I've been with FYT Gym for about a year and a half now. The gym environment is great. Some days I don't feel like going, but at the end of class, I never regret my decision to go. FYT Gym is the only gym I've ever been a member of and felt that sense of community. All of the coaches are welcoming, knowledgeable, motivating and great teachers. They focus on not only giving you a great workout, but also making sure you have fun doing it! There are classes for everyone - boxing, kickboxing, FYT Camp (bootcamp style workout stations), TRX, and even Yoga and Pilates!! The addition of Yoga offerings at this gym has been a real GAME CHANGER! FYT GYM is a very unique gym. The coaches & members are accommodating & friendly. Joining a new gym can be very intimidating, but here, I never felt bad about being a newbie because the coaches would make the effort to be clear with instructions and technique in every class and members were all understanding and helpful as well. The classes are 45-50 min long and I get a great workout while having fun punching/kicking and learning new things at the same time. I went from exercising 0-1 times a week to 3-4 times a week consistently. FYT GYM has helped me in my health journey as I've changed my perspective on exercise as a pleasure in life rather than a boring chore. I just started going here a few months ago, but this place is great. Have never boxed before and did a private lesson with Irene. She was so helpful and I learned a great deal in a very short time. I have taken classes with JP, Krista, Irene, Jessica, and Johnny. All of them are there to see you get better. It's definitely different from going to the gym on your own and the classes are always new and exciting. I haven't had a class that has repeated yet. Defintely not getting bored anytime soon here. If you want to burn 1000 calories in 45 minutes Krista will kick your butt. I have taken total body workout class with Irene and she comes up with amazing isolated exercises You're always moving and always have a targeted purpose. Had a class with Jessica and she was able to identify how I was punching incorrectly and worked with me for just a few minutes and fixed the problem on the spot. JP's classes are very precise and his movements really push my control to the limits. Johnny has a great boxing class and keeps everyone motivated, moving, and thinking. The hardest part was walking in the door. I am glad I joined and have already seen improvements in my strength and overall health. I would totally recommend this place. read more

Are you ready to die.... From support? Had my first class (boxing) today with Krista as the instructor. JP another instructor also happened to join the class. Here are my takeaways Pros: 1. Very supportive from the class mates to the instructors 2. Thorough- as someone who's a bit of an introvert in group fitness classes it was amazing that one of the instructors (JP) actually took the time to go through the moves so that you aren't a deer in headlights 3. Affordable- 100$ a month for unlimited classes. Like WHATTT 4. CLEAN- I hate gyms where I feel like I'm rolling around in someone else's sweat. FYT GYM felt very clean and maintained 5. Although it was my first class I felt like everyone really cared about each other's fitness journey. Cons: 1. parking lot is a little small, I had no issues but I can see that being a problem if your there during busy times. I would recommend just coming in early to avoid that. Would I recommend? Yes. I initially went in thinking I'm going to have to think it over. But although I died a little (a lot. Like omg I died so many times). I still made the decision to sign up. If your introverted like me, I'd suggest taking the step and just giving it a shot. The first class was free- so you can get the vibe of the place and see if you like it or not! read more

10/10 recommend this gym to anyone. There's a class for everyone. Personally, I'm not much of a boxer so I love the Fyt Camp (hiit classes) and the combo Powerbox classes (half boxing, half hiit). If you get a chance to take one with Krista, do it! She makes sure your heart is pumping and her classes are always challenging (in the best way). I'm also a big fan of JP's classes. He incorporates strength, mobility, and balance into his workouts and they're always interesting. All the coaches here are wonderful and make sure you get a good workout in. They also make sure to modify if you have any injuries or issues. The members here are also very respectful and supportive of each other. My boyfriend and I have been searching for the perfect gym to do boxing/kickboxing together. After seeing FYT GYM posted on my friends Instagram multiple times, I decided to reach out to Andrew (one of the owners). I was skeptical in the beginning, but he made me feel comfortable, confident, and excited to try something completely new. The next day we started our first kickboxing class with Coach Mikey, and immediately became new members the same day. Their gym is small but so, so comfortable and welcoming. We love it! We've only met Mikey and JP, BOTH WHOOPED OUR BUTTS! But the aftermath felt great. They're also patient and kind, didn't mind if I took a step back to catch my breath (lol), which is wonderful because I usually get very anxious under pressure. I definitely recommend. I have been recommending this place to family and friends ever since our first day. We've only been here twice btw and already, I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders (such a cool and fun way to escape life for a bit). There's no other place I would rather be then to train with the ones who know it best. JP is an exceptional personal trainer. I wish I could've continued training with him, but due to me relocating I'm unable to do the commute. However, he was so kind to me and pushed me to my fullest potential while cheering me on! He's such a nice, humble guy who's very knowledgeable about fitness. Where do I begin? I took a 3 year hiatus from boxing and during that time, I had a new baby, the pandemic occurred, and my boxing coach had passed away. I was referred to Fyt Gym by one of my clients who sang their praises, and honestly, after today, so will I. Anyone who knows me knows I've never exercised regularly. Approaching age 40, I knew I needed to find a regular workout routine. I've been "skinny fat" my whole life. Not overweight (though I do have some chunky parts), just VERY out of shape. I Instagram stalked FYT Gym for a couple months because they are closest to my house. I ended up at another local gym because a) I didn't think I could do any of the things I was seeing in the videos and b) the other gym had a Groupon deal. My friend, Remy decided to join me and after a month, I realized I liked HIIT. Who knew? Luckily, Remy hated that gym so I said "well, we could try this other one I've been stalking". A year later, I am happier than I ever thought I could be with working out. Some might even say obsessed. After the first free class, we both signed up as members. I only did the FYT camp classes (like HIIT) for the first several months because the boxing looked really intimidating (coordination is not my thing). My heart was pounding the first time I finally tried a boxing class because I was so nervous. Luckily, the coaches are all super nice and accommodating. All of the coaches (Andrew, JP, Mikey, Krista, Matt) are very different which is awesome because you get a different type of workout when each one leads a class. I've been doing personal training sessions with Coach JP who is the best fit for me because of his patience and innovativeness. Confidence is my biggest weakness and JP is always encouraging, even when I can't do something. He never gets frustrated with me, even when he's had to tell me to "extend", "cover the head", "more hips", over and over. He also knows what to say when I've lost my motivation, which has happened more than once. With the closures due to COVID-19, everyone was saying "just workout at home". I did it for the first three weeks (thanks to the FYTatHome videos) but then I lost all motivation. The closure made me realize I still don't like working out but I love going to FYT gym. (When I get tied up at work and have to miss a class, I get so mad.) I'm so grateful FYT gym has found a way to reopen. I still have a long way to go to get to where I want to be but there's no place else I'd rather be to get myself there. (They just opened a second location in Fullerton with some new coaches so if you're in the area, I highly recommend checking them out.) read more

