I've bought several sets of tires here. I believe the prices have been competitive but the after service has been outstanding. I've had a couple of flat tires. Both due to builders nails!!! and Discount Tires has repaired the tires 'no question asked'! My OEM Michelins got nails in the back tires, causing me to get a new set to replace all 4 with Pirellis that the tire manager said were not only the equivalent to Manufacturers Michelin Primacy, but slighty better at 180 vs 230 (saving me $50 less per tire) The seller was my go-to online Tirerack, which is a sister company to Discount Tire, under the same corporate parent, which drop shipped them from IN... in 2 days. I was going to order from Costco to get the free install, but a 5-7 day delivery wait was NOT acceptable. Went shopping at Burlington on Roselle across the way while waiting for the tire install. I waited from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. just to have a tire with a warranty checked. They didn't even inspect it properly -- they just told me it couldn't be repaired and that I needed to buy a new one. They quoted me for four tires! I asked the mechanic again to please double-check, and it turned out the tire could be repaired. They only seem interested in selling you new tires instead of honoring the warranty. Then they couldn't even process a refund of over $200, and said they would mail me a check instead! Discount Tire Customer for more than 10 years. I went to make tire rotation for the tires I bought from the store. After waiting some times I was told by the rep that they cannot make a tire rotation because they found repair patch that was not theirs (it was done by my professional mechanic shop) and therefore they cannot do it. Unsafe. I have another repair patch one other tire made by them, and theirs is SAFE. In return I was offered two new tires to buy, I mean really?? The contract entitles you to get tire rotation for free and it was my discretion to do so. I will definitely look for other options for my next car tires needs. read more

This place ran by incompetent/dishonest front staff where their entire focus is to some how make you buy new tires and somehow get you into their shop. They are just bunch of scam artist running the front desk. Go to Pep Boys "or" any other shop but not this place. They are not an HONEST tire shop for sure. See other reviews below. So many people are complaining about the same thing that this location entire focus is to sell you tires not to fix anything. I think the front desk staff is on some kind of commission structure to sell tires "or" the owner of this franchise just want to mint as much as money as possible with us. 1. I called them first and asked if they can fix a run flat tire, they said "Yes". Not a problem this is what we do for living. I also asked them if they have new tire for future use "or" what if the repair may not be possible and they told me no and it has to be ordered but pretty confident they can fix it so at least I can use the car and not being stranded. 2. I drove to the shop, upon arrival the guy went out checked the tire in pitch darkness and came back in and said, "the tire is warm so he can not fix it". What The Hell. Off course a flat run tire will be warm due to not having air in it and but it is designed to be used as long as you keep the speed below 40 miles and not to drive for more than 50 miles. We are talking about top quality Pirerlli run flat tire in a BMW. If you are in tire business, you should know that the run flat tire will be warm. its simple grade 10 math as the rim is putting pressure on the tire for not having air in it. 3. The front desk person constantly insisted on me purchasing a new tire. I was pissed for wasting my time, so I left the shop and went home. NO, I will never buy tires from this shop and ordered a new set from Tire rack and I am going to take it Pep boys or BMW when the time comes to change the tires. I ordered a Run flat repair kit from amazon for $12.00 dollars and next day took me 5 minutes to fix the tire and the tire is good to go. Thanks for wasting customers time and making them frustrated. I used to sent 6 of our company vehicles to this shop for tire jobs (where we knew it was time for new tires) BUT NOT ANYMORE. Came in for a free rotation and was instantly upsold saying I need to replace my tires. My tires I purchased from the same location are 2 years old with less than 35k miles on them. The tires were measured at 4 and 5/32nds and they made it seem like my tires wouldn't last a week. They begrudgingly finally agreed to just do the rotation but installed that sense of my tires are bad. Be careful when going here and always ask for proof. read more

