Our house had ducts already installed, though the distribution of air was not balanced - some rooms got uncomfortably warm than others. - How was your experience with the initial inspection process? Amongst many other contractors, I found Maddie from Premier Eco Builders very genuine and honest about what needs to be done. He also did not try to oversell me things just to increase the quote. I never felt the push to add something I did not want. Maddie also helped address the specific problems that I was encountering with the existing system. - How did the team handle scheduling? The team started the work on time. The proposed timeline was 2 days of work. However, due to unforseen problems in the old system, it took a day longer. Maddie's team could have cut corners and sacrificed quality to still finish the job in 2 days. But they chose to do quality work. They even fixed issues that were not part of the contract to maintain the quality of the final system. - How did everything turn out after the installation? The system worked well. However, there were still some adjustments to be made. Maddie made sure to fix these issues as well over the coming weeks. His team came over on a weekend to fix all issues and answer all final questions of no charge. This project was unusually complex and took nearly four months to complete. The process involved rodent exclusion, removal of decades of accumulated insulation, asbestos abatement, attic sanitization, installation of new ductwork, and finally new insulation. Throughout every stage, Ahmad remained involved, checking in regularly and making sure everything was progressing. A special thank you to Dave and Eddie, who removed the old insulation and installed the new material. What appeared to be a straightforward job of insulation removal, turned out to involve three layers of different insulation materials dating back to the 1950s. Despite the unexpected workload and physical demands, they never complained. They remained cheerful, professional, respectful, and hardworking throughout the entire process. As a senior citizen who carefully researches major home repairs, I greatly appreciated Ahmad's patience in answering my many questions. We had no idea when it was last serviced or if it had ever been serviced at all. Henry gave us a very fair and competitive price for a tune up. Upon Henry's arrival, he was friendly and professional. He opened the furnace and showed us the burner. He explained it was in great condition considering the age of the unit and it didn't need servicing; although, he did clean up around a few areas around the burner. The blower motor was slightly wobbly, and once again, he explained it was still in good shape considering its age. He proceeded to the back patio where the condenser was located. He noted the unit was very old and that particular Freon is no longer available for servicing; however, he stated the unit did not need to be replaced just yet as long as it's blowing cold. Henry indicated despite our units being way past their anticipated life expectancy, they were clean and blowing hot & cold just fine. Therefore, no servicing was recommended and he did not charge us anything. We are impressed not only by Henry's friendliness and professionalism, but also by his transparency and integrity. Many other companies would have hopped on the opportunity to upsell the service or even sway us to replace our system right away, but Henry gave us peace of mind to give us time and to save up for an inevitable replacement in the future with Therma Tech.
