Barbecue, green beans and baked beans.
Valarie J.

Friendly staff and great ambience although the dining room was a little smoky although it didn't smell like smoke. The staff was great. We arrived late so our desired choice of ribs and catfish has sold out. My family of three got different items. The barbecue was not seasoned at all but I did enjoy the medium barbecue sauce. The green beans had bacon but otherwise unseasoned and needed salt and pepper. The baked beans were quite sweet which is not my personal preference. My husband got the blackened chicken and potatoes salad which is said were elementary also and finally my daughters got the country fried steak with gravy. With green beans and fries. I wish the food was a bit more seasoned. We enjoyed the conversation with the couple at the next table over.

The food is excellent. The waiters are really nice. I love the dessert. Also the ambience is great. It's the place where a scene from the movie Walk the Line was filmed.

Bozo's dependable Memphis-style BBQ is served in an old school diner that really takes you back to the 50's and 60's. I'm not a fan of mayo-based slaw, but they also offer vinegar slaw, which paired well with the pork and medium sauce. Great service while I sat on a bar stool.

Taken from the Highway. Will post more.

Just stopped in on our way to check on some property and saw this Gem from the Highway. We ordered burgers and fries and also Fried Pies. The burgers were amazing nice and old fashion. The fries were well seasoned and hot...delicious The Cherry Fried Pie was Phenomenal! I've never had that before and I wished I ordered 2...Lol! This is a place you want to checkout and you will not be disappointed.

Take your pick of how you want to dress up that sandwich!

Do not go there for bbq. Serving pulled pork only and ribs on certain days does not make you a bbq restaurant. Will not stop there again.

Sling Shot Charlie's - Dinner

As per usual, I forgot pics - but imagine your grandma's cooking during a summer harvest from her…read moreown garden. A perfect meat and three. Everything was delicious. I had the veggie plate with butter beans (they were a bit sweet and limas, not true butter beans), fried squash (the slice it long ways and hand batter), spinach mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs (delicious, no notes). I tried both hush puppies and a roll. Personally, the hush puppies weren't my favorite, but the roll was buttery goodness:). Most importantly, I asked our server at the beginning if they still had chocolate cobbler and if they were running low to go ahead and bring it out. At first they had plenty, but a few minutes later cobbler was in front of me because she noticed it was running low. So dessert first! Don't mind if I do:) it was warm, gooey, and delicious. Others in my group had the chicken fried steak, and chicken tenders. Everyone was very happy with their meals! Service was great, though the kitchen was a little slow. It took about 30 mins to get our meals. Fun, old timey atmosphere - great service - and delicious home cooking. Will definitely be back.

As soon as you're seated, you'll have a tempting signboard presented at your table with every southern classic you can imagine. With entrees like fried chicken and catfish, endless sides like turnip greens, white beans, and just about anything you can imagine fried, and every kind of southern pie, it's all there. The catfish is magnificent, with that wonderfully gritty cornmeal batter surrounding flaky, tender fish. The complimentary roll is also delicious! And the servers are very nice here! But there are some downsides. The fried okra, my favorite southern side dish, is actually soft and soggy. No self respecting southerner would ever make soggy fried okra. It's about the worst I ever had. And the onion rings, which are hard to mess up, were burnt black and lacked flavor. They were inedible. The cashier is rude and doesn't have time for "thank you" or small talk or a smile or even giving you your receipt when nobody else is in line to pay their bill. That's just how it is. If you want good catfish, Sling Shot Charlie's will come through. But if you want a southern culinary experience that's enjoyable, there are much better places to have it!

McAdoo's - The Rib-eye Dinner

Local Bar with Massive Rib-eyes…read more Mcadoo's is an experience, and one you should explore if you are in the Blytheville area. I have, over the years, wanted to go and check the place out, but a combination of not being able to find it and not having enough time has always kept me from a visit. During my last visit to Blytheville, a business colleague and I decided to check this infamous establishment out and have a business dinner, beers, and rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is located in central Blytheville, across from the fire station, and it is in a simple metal shack, which can make it hard to find. There are no signs on the building, just the name written on the entrance door. Inside, you find a fully functioning bar with pool tables and plenty of tables to sit at. Mcadoo's has an old-school vibe as the inside is lit up by old-school red lights. Like bars of old, you can smoke inside; keep this in mind if you are a non-smoker or have allergies to smoke. Mcadoo's has a fully stocked bar, but it's mostly known for its rib-eye steaks. Our server came to our table and informed us that they had no apps and that our only options were rib-eye with salad, baked potato, and toast, or rib-eye with toast, as nothing else was available on the menu. The rib-eyes took about twenty minutes to arrive, and they were massive and cooked to perfection. The salad and the baked potato were fresh and okay, but the focus was on the steak. The steaks were juicy and tender, and they were also very affordable. The allure of Mcadoo's is the experience, the full bar and the affordable rib-eyes. It is also a favourite place for locals to hang out. Overall, a good experience and a great rib-eye dinner.

Miss Barbara is a most delightful hostess and owner. Looking for local color? This is the place. The entrance does not face the road so you will have to look for the building that looks like a body shop, but the spacious interior has a big bar and plenty of seating with several pool tables. Clearly this is a neighborhood hangout.
