Also, the work he did in the past was a bit destructive. When he moved our washer and dryer connection from the garage to inside the house, he made the original pipe unusable. We only found out about this now because we wanted to convert the garage into a living space to have another washer dryer connection. As a result of the way the work was done, the conversion we hope to perform will be significantly more expensive. Perhaps there is a reason to damage an unused main pipe, though I can't think of one.