I have purchased tires here for several vehicles over the years and the staff has always been kind and helpful. Today I got my first flat tire ever and after my husband coming to rescue me and putting the spare tire on..I drove right over to this location. They set up an appointment for later in the day when they slowed down, which was perfect. My appointment was at 3:30pm and by 1:30pm they called to tell me if I wanted to come earlier to come on by because the staff was cracking through their jobs. I went over and they no only the flat tire but also put the spare tire back underneath my truck for me. I could not be more pleased with how I was treated as well as how efficient and kind the entire staff was!! A lot of businesses should take some lessons from these guys on how to run a business and treat customers. I will continue to be a customer here! read more

Not only did they have exactly what I wanted in stock, they fit me in and took care of me right then. Took less than an hour, freed up my Saturday. Do not elect for the financing without reading this first!! To preface the associate that I worked with was professional and friendly. That's about where the good ends. I had come in to get a patch put on my tire, come to find out the tread is too low for them to patch it and it needs replacement. Okay no problem I let the issue go longer than I should and was already suspecting id need to replace at least the one affected tire. So I start talking to them about financing and was speaking to either the owner of the location or the main manager. I don't remember off the top of my head but he said he was "just helping out today". So we start discussing financing and he offers to get me qualified with a "super soft credit check, it won't even affect your credit". This turned out to be lie number one. It is a hard credit pull that credit karma chase credit monitoring and capital one credit monitoring all picked up immediately as a hard inquiry. And when I say immediately, I mean I was mid sentence with the rep about being denied when I got the notifications of a hard pull being added to my credit report. As mentioned they had told me I was denied which was lie number two. There is now an open account linked to synchrony (the financing company disc. Tire uses) for dstr(disc. Tire) on the date I was in store for the amount initially requested for financing. I don't necessarily think this was fraudulent I think it was just lack of knowledge on the associates part but still. Do not trust them with your credit or at the very least do it knowing what the risk to your credit is. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. I took My car in today to get new tires mounted and balanced. $156 and I get huge paint chips in my wheels and on my brake caliper. Complete rush job, clearly no caution was taken with my vehicle and after they hacked my wheels, the wheel was thrown back on and missed the wheel studs resulting in the wheel hitting and chipping my brake caliper. Unbelievable the complete disregard for other people's property and the lack of attention to detail and quality on their part. I paid $156 for my vehicle to be damaged. read more

I was in a rush because I had appointments and lots of things to do but they were able to install 4 brand new tires in less than 35 minutes. But... lately they are more intent on selling you new tires than servicing the ones you bought. When your tires start to show a little wear they start with a hard sell to buy new ones, eventually refusing to rotate them citing "safety concerns". There's a good chance It's B.S. They have an easy online appointment booking system which is super convenient to see which of their locations have the soonest appointment. Service at all their locations have been great and they try to accommodate you and your schedule no matter what. I'll never go anywhere else to get new tires or repairs. I bought a brand new 2020 vehicle and my dealer said it won't cost less than $40 to patch a nail that was in my tire... Recently been in the process of modding my new Si and I was in need of some new tires to match the uptick in horsepower. I decided to swap out the OEM all season for the Pirelli P-Zero. I have dealt with Discount Tires on a few other occasions, including this location, and the service has always been on point. Par for the course on this visit as well. I did my initial shopping online, and prices here were cheaper than my other go to source, Tire Rack. Also an unexpected bonus was the fact that my local Discount Tire even had the tire I wanted in stock. This was an awesome surprise, as the P-Zero nearly always has to be ordered. My guess is somebody else ordered them and then never showed up for the install. Worked out nicely for me. So I went from online order to showing up and having my instal in a span of only a few hours. My previous experience with Discount Tire has been rapid service, so I decided to just swing by during my lunch break from work. This turned out to be more than adequate. They had my ride outfitted and had me out the door in about 30 min. Mounting and balancing work was also on point. No floaty feeling at speed and the car feels tight as a drum around corners. If you buy tires from Discount Tires, the great thing about it is they do free rotations and free checks. They actually put my tire back on that somehow had come off at no charge. It was awesome! They do pressure you to buy new tires...every time....warning that the tread is dangerously low. Not sure how that could happen in 18 months but I suppose it's possible. I only drive my car 2x a week, but....it could happen I guess. Ha! Anyways, so long as can say no when you feel you should, Discount Tires does have some low prices and generally good customer service. read more

