The tailoring was done exactly as expected, which is consistent with the quality I've come to rely on after being a customer here for many years. The storefront employee was contrite, offered a sincere apology, and provided a full refund for the order. While the refund itself was not the primary issue for me, the principle behind it -- acknowledging the inconvenience and taking responsibility -- meant the most. I truly appreciate the professionalism shown during this follow-up interaction. Based on how this was handled, I am willing to look past what I hope was a one-time issue and continue using their service moving forward. End of update ________________________________________________________________________ I have been a loyal customer of this dry cleaner for many years and have consistently trusted the quality of service--until my most recent experience. Last week, I brought in two pairs of denim. One pair was to be cleaned and used as a tailoring reference for a new pair. I prepaid for the services and was given a written promise date of 2/14 for pickup. When I arrived on the promised date, I was informed that my items were not ready. The employee at the front counter, who appears to be new, simply stated, "Sorry, we don't have your items today. You'll have to come back Monday." There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience of making a trip on the scheduled date, nor any effort to offer a reasonable accommodation. When I expressed concern, the situation became more disappointing. Instead of taking responsibility for missing the promised date, the employee turned the issue around and said, "You've been coming here for years--when have we ever made a mistake for you?" It felt as though he was using my long-standing loyalty as a way to dismiss the current mistake, rather than valuing it. Being a long-term customer should not be used against someone to minimize a legitimate concern. If anything, it should warrant greater care and professionalism. When I reiterated that I was relying on the written promise date provided to me, he escalated the interaction by raising his voice, speaking over me, and ultimately suggesting that I take my business to another dry cleaner in the future. Mistakes can happen in any business. However, how those mistakes are handled is what defines customer service. Unfortunately, this interaction reflected very poor service, particularly from the new storefront employee. It was surprising and disappointing, especially given my many years as a customer. I will return on Monday to retrieve my items and hope the matter concludes more positively. Depending on that outcome, I may revisit my review. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with Pristine Cleaners regarding an alteration. I brought in a dress to be taken in, and the woman at the counter, who seemed quite annoyed, immediately stated it wasn't possible because there was "no seam." She then dismissively handed the dress back.ti be honest she seemed TOO LAZY to even TRY However, I took the SAME dress to another tailor, who was able to complete the alteration in just 3 days without any issues. What the hell is she talking about "it's impossible" to fix this dress Also I wanted to share a story about a pair of Abercrombie and Fitch jeans I bought almost two years ago. Unfortunately, I can no longer return them, and they don't make smaller sizes in this specific style. When I had tried them on, they were quite large, to the point where she felt it was ridiculous and that I would need to go down three pant sizes. She attempted to fix them, and they looked decent, but I believe the tailor I took my OTHER DRESS she claimed was IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX could have made them look even better. Regardless, these jeans were just sitting in my closet, so I decided to try and do something with them instead of letting them gather dust. that being said I will never return to pristine cleaners ever again The lady is usually in a badass mood ANYWAY read more

I truly wish I could give 10 stars because I would! I've been coming in for several of years and have done Alterations, Deep cleaning, repairs, etc... you name it. One thing I love about her is the upfront communication and willingness to tell me what I need to achieve the best results. Sounds basic but I brought in 5 dress shirts that got stained from a drinks spilling in my car and when I asked wash and fold, she said, "she recommended dry cleaning" to really make sure the stains were taken care of! She could have just took the job at hand and not cared about what's best for me. I appreciate that! So with her attention to detail, she actually saved me money in the long run perhaps. The service truly goes above and beyond! I brought in a dirty pair of white tennis shoes and they almost look brand new! The address maps to the middle of a street intersection. I pulled over to call them and ask where they are and the woman on the phone said "next to Zankou's Chicken." There is no Zankou's Chicken nearby as far as I can see so that was not helpful for finding the shop at all. Then before I could ask for any more directions, the lady hung up on me. This lady is awesome!! I called her a day or two before we were going on a trip and my boyfriend needed his new suit altered. I called to see her pricing, which she gave me without run around. Her prices are very fair. And she was not only able to promise me with ease that she could tailor the pants on time but even sooner than expected. My boyfriend went to drop them off, expected to pick up the next day and she told him to come back later that same day! They were ready when he went to pick them up and fit him perfectly! I brought in 2 items that had stains I was hoping to get out. Unfortunately they said they at pick up they couldn't treat the stains because of the fabric. I would have been fine with that if they had called to tell me so I could have just picked up the items because that was the only reason they had been brought in (which is what I told them at drop off). Instead they dry cleaned them charging $30 for a dress and sweater and achieved nothing and the hot press likely further set the stains. Very disappointing. It is not a huge deal for the sweater but the dress is a very expensive Carolina Herrera. Word to the wise: this is not the place to bring expensive clothes but seems fine for day to day dry cleaning. read more

