I had a really unhappy experience there today. We were with a large group celebrating a friend's birthday and while the guy playing music and our waiter were both kind and friendly, one of our group didn't get her food and the fries I was served were the ends and pieces and were fried hard. I didn't bother the waiter because he was already getting crap about the missing order but I wrote on the back of my receipt and they ignored it. I told them I would leave a bad review. My table mates were served long soft fries and I was not. I can't afford to eat out often and to have such a preventable bad experience is discouraging. Their seafood is highly complemented but with service like that, I see no point in spending what money I do have there. read more

Amazing place for family! All staff were friendly and helpful in offering suggestions. Food was fresh and excellent! We have heard a lot about this place for the last couple of weeks from different people, and we finally made it there tonight. We pulled up around 5:00 and thought the parking lot was full, but it was not too busy once we got inside. A friendly greeting at the door AND inside the restaurant. The food was SO yummy, and WAY more than we could ever finish. By the time we finished our meal, the place was hopping, on a Thursday night, no less! Another friendly good-bye at the door. Generous portions. Seafood is hit and miss. Sometimes it is very good, sometimes a little old and fishy tasting. Friendly waitstaff. Bartender is very friendly too but don't ask her to mix an old fashioned. She doesn't know the recipe but she will give it her best guess. The restaurant seems to occasionally have a problem with houseflies. Live country music was a plus the last time we ate there. Having to exit the restaurant, go outside and around the building to a separate building to reach the restrooms was a hassle but on the other hand the restrooms were very clean. I didn't love the shrimp cocktail as it looked and tasted like they peeled then boiled the shrimp which made them a bit rubbery to me, but all and all I would go as a regular if I lived locally. Very disappointed in how this restaurant is now being run. My wife and I ordered a fried crab claw appetizer and they were so delicious, that she ordered a fried crab claw platter as her entree. When her meal came out, she had less crab claws than the appetizer had. We spoke to Kyle, the General Manager, and he said the appetizer was accidentally over portioned. I'm thinking, if you knew that, then why didn't you send it back to the kitchen and have them portion it correctly. He in no way tried to offer any other option to satisfy her. I even told him to send back the platter and we'll just order the appetizer since it was $11 cheaper for the same amount of crab claws. My order was blackened chicken pasta and a salad. When my order came out, they brought both the salad and the entree together. I told them to send back the entree, because I wanted to eat my salad first. They did, but a restaurant staff should know better than to send out the salad and entree together. There is no business sense on how to operate a restaurant with this staff. I will not return to this restaurant, which is sad, because I want to support our home town businesses. We don't have the support of tourists because our town is not in a tourism district. It relies strictly on home town people. Just like some other businesses have done, this one will probably fail in the near future due to lack of knowledge on how to properly run a business. read more

We had a party of 5 people, all grown ups. Our female server was great. When our orders were brought out, we all got our orders, except my sister. The server had to go back to kitchen 3 times to get issue taken care of, but she finally had to take the issue to manager to get it straightened out. Then the kitchen got busy preparing my sister's order which by this time the other 4 people in party was getting to point of being through with meal. Took forever to get our meals and when we did an order was wrong. Then it took another 10 mins to get that one meal corrected. Everything was cold and tasted like it sat under a heat lamp. I could tell my okra and onion rings were definitely not cooked fresh!! They had been previously cooked and sat... the shrimp on the po boy sandwich was also cold and tasted gummy. Really wanted to love this place....that didn't happen. Ordered royal reds then found out they were out of them. Changed order to bbq shrimp instead, they were out of baked and mashed potatoes, ordered other side items instead. After waiting over 30 minutes we were finally told they were out of bbq shrimp so we then ordered steamed shrimp (all this while tables around us ordered, ate and left) waited another 45 mins, finally walked out with no food. read more

I visited this place with some coworkers for lunch, and it was not a pleasant trip. We ordered drinks and ALL of our glasses were dirty! My coworker's wine glass has residual lipstick on the rim! Eww! When we sent them back, our food was brought to us on dirty plates. We sent them back and the manager came over to apologize. He saw that they were dirty and offered us complimentary food to which we declined. It was not a great 1st impression. I went back with a different group, but I refused to eat. read more

There were pros and cons tonight. BBQ shrimp were very good, sides were all great (loaded potatoes, fried okra, green beans). Portion sizes are large and the prices are very reasonable. But unfortunately our food was brought out at very different times. A few people were almost done eating before my son got his meal. Sides were brought in waves, over 15 minutes apart. Why wouldn't you serve the entire order together? Just lots issues in the kitchen that need to be adjusted. Crab cakes tasted great but had shell in every bite. Fish of the day special (wahoo) was a shame - great fresh piece of fish, but over cooked and dry as a bone. Two of us had the fish and both were over cooked. The fish wasn't served with any type sauce so we requested lemon butter. It never happened. I finally asked for just lemons, hoping that would make it a little better. It really didn't help. Server was very nice. I want to like this place since we love Bozo's, so we'll try again in a few months. Hopefully they will have worked out some of the kinks by then. read more

Sat at the bar, very busy, bartenders seemed over worked, bartenders moved floor mats and cleaned up water on the floor without washing their hands, cold French fries, had to ask if our food was sitting on the counter waiting for us, owner seemed to be a micro manager.
