Crab Mac and Cheese - Huge, creamy, delicious!
    Jason S.

Wonderful date night meal. We had no plan, ventured into Medford and took a shot at getting a table and got lucky. Food was fantastic, service was great. If you haven't been there before it's a pretty cool vibe, old house converted into a restaurant. We sat upstairs with a view out onto main street. I had a hazy ipa, we split the meatballs as an app; excellent. Wife went with the crab Mac and Cheese, which was enough for 3 people! It was so creamy, rich, and filled with crab meat. So good. I had the Halibut special over wild rice, bok choy, with a miso broth and Serrano chilies. It was amazing. Haven't been here in years, but already looking forward to heading back soon. Check them out if you're in the area.

There were more flies than this at one time.

The only consolation to my date with my wife here was that our waitress Nikki was friendly and helpful. The food was ok but not worth at all the price paid. The egg rolls came old cold. Our table was outside but near a window and people inside were sitting on the windowsill and the view wasn't good lol. Also, there were tons of flies by our table buzzing around and landing on our food. I definitely won't be going back.

    CAESAR SALAD CHEESESTEAK SPRING ROLLS

Overall decent atmosphere & service. Sat at the bar, the bartender was nice and she was busy so it took a little longer than we would have preferred. It's not her fault, but they should have more help (unless maybe it was a one off). Presentation of the food was good. I do wish the chicken wings were a bit more cooked internally. I picked at them, left half untouched. Cheesesteak egg rolls were pretty good though. My friends enjoyed the cocktails a lot. Prices were a bit higher than other places. I wouldn't go out of my way to return but wouldn't say it was awful either.

We went here last night for drinks and ended up getting food as well. We had always heard good things about Braddock's Tavern and were glad we visited. They had plenty of tables open and we were seated outside on the porch. The drinks were unique and delicious! The Mac and cheese was so good and had lots of cheese. We will be back again soon for food and drinks soon!

    CAESAR SALAD

It's fine. I got the saddest Caesar salad with salmon ever for $20+ tonight for dinner while there for my mom's birthday. We have been there a ton and even hosted my baby shower there, but it's really hit or miss.

Like always, Braddock's never disappoints! This may have been my 74th check-in at Braddock's Tavern however it was a night full of new experiences. We arrived a little after 6pm on a Friday and soon after we were able to get one seat at the bar (I stood until the seat next to my fiancé opened up which is typical for a Friday/Saturday night). My fiancé started with a classic espresso martini - one of the must order cocktails here. I will continue to say this as long as I live but, in my opinion Braddock's has the best bartenders around. The bar area is so cozy and dimly lit. I definitely prefer sitting in there as opposed to the dining rooms. It had been a few weeks since we'd been to Braddock's and we noticed their menu had been updated. Everything else we ordered were new menu items starting with my Manhattan with tobacco bitters and an orange peel garnish - it was smooth and delicious. As long as it stays on the menu I will be having one at each visit. We then decided to split 4 new appetizers which turned out to be a great decision. We ordered the Chicken Lemongrass Potstickers, Confit Artichokes, Short Rib Sliders, and the Chef's Flatbread which was a burrata flatbread with roasted tomatoes, asparagus tips, and balsamic drizzle. All four dishes were great. The potstickers were fried perfectly and had a subtle light, refreshing flavor that came through from the lemongrass. I'm not a big fan of sliders, but we figured these would be easy to share. The short rib was so tender and it was a tie between these and the artichokes for my favorite of the night. The artichokes were also very tender, but the leaves were perfectly crisp from the confit. As far as the flatbread, the ingredients worked so well together. I loved the roasted tomatoes and balsamic drizzle as they added such a nice sweetness. I would absolutely order each of these again. My fiancé finished off the night with a Pumpkin Espresso Martini with a perfectly drawn pumpkin on top courtesy of Grace. I chose to change it up and went with a lemon drop martini. Braddock's is our spot and will always be our spot. Each visit we have great food, professionally made cocktails, and are treated very well by all of the staff. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Stopped in for a meal and a drink. Restaurant is divided into two sides. The bar side, which is always hopping and always crowded. Not wanting to wait we went to the quiet side of the dining room. Dimmly lit, and a great relaxed atmosphere. Reminds me of my grandma's old home. Food is good and prices are decent. The onion soup was cheesy and delicious! The bread the sandwiches came on was super fresh and amazing as well. The homemade chips that come with the sandwiches are really good. And they make a pretty good espresso martini, I didn't know which flavor to have so I got the flight.

