I love a local gift shop, but Bradley's is so much more than that! What started as a chocolate shop in 1995 has expanded into a local hub for Knoxville gifts, as well as jewelry, home decor, stationary, candles, baby goods/gifts, and an in-house chocolatier. They even create beautiful gift baskets for any possible special occasion. This is the type of spot I could spend hours in with a smile on my face, although they do have a user-friendly website that allows you to shop and order online with the option of both shipping or store pickup, too. While I could have purchased the entire store and died happy, I opted for chocolate this time around. After watching chocolate being made next door (glass windows inside the store that look into the "chocolate factory" area), I knew I needed to try the dark chocolate STAT! The workers behind the counter were so darn sweet (pun intended) and helpful. They offered samples galore and recommendations when asked. I ended up ordering dark chocolate caramels, nonpareil dots, peanut butter melts, and turtles. Everything was incredible, but my husband and I have been dreaming about the dark chocolate caramels (the round, gooey version...we didn't try the chewy caramels yet). I grew up obsessed with Sno-Caps candy, and their Dark Chocolate Dots are heavenly. The chocolate is just such good quality, better than any other chocolate shop I've tried thus far. What an excellent chocolatier. This store makes wonderful chocolate confections; among my favorites are the dark chocolate covered Oreo's, and the creamy caramel dark chocolate drops. They have wonderful chocolate confections throughout the year and celebrate special holidays with special designs and creations; like chocolate Easter bunnies, Santa Claus', flags, turkeys, etc. the store also has dish clothes with sayings on them and other decorating ideas. read more

The employees and owners are some of the most kind people I have ever met. There is a wide variety of candy, chocolates, jewelry, candles, clothing, tea towels (my favorite), home decor, and Knoxville/TN themed merchandise. I promise it is worth the stop. We received a gift basket filled with Bradley's goodies. Everything was delicious! I think my favorite was the Sweet Home Granola with dark chocolate. It's like brûléed granola--sweet but so good! I am stunned. I'm not sure if my bad review had anything to do with it, but I need to update my last review. After I panicked and went back and forth across town, scrambling to get my mother-in-law another gift for Mother's Day, I received an email from the owner that very same afternoon. Not only did they still not charge me for the item I had wanted sent, he apologized for the miscommunication and overnighted the item at no cost! Wow. I waited a few days to update my post, because I wanted to make sure the item arrived as it should; my mother-in-law was not home the day the overnighted package was due to arrive (which is why it was supposed to be delivered the day before) but I made sure someone was there to get the box inside the house. Now my mother-in-law got two gifts (which she deserves, because she is fabulous). Well done, Bradley's. Now that is what customer recovery looks like. You have re-instilled my faith in your company. The customer service at this business is HORRIABLE!!!! Items ordered in advance were not there when promised and the Blonde hair lady was one of the most RUDE individuals I have ever dealt with and because of her I will never go back and will share my horrible experience with as many as possible. I purchased items for my wife's surprise 50th birthday party and the one largest item was not in stock and I was assured that I would be able to pick it up in a week and when I arrived a week after ordering the item was not there and advised me that I could drive across town to pick it up or come back in several hours to pick up despite my timeframe I was not able to get the item ordered and was treated very poorly by the Blonde hair employee who blamed it on everyone else instead of taking responsibility and she even went as far as giving myself and family very mean facial expressions.