Every Discount Tire I go to is great. This is my first time at Schaumburg. They go through my tires to see what I need and if there isn't a problem, they don't make one up! They got me in and out very quickly! That's always a plus!! Make an appointment before you go. You don't have to, but it's easier because you eat out as priority than waiting customers. Also if you purchased DT tires, rotation for the life of the tires is free! This is why I always come back! A month ago I went in for service and noticed rips in my steering wheel when I picked up my car. Photos were taken by the staff and I was told that a claim would be submitted. I was told I should receive a follow up phone call regarding the claim and no other information was given to me at the time. I had to come back to have the tire service completed and followed up on the claim. I was given 866-608-9802 in which I've left four voicemail messages since the incident with no call back. I visited the Schaumburg, IL Discount Tire location again on 7/9 to ask about the claim and find out the status. They then gave me a different phone number to call without any claim number or additional information. I called 480-606-6927 and left a message for Jim who I spoke to later that day. He asked for my claim number but I told him that no claim number was provided to me. He also did not find any claim submitted under my name or phone number. Today, I called the Schaumburg location again to ask for the claim number. I spoke with Brian, who told me that there isn't a claim number provided when they submit a claim and that my phone number is what Jim needs. I mentioned that I provided my phone number and name already but no claim was found. I've just left a message again for Jim to ask for assistance. I've been an advocate for Discount Tire for years and always spoke highly of the business and their friendly service. Even when something went wrong they've handled it in a prompt and professional way however over the past couple of years the service has noticeably declined. I switched to the Schaumburg location several years prior due to a decline in service at another Discount Tire store. Unfortunately, I feel like I'm getting the run around and needless to say it has been frustrating. This continue to exemplify the poor service that I've been receiving. My husband went in to get 3 new tires. He already had got one last July 2022 from the store in Lombard from Cole on Roosevelt who put in the system all the information needed when he returned to any Discount to get the remaining tires. Chris at this Schaumburg location tried to charge him twice as much for the tires after he explained and he would not change it. My husband left and went back to Lombard where they honored what they had in the system. Chris told him it would be dangerous to drive and he was giving him a deal, that was a lie. It's a shame that this location and the one in Algonquin on Algonquin Rd have similar people working there who sho favoritism to white people and black people. We all bleed the same idiots. Update to my last review. When I had new tires put on less than a year ago, they broke 2 of my TPMS sensors. I had to pay over 120 bucks for 2 new sensors. Never had broken sensors, or, sensor issues in the past (on any of my vehicles, which I had never taken here). Now, my TPMS light is on (not the one for low tire pressure; but, the one for TPMS error)... Cool... Down to 1 star. read more

I arrived at 7:55am for my 8am appointment and they took me promptly. The employees there are extremely friendly and thorough. I was in and out in less than 30 mins for a new set of tires. I went online to their website to price match my tires and a Discount Tires associate emailed me the next day saying they will price match to the cheaper price I found. The store also received my tires I ordered the next day after calling them to make an appointment. Everything is very efficient. I must also compliment them on their safety protocols in the COVID era. This is by far the cleanest, most cautious environment I've been in since the pandemic. I've bought tires from Discount Tire, and it doesn't really matter which location you go to. They are all about the same set-up and service is about the same. What I like about Discount Tire is that if you have service or buy tires at one location, you can then go to any location for service. So, I had my tires put on at the Naperville location, and recently moved to the Schaumburg area. I was due for a balance and rotation, so I came here to the Schaumburg location. Didn't need an appointment. In and out in about an hour. They even fixed a screw that was stuck in my tire for free. I didn't know the screw was even stuck there. read more