I am a big fan of FYT gym. I have been attending off and on since March 2018. I initially attended their group training classes. I really enjoyed the classes and they definitely got my heart pumping. The workouts are high intensity and you leave feeling victorious. I stopped attending only because of a back injury and loss of mobility. I missed the gym lots during my absence as the coaches provide such a positive and fun environment and are so motivating. Everyone is so welcoming. I have recently returned for personal training with JP. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He is an amazing coach, super informative, passionate about fitness and wellbeing, and super patient. He has helped my mobility improve greatly. I still have days where my body works against me but each session brings me a little further in my recovery and weight loss journey. Prior to the pandemic, our workout got me to a point where I went from only being able to walk 1/8th of a mile to several miles. Unfortunately, after a few months under the stay at home and being sedentary, the back pain returned but I am confident that the personal training will get me back to a pain free state again. read more

FYT gym is hands down the best boxing gym in the Orange County/LB area. The vibes are immaculate and the community within the gym is so supportive. I came into FYT gym with no prior experience fighting and fell in love with the sport. The coaches are all so warm and welcoming. Everyone is encouraging each other to be the best version of themselves. After a few months of training I got the hang of the basics and started personal training with Coach JP, who is literally the sweetest most patient trainer. I recently moved out of state and was SO sad to leave FYT gym behind. It had become my daily ritual. My weekly sessions with JP we're so therapeutic and a safe space to push myself to my edge. I've been going here for 3 years and still look forward to each workout. FYT gym has classes or private training for everyone ranging from just getting into shape or training for amateur fights. The coaches (Mike/Johnny/Andrew/JP/Matt/Irene/Jess/Krista) are knowledgeable with real fighting experience and members are welcoming and friendly. I moved so I no longer can make the drive to this spot but it's going to be extremely difficult to find another gym that compares to this one. Yo! This gym is awesome! I cannot stress how welcoming, challenging, fun and effective this gym is! They offer a variety of classes from HIIT workouts, boxing, kickboxing, TRX conditioning and pilates/yoga. The coaches at this gym are all friendly and kick your butt during the workouts so be prepared to sweat, learn and have fun! I am a long distance runner and have a 24hr gym membership but I needed something different. I wanted to go back to HIIT workouts which I had with a previous gym and I came across this particular gym through a recommendation and social media. I did an hour private session (for free) and after that one class I decided to sign up! I originally came to this gym to get a good HIIT workout but I'm ending up learning a new skill in boxing, developing my hand-eye coordination (which is non existent, hence why I do long distance running), strengthening my core and learning to meditate to strengthen my mind and breathing, which is detrimental to my running! This place is not just a gym, it's a community with members of different backgrounds and different levels of fitness who end up being close because here, the goal is to better one's self! read more

This review is long overdue. I've been coming here for over a year now and I can't believe I haven't written a review. First of all, although it says gym on the sign, this is more of a second home to me. I've been to many gyms in the past and they seem to be more of a chore or a plan b to get out of the house, but for Fyt Gym, this is where I want to go to be around friends and family. The reason why it feels like a second home is because the coaches that are there. And it's not just one or two of them, it's ALL of them. They are all welcoming, and truly care about you, your health and your well being. Not only will you look and feel great from the boxing, kickboxing and fyt classes, but you will also pick up some good friends on your journey. They say, you get what you put in at the gym and so far coaches Andrew, Johnny, Jess, Irene, Alex and the rest of the FYT family will get you where you want to be. I want to give a special shout out to coach JP. I signed my son up to the kid's class not too long after I joined and he loves it. You can tell JP enjoys teaching the kid's class. I joined the gym about 3 months ago and I love it. The classes are at convenient times, are all a great workout, and you learn a lot in the boxing and kick boxing classes. There is a mix of skill level from beginning to advanced and a pretty even mix of guys and girls. The attitude of the gym is the best - the coaches know your name and the other members are friendly and easy to get to know. I came in with basically no experience in boxing and have had a great time. It's been good to get into a routine and the format of the gym, which only holds classes and private sessions, is perfect for me. I am not as motivated to show up if there isn't a class, and it helps that when I go the coaches know me and I usually see regulars. read more
