So much so that I would like action to be taken against this employee. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but this is not the first time that he has treated my sister and I this way. Immediately when we walked into this store, he practically told us to get out. This employee never acknowledges us. I simply asked if we could purchase IL scratch-off lottery tickets. I was immediately told in a very aggressive tone that lottery is closed. I can use the machine. Trust me, I would have preferred to use the machine, but the ticket I wanted was behind the register. I then asked why scratch-off lottery was closed and he yelled that they close at 9? Still prompting for an explanation, as I knew that you could purchase and redeem lottery scratch-off tickets, until 2am, he simply screamed that it was closed and to get out. Please refer to the link stating specifically the timeframe you can purchase and redeem scratch-off tickets in Illinois. What time do they stop selling scratch off lottery tickets in Illinois? (askinglot.com). At this point I began to videotape because I was that upset. I proceeded to ask to speak to a manager and he said, get out, you can come back in the morning. I asked if I could give him/her a call and he refused. In the meantime, my sister wanted to check out an item she won through your current Fuel Runner promotion. He did finally check her out but was not happy about it. In fact, he mentioned under his breath that you only come in here to get everything free! Yes, we do come in because this is the only location near us, to redeem our promotion earnings, but if they did not want to honor these, they should not be a Circle K Franchise. This is simply unacceptable as nobody should be treated this way, especially as a customer. To make matters worse, I stopped back in this evening 4/28 at 8:30 p.m. to purchase the scratch-off tickets. It was a different clerk, so I asked him what time they stop selling scratch-offs behind the counter. He told me never. You can purchase those 24/7! So, here in lies my point. Absolutely ridiculous. Be warned!

So I pull around to go back to the storefront to get a refund for the car wash. The guy comes out of the store and says is the car wash not working? I said I don't know whether it's working or not. You've got cones in front of it so you can't get at it. I assume it's not working. The guy tells me no refund save the receipt that it is good for a year. I said I live in Chicago I just happened to be up in this area so I need a refund. The guy keeps telling me to come back and get the car wash. I said I don't live near here. I'm confident the plan is asked the customer to leave and hope they lose the receipt so they get $11 for nothing. Then I go inside and he gives me nine dollars for an eleven dollar car wash. He said that's all you get because you got the discount on the gas. I said that wasn't my fault. I was willing to buy the gas and a car wash. But for some reason it's not working and you had no idea. But you're still selling the car washes. I had to tell him I was going to dial 911 and tell the police to handle it. Finally he gave me the $2 back. BTW I would have never bothered the place with something like this. Waste of money and time. Go to We Wash across the street or anywhere but here.

I have seen gas as high as $399.9/gallon on the south side near Midway Airport. Costco Gas tends to be anywhere from $.20 - $.30/gallon less then most gas stations. I stopped to put $20 in my car before heading back to the city, only to discover they preauthorized $175.00 for my purchase. I called Amex and they said they would look into it, but even mor suspicious is when I called the station and was bold a) there was no manager b) the manager was at the store c) it was AMEX that was holding the charge. Obviously what they do is over authorize your card, get the deposits ASAP and then refund the overcharge, after they have used your money for a week. It's been 4 days and still pending so AmEx is going to flag the charge as fraud, which it is. I spoke to a friend that lives nearby and she said they do it all the time and the only way around it is to pay with cash inside or pay for a specific amount of gas. I vote for never going there again as long as I live because there is NOTHING posted about the 800% over-authorization, Mobil does not have any such policy and AMEX says it's a violation of merchant agreements and are investigating this practice. I wouldn't be so mad if it wasn't the only card I had with me and their crazy overcharge flagged fraud prevention (I never charge more than $50 on this card) and then couldn't pick up my dinner. This is a predatory business practice and you would be better off running out of gas and using roadside assistance than this den of thieves. It is not normal, nor legal.

It's at the corners of Rte 83 and Buffalo Grove Roads. About 1/2 a mile off Lake Cook Road. This is an older gas station and is in definite need of "sprucing up". Especially the tiny little cashier/store. Did I say tiny?Yes, it's tiny. They have a few little pop coolers and what-not, but it's small, man. You get more than one person in there to pay, and it's awkwardly cramped. The people working behind the counter are pretty much NEVER friendly. In fact, you can usually count on them to be rude and UN-friendly. Whatever. It's a gas station. But usually when I'm forking over my hard-earned money, at least a "Thank You" is in order, especially when I could be spending that money at a different gas station. Basically I usually end up here out of need, not out of want. If i had a choice, I'd much rather go to one of the newer/brighter/bigger/cleaner stores. Oh yeah, that reminds me, this place is usually pretty grimey, too. It wouldn't hurt them to pickup a rag and some windex. Nope. Nix the Windex and pickup some antibacterial cleaner instead. They've also got a car-wash that i've probably used twice. Besides being overpriced, I can't really recall the details on how the car-wash was.

I strongly recommend AVOIDING this place…read more The exterior/interior wash costs about $30, plus another $8 if you want your mats done, which already feels overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, the real problems started when I got back into my car. I tried to put the car into drive and couldn't. After a moment of confusion, I realized the driver-side floor mat had been put back on top of the gas pedal. This is not just careless, it's dangerous. No basic quality check should miss something like that. Then I noticed the interior windows were still filthy and heavily streaked, like they were wiped down with dirty rags. I had to point it out and send the car back twice before they finally got the glass reasonably clean. The worst part is the damage to my interior. The leather on both rear seats is now visibly stretched, apparently from someone kneeling on them while cleaning the rear window. This was not an issue before the wash. When I raised it with the general manager, Arelli, I was told it was just "age and wear and tear," which is simply not true. The seats were in near-mint condition before they touched the car, and it's frustrating to have the problem dismissed instead of addressed. Between the safety issue, poor cleaning quality, and damage to my interior followed by zero accountability, this was an extremely disappointing experience. If zero stars were an option, that's what this place would get. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend their services to anyone.