Classic espresso martini (they have decaf!)

It's so weird how yesterday was our first meal here ever since we don't live far away. But I kept hearing about their espresso martini flight so that's why we came. The espresso flight was fun. My filet sandwich was good. It was the perfect night to eat outdoors so I was glad they had outdoor seating there. The best part of our dinner though was our server. She was so kind and friendly- she was the reason why we hung out there longer as she sweetly encouraged us to order more drinks and desserts (even though we were full haha). Also I learned that they do decaf espresso martinis there which helped me to fall asleep at a decent hour last night. ;) Thanks for a great meal!

Came here last weekend for a girlfriend's brunch. I had never been here and we were seated upstairs: it's such a unique venue and we got a really nice secluded table by the fireplace Tried my first ever espresso martini: it was really smooth and had a great flavor. My friend had a mimosa and the omelette special: it looked very good. I got the avocado toast: might be my favorite in the area. Two large slices of sourdough, avocado, fried eggs, balsamic reduction, greens, and pickled onions. There may have been more but the pickled onions were such a good balance and the bread was SO good I was distracted. A really great brunch!

It was my first time here, and I went with some friends for a birthday lunch. The building is beautiful and so historic. It is great to see such places preserved! I went in December, and the holiday decorations were gorgeous. It definitely elevated the experience. We sat on the covered balcony, overlooking Medford's charming Main Street. The service was friendly, and the food was tasty. The experience and warm ambience make it well worth the visit. However, be prepared, as it is pricey. We paid almost $200 for a lunch (including alcohol for 3) for 4.

My family and I, party of 9 including 2 children, 2 and 6, just celebrated Easter 2025 at Braddock's Tavern. We opted for the Easter Brunch which included a buffet, balloon artist and the Easter Bunny walking around taking pictures with guests. It was better than expected. The food was very good. I am not normally a buffet eater, but they did a really nice job. They served an au gratin type of potatoes that were little individual servings. They looked so delicious but when I tasted it, it was cold. I told our server, and she came back within several minutes to say they were removed from the buffet and replaced with hot ones. That was such great service and handled perfectly. I have to say that really impressed me. They had such a good variety of food, something for everyone. I am a scone and clotted cream addict. Well, they had 3 types of homemade scones and homemade clotted cream. I wish I could have taken some home as both were amazing!!!!!! They also had a bacon bar with I believe 3 types of bacon, regular thick bacon, one with hot honey and one with brown sugar. The ham was so good. My son and husband both had 2 servings of the chicken and waffles and said that it was so delicious. They infused the waffles with syrup:)))) They did not rush you at all in between seatings which was awesome as we came from different towns and got to spend some nice family time together. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, I can't say enough. Some young servers do not always have the best additudes, but everyone was pleasant. We normally go to a different restaurant each Easter however we all discussed it afterward and decided that next year we will most likely make reservations at Braddock's for their Easter Brunch. I highly recommend the restaurant, and I can't wait to go back and eat at one of their outdoor tables.

    crab stuffed mushroom crab bisque

Very disappointed in our visit to Braddocks tonight. We have been there many times before and have always been pleased with the food and service. We wanted to try the resturant week menu and, knowing it would be busy, called before coming to make sure there were available tables as we did not have a reservation. The hostess we spoke to on the phone let us know there would be about a thirty minute wait for outdoor seating and the earlier we arrived the better. We arrived at the resturant approximately 15 minutes after the call. Upon reaching the hostess stand, we were met by an incredibly disrespectful host. He was dismissive and rude and told us there were absolutely no available tables all night and we could sit in the bar if we wanted. We went to the bar and were informed there was no restaurant week menu offered in the bar area. Thankfully, a very nice and accommodating hostess was able to give us an available table so we could get the special menu we had hoped for. Throughout our two hour visit, there were multiple tables open inside and outside. For appetizers, we had the crab bisque and crab stuffed mushroom. Both lacked flavor. The pork chop and steak diane were also bland and needed salt. The best part of the meal was the ricotta dessert, which was good but still lackluster. There were also flies swarming around our table the entire time even though we were seated inside. While the wonderful waitress and hostess saved the experience, the condescending attitude we were met with upon arrival definitely put a damper on things.

