I've been a customer of theirs for years, taken several clocks in for work, had jewelry repaired, etc. I always thought very highly of them and recommended them to all of my friends and family. The gentleman that waited on me, made me feel unwelcome, never smiled or greeted me, I felt as though I was inconveniencing him somehow. Just wow, what a change since the last time I was in there. I guess I have to find a new favorite jeweler and clock repair shop. I left shaking my head.

During the resizing process, the ring was damaged and I was later informed that a diamond had been burned, requiring the ring to be sent out to another shop. The process took nearly two weeks -- far longer than what was originally represented. When the ring was returned to me, it had visible scratches, blemishes, and imperfections at the resized area. It looked noticeably worse than when I dropped it off and did not resemble a "like-new" engagement ring. When I raised concerns, management downplayed the damage as normal for platinum and attempted to address it with an on-the-spot polish, which was done without a clear agreement beforehand. While the resizing fee was eventually refunded, responsibility for the damage itself was minimized. An engagement ring is not something you trust to "trial and error." Between the damage, delay, lack of clear communication, and the pressure to accept an inadequate fix, this experience was extremely disappointing. I would strongly caution anyone considering resizing or repair work here -- especially on high-value or sentimental jewelry.

Shulz Jewelers…read more Many years ago when Schulz was located in Covington, Kentucky, they were the place to buy jewelry or get a clock or watch fixed. The old man had come from Germany where he was a jeweler and he was the best. Now they are located in Ft. Mitchell and the old man is long gone. I took a watch there to get a new battery and they said I had to leave it for a week before they could give me an estimate as to how much it would cost to repair. I was also told it never actually takes a week. They never called as promised. I was told it would cost round $250.00 to repair and I would have to wait another 5 to 7 weeks. In the past they charged me $125.00 for a new crystal. Another jeweler I found charges $50.00. I finally got it back after 10 days and took it to another jeweler. The new jeweler replaced the battery for $15.00 and said that an insulator was blocking the battery, which probably occurred when Shulz first looked at it. The new jeweler fixed it. Fifteen dollars and 15 minutes not $250.00 and seven weeks. Times have certainly changed.

They've been speedy quick with quality repairs both times. I've also found their prices to be very reasonable. Recently, one of my small side diamonds fell out on vacation, and Diamonds Rock was able to fix and tune up my ring in just a few days. They also charged me less than originally quoted! I can't remember his name, but there's a guy who is always there and he is very friendly and patient, especially considering my husband is very particular about my rings. Diamonds Rock will continue to be our first stop for my ring repair and future jewelry needs!

The shoes were in a bag. The box was taped up. The label with my information was attached outside the shoebox and bag it was placed in. I left the store. Went to my vehicle. I wanted to wear my shoes so I could workout at the nearby Planet Fitness. I cut opened the bag. I opened the box... The ANTI-THEFT SENSOR WAS STILL ATTACHED TO THE SHOES...! What??? So what was I supposed to do if I had not checked the merchandise before I left ? Who would not take the sensor off the merchandise before bagging and taping a label on it ? I RETURNED the shoes. The poor lady with no voice kept apologizing. I asked her to stop. It wasn't her fault. The manager had to assist and stated its a huge problem and customers are not happy but the " powers that be" wont make changes. there were so many people making returns and complaining the manager just walked away. I have never seen a company go down hill so quickly!
