Came in for trial class ( Muay Thai) for my 13yr old and she loved it! Coach Mathew is awesome! Very patient and the kids love him. Now my 7 yr old wants to get in on the action! Lol, I highly recommend All In MMA. Master Cha is the best! I've seen him train with some of the best! Cisco Rivera, Henry Corrales, etc...look them up, these guys are beasts!

high kick!

Great for kids and adults. My sons are 11 & 9 and we all decided to give Muay Thai kickboxing a try. I went on Saturdays (I wrestled and captained my high school team as a teen) and my kids go 1-2 times a week and on Saturdays too. The classes are held separately so kids are with kids only and vice versa. The coaches each have their own styles, but coach Johnson is particularly dynamic, engaging and great at bringing beginners in kids and adults along so you're learning and getting better with each session. No matter your skill level or current physical condition, you will be pushed into shape and learn confidence building techniques that you can implement immediately. Highly recommend All In MMA!

I been going to Candal's for sometime and it's great for beginners and more advanced. Professor Candal is very knowledgeable in jiu jitsu, mma, health and nutrition. Professor Candal is a phenomenal teacher and has some of the best assistant coaches. If you want to get good at Jiu Jitsu, this is the place to go! He told me he was going to get me in the best shape of my life and he delivered. I lost weight and I am now in the best shape of my life.

The progression I underwent the first two months training with Professor Victor exceeded the eight months of training at the previous gym I trained at. When you sign up with Candal's Martial Arts & Brazilian Jui Jitsu, you'll find various levels of jiu jiteros to train with, from white belts to black belts. Along with Professor Victor, you'll find Professor Carl and Professor Ivan to add to the vast knowledge and myriad of techniques. Whether you're looking to be a serious competitor or a hobbyist in jiu jitsu, I highly recommend training at Candal's Martial Arts & Brazilian Jui Jitsu!

The atmosphere of this gym is super chill and non-intimidating. Everyone I've met has been friendly…read moreand supportive! I like that Edwin spends a bit of extra time giving detailed explanations and answering questions, explaining WHY you do or don't do something and not just how to do it. He's great at breaking down complex movements into digestible pieces and suggesting tweaks to improve your technique. He tailors advice for every student depending on many things - different body types, personal goals, current injuries, whatever you can think of. I feel like I have made quicker progress at this gym compared to other places because of this. It's a small gym at this point in time; a lot of the classes feel almost like private sessions. It's a hidden gem! Definitely drop by if you're in the area, whether you've been doing bjj your whole life or if you're interested in trying out for the first time! I felt comfortable to roll during the trial class as a small woman. The people at The Grappling Lab make sure all students feel safe. Also offers best pricing in the area :)

Coach Edwin is a highly-qualified black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu who truly cares about the art,…read moreas well as the progression of his students. I trained with Edwin for more than a year, and 100% still would be if I lived in the area. Before starting, I watched a little UFC, and had heard of BJJ but I had zero experience in practicing combat sports, and really didn't have a clue what BJJ was. Now I'm all in, two comps deep, and am eager to train whenever I can - I really don't think that would be the case if Edwin's classes weren't so engaging, and if the environment wasn't so welcoming (even the other students go out of their way to help make their training partner better each session). Coach Edwin concentrates on the fundamentals and builds a foundation for his students, no matter what level they are. It's apparent that he has experience teaching, and uses that to his advantage when coaching. He understands the fine details of each technique that he's teaching, and can explain how you can improve in any given position by applying small adjustments to your game. When he starts explaining a guard, movement, take-down, submission, etc., the entire class is dialed into whatever he's saying. He's not one of those guys who will scoff at you for asking a question, or look down on you for not knowing something. He actually encourages you to ask questions, especially if you are a white belt. If you're considering starting BJJ or if you're looking for a new place to train, I would highly recommend the Grappling Lab. Your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, confidence, and cardio will thank you!
