for shirts; the gentleman said $2.50. So about a week ago I took 7-dress shirts & 1 pant to be laundered...$22, no problem. However, I was a bit puzzled when just now picking up my previous order, I was also dropping off a new batch of the same (7 shirts/1 pant). The attendant wrote up ticket; this time totaling $24.50. I asked why the price difference? She replied "because you have dark colored shirts we charge more for the dry cleaning." As I start looking through the shirt labels I point out that none of them say dry clean only, she states "we don't go by the labels, we go by colors". So to be clear I state/ask, "I just want them laundered & pressed, but because I have darker shirts its more expensive? "Yes" she replied. "it cost more whether laundered or dry cleaned because they are dark colors". I said thank you; paid for my previous order and took my non-laundered load back with me. So, is it me or am I missing something here? Why would it cost more to clean a dark colored shirt vs. a light colored shirt? I don't ever recall having such a dialogue with a cleaners. The most they've asked is if I want light, med. or heavy starch and which date would I like them ready. I am certainly open to being educated on this issue, per at the moment this makes no sense to me at all. My search continues for a local & reasonably priced cleaners. Moved to eagle rock a year ago but still patronized business in my old neighborhood (Lincoln Heights). Dry cleaning is a necessity, as i wear uniforms to work and need to have perfectly pressed shirts/pants. Took in a pair of uniform pants for dry cleaning and to fix the hem on one leg... $11! The service is nothing spectacular, and the needle/thread are not made of gold... so why this high rate? I could get 3 full uniforms dry cleaned for the same amount. It's out of the way, but i will definitely be going back to Lincoln heights. read more

I was a regular Customer, I would come in every week bringing in suit coat,pants tie shirts for dry cleaning. At first they did a good job,then gradually they would leave spots on my shirts,until they were,nt even cleaning the shirts but pressing the stains into the fabric. WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO their attention, she was rude and disrespectful to me and gave me a terrible excuse, that it was all she could do. They are the worst!!! read more

Came here based solely on the Yelp reviews. I brought in three items: 1 Seersucker jacket, 2 dress shirts. Paid $13 to have them laundered: $7+($3.50*2). I asked they pay special attention to the ring around the collar. The woman said they would do their best. Their best was adequate. One of the shirts was fine, the jacket was so-so okay, the last dress shirt was poor. My hunt for a good local dry cleaner continues. read more

My boyfriend was kind enough to take a wrinkled strapless long chiffon dress to this dry cleaners for me so it could be steamed since I have been extremely busy. We have a formal wedding to attend tomorrow so he took it on Wednesday for it to be picked up yesterday. I showed up yesterday right before they closed to pick up the dress. I looked at it, it seemed to be wrinkle free so I happily paid the 20 dollars which we had found pricey to begin with but then again we don't do this often so we said okay sure. When I got home I tried the dress on and I was extremely dissapointed. It seemed like somehow the dress no longer fit me at the top. I literally have to hold it up otherwise it will fall. It fits loose and I don't understand how the top portion of the dress could fit loose all of a sudden. The dress once fit me and now after being steamed by this dry cleaners it no longer fits. According to them, they only steamed the bottom portion. Well if they only steamed the bottom portion how is it that I have a dress that no longer fits my bust area? I am currently at work and so I sent my boyfriend to talk to them about an hour ago and they have no explanation of why or how this happened. It is unfortunate that they have nothing to say and no excuse for this. I have been put in such an inconvenient situation. I now have to go find something to wear to a formal wedding that is happening tomorrow!! I would have been better off buying a steamer of my own to do it myself. Never coming here again. Not to mention, my boyfriend has been coming to them for a while and for this we will never return. All they did was give us 10 dollars back. Really? That shows how much they care about their customers. My dress is not worth 10 dollars and now it does not even fit me! Thanks for costing me more money Eagle Rock Cleaners. Excellent cleaning of my bedspread, which was recycled from pinch-pleated drapes. They got all the wrinkles out from the pinch-pleats.