I love this cleaners, so much! I usually get alteration, a lot of alteration, but I've had a couple items dry cleaned. All services are great, reasonable, and returned quickly. Everyone there is so nice, and they make sure to communicate all details accurately, even if that means saying "I don't know, I'll have someone give you a call later." This means so much to me. More people should get comfortable saying "I don't know", but I digress... I haven't learned everyone's name yet, but three awesome ladies run this place. One seems to be the owner/one in charge, and the one who does the alterations. If she isn't there you may have to get a call back for you alteration pricing (depending on the service needed), but the other two ladies measure everything out well and the work comes back awesome. So feel confident leaving you items without getting pricing... trust me it's reasonable! I legit have to get everything altered and this is my third place in Glendale, by far my favorite. The last two places I tried started to get inconsistent with pricing and quality, I'm hoping this does happen here . I do not understand all the 5 star reviews for this place, maybe they were written by friends and family. This was my first visit and I had high hopes given the reviews. I brought in about 8 items for dry cleaning and the young lady mentioned to me twice when I come back to pick up my order bring cash. I told her what if I don't have cash and she said I could use a credit card. Upon my return a week later to pick up my order for $55 I did not have sufficient cash on me and offered my debit card. The girl could not get her credit card machine to work, blaming the internet and calling another person. The woman on the phone suggested I could give my card over the phone and she could charge my card for the dry cleaning. Uh, hell no to the person I have never met! So, the young woman suggested I go across the street to get cash at the ATM in the supermarket. I had no other choice but to inconvenience myself and get cash, the entire time I am thinking they just don't want any credit card payments so they can operate off the books. I return back 10 min later with her cash, and was given no thank you or even a small discount for the inconvenience. So, I am certainly not coming back here and best of luck to you if you show up with no cash!!! read more

Not the nicest or quickest place, but I decided to try them anyway, since they were local. They made me pay when I dropped off my suits. Red flag!!!! When I went in for pick up there was a spot on my white bottom down that was not there when I dropped it off. The lady acted stunned. No discount, but she did offer to try again. But, I have a funeral to attend. The rest of the suit seems fine, but I won't take a chance with them again. I'll go back to my Atwater spot. read more

Needed a men's suit and a dress hemmed and refitted for a wedding. The women who helped me out were all very professional and kind. We went in on a Sunday not a lot of other places were open, and she let us come in to get measured for both clothing items. She pinned my dress to hem it and then my partners suit pants needed to be hemmed as well. We told her our event wasn't for 3 more weeks and to not rush, she had it ready for us in a week, called me the day of to pick up my items and charged a very reasonable price. I found this place on yelp when I was looking for a dry cleaner that can help preserve my wedding gown. It's close to work and I chose it based on their reviews. I dropped off my dress and the person in charge wasn't there so they called me back to give me an estimate. She quoted me $200 which included cleaning and preservation so I went ahead with the process. It took about 1.5 weeks because there were some grass stains and the dress needed more attention. It was my fault because we've gotten married almost 2 years ago and I'm just taking it to get it cleaned and preserved now. I couldn't pick up the dress right away when it was done because I was helping care for my father in law and I couldn't even step away from work because I was so busy. It was a month later when I finally had time to pick up my dress. Amy was really nice about it. They didn't charge me extra for the extra cleaning and didn't give me any problems for picking up the dress a month later. (Sorry!!) The dress was boxed up very beautifully and I was very happy with the service. Picture is of the outer box. Other than the parking lot situation (too narrow and crowded at times but free), Pristine Cleaners is reliable when it comes to tailored clothing, dry cleaning dress pants, blouses, and even better for sweaters/jackets. I brought an original Members Only jacket from the 80's and they managed to remove a stain that had been there for months without me saying anything. The jacket looks like new. I have also brought dress pants and jeans to have hemmed and both jobs turned out amazingly well. You cant tell that my jeans are hemmed because they managed to use the same color thread found on the stitching of the jeans. They are professional in that they take great care in making sure the description of your clothing is written correctly and that the itemized charges are also correct at the time of pick up. No matter how close I arrive at times to closing time, I am still serviced in a friendly and unhurriedly manner. Their prices are fair compared to other dry cleaners in the area. And as a plus, Pristine Cleaners is conveniently located next to Zankou's Chicken and Baklava Factory making it even easier to pick up my dry cleaning and also grab a bite to eat or something sweet on the way out. I hate having to leave a negative review but I also hate having my time wasted. I came to drop off three uniform skirts to have them altered. Dropped them off on a Friday and was asked if Monday pick up was okay. I said it was fine and proceeded to come on Monday to pick them up. I came too early and didn't realize I had to come back AFTER 5 to get them. Okay so maybe that was just miscommunication so I left. I came back at 6:35 to pick them up and the nice older lady attempted to look for my items which were promised ready after 5. She didn't find anything on her computer when she put in my info so she called another worker. She even put me on the phone to ask for my items and the lady on the phone told me my items were in fact ready so then I waited 15 minutes as the older lady looked for my items as she sorted through every single piece of clothing they had in the store. She did end up finding my items and the alterations look pretty good. I just did not appreciate the lack of good customer service, clear miscommunication between employees and my time wasted. read more

It was like a Cinderella story, she was loaned a dress from a designer, jewelry from another, and was able to fly in the day before the event. Well, when she arrived the dress was rumpled like an old paper bag. And we were panicked because here's this dress that neither of us could afford in real life, and we couldn't mess it up. And it's WHITE. SILK. I am in LA but had never used Pristine Cleaners. We found them through their amazing ratings on Yelp. They were the ONLY place we found that would steam this dress for my friend on a Saturday. They were so nice, too. They got our anxiety and treated us with kindness instead of the eye-roll we probably deserved. Got on board and reassured us. They turned it around in 3 hours! Called us to let us know it was done.