But the service that is amazing and all the smiling staff here make up for anything that I don't see on the menu. The place is really well put together and is a very handsome bar it's mostly very wooden and heavy duty. The ambience is something for everyone on the TV or you can just chitchat. They even have this little side room that is nice but beware and bring a coat or a sweater cause it does get chilly in there. They're always seems like a really great group of people there and our favorite waitress is KB/Kristen. She is truly amazing and very attentive, but not annoying. We love their chicken fajitas and steak fajitas, the Cheesesteaks are delish! But My Newest Favorite for the Moment..... is the "We Jammin Burger". It has bacon onion Jam on it and it is amazing! I didn't think that I would like it as Much as I do! But I Realllllllly Do! I'm not really a burger fan... like my husband Is, But THIS BURGER..... has been a Game changer for Me. Warning: Make room in your fridge... because You will definitely bring leftovers home. This meal can feed a family of 4 Easily!! Their Cajun quesadilla is delicious and it does have a nice little zing. Their traditional wings are amazing and their beef stew is delicious and very hearty. We have tried many of their specialties. The Hail Mary is a delicious Caesar salad on top of chicken cutlets and their Broccoli Chicken Cheesesteak is amazing. I recommend you get it pressed on the grill and that way it won't fall out as you bite each delicious bite. I would say 80 to 90% of the visits that we have had at this amazing establishment. We always bring home leftovers. So be aware that you were going to have lunch for tomorrow. You will get to the point where you will just think of something to eat that they have on their menu and your mouth will just start to drool. We definitely recommend going. I'm not a huge drinker so I really can't say much as for their drinks but everyone there seems very happy and the portions are huge. I definitely say try it, what's the worst that happens you have leftovers for the next day or two lol It is my husband and my favorite new place that's been around forever Hey, maybe we'll see you there

The portion sizes were generous; both my burger and the Cheesesteak Deluxe were large enough that we brought leftovers home from both entrées. Cons: Unfortunately, the drinks were not good. I ordered a Downeast Cider on tap and it tasted like the line may not have been cleaned recently. My companion ordered a cosmopolitan that was essentially undrinkable--extremely strong and not well balanced. We later learned the bartender is new, so hopefully that improves with experience. The wings were also served cold, and the Jammin' burger came out without the bacon jam that's supposed to be a key part of the dish. The restaurant itself is also very tight quarters. If you prefer more personal space or feel more comfortable in places where it's easy to move around or exit quickly, this may not be the best spot for you. Overall: The staff was very attentive and clearly tried to make things right after several mistakes occurred. They comped our soda, appetizer, and dessert, which we appreciated. However, given the number of issues during one visit, I'm not sure we'd return.

What they do offer is a nice place to hang out in an old historic building right on the Main Street in the downtown area, and a solid lineup of beers. One thing that makes them stand out is a great selection of beers on nitro. From my experience with NJ breweries, you're lucky to find a single beer on nitro. At Village Idiot there are seven of them, most of them dessert stouts like a cookie butter white stout and a salted caramel milk stout. All that we tried were delicious and not crazy high in ABV like other dessert stouts. Flights are only $10 which is pretty cheap compared to other NJ breweries. Of note is that as of November 2025 they no longer allow outside drinks including water bottles like Nalgenes and Stanley Cups. Too many idiots sneaking in alcohol, according to their social media. Overall it has a bit more of a dive bar vibe only frequented by locals rather than a traditional NJ brewery, but the beer is definitely good enough, and the surrounding Main Street charming and quaint enough that I would definitely return.
