After speaking with them multiple times with various questions, I was left with a feeling of assurance that I was in good hands. Being a first time landlord, I have no experience in knowing how to screen tenants, knowing the rules, etc., especially when my background is not in the real estate and rental business. Having a busy work schedule also means that I won't likely be able to attend to the tenant's needs in a timely manner. This is where Good Life fills in the gaps for me. The team at Good Life during the onboarding process has been super helpful and efficient in getting the property ready, whereas it would've taken me ages in trying to do it myself. I was assigned Andrei as my property manager and it's been a great start. He has been open, transparent, professional, and great to work with since the start. I recently had an online shopping shipment mis-delivered to my rental property, to which Andrei was instrumental in helping to coordinate the handoff between the tenant and me. Even though Andrei is my primary contact, I can see that they have great teamwork. On one weekend, I had a question to which I received an out-of-office note from him. But rest assured, another team member stepped in that day during his time off to help with my question. Good Life also has a great online portal for me to see all the documents and tax information. Very friendly and always follows up with our questions/requests. We've had a few repairs that our tenants needed. Chi (Maintenance coordinator) handled them smoothly and kept me informed. Again, great communication. Love the financial summary (and receipt) at end of year for our tax accountant. Documents are nicely arranged on the owner web portal. Love it. And...always like Steve's informative emails and YT videos on regulations and tips.

However, one area I think Ziprent could improve on is accommodating owners with keyless entry doors. Since my front door uses a code instead of a physical key, I had to be present for every showing, walkthrough, and related appointment. As a property owner paying for professional management, this isn't an ideal experience. I would have appreciated a solution or recommendation from Ziprent to address this issue so I didn't have to manage it myself. With three kids, two rentals, and a recent move into a new home, it would have been a huge relief to have a more hands-off experience. While this was an inconvenience, I'm still very happy with Ziprent's service overall and hope that by the time my tenants' lease is up, they'll have a better process in place for handling keyless entry doors.
