Always busy when I am there. Had the breakfast special and it was delicious! Big portions at a fair price, you really can't go wrong with this place. Food is pumped out fast. I'll say that if I have my choice of places to eat lunch in North Topeka, Bradley's would be number 1. They have great Breakfast and their Lunch Menu is nothing but one comfort food after the next. Visited Bradley's this Sunday morning at 10:15. No wait for a table, walked right in and sat down. I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy and a cinnamon roll . Husband had the biscuits and gravy special with eggs over medium. Sausage in the gravy was way undercooked and soggy as were the biscuits. Husbands eggs tasted as if they had gone bad so they went uneaten. Cinnamon roll was acceptable and quite large, although it was nothing to write home about. It sure didn't taste like anything my grandmother would make; perhaps the local Dillons bakery, but not grandma. The bathroom floor was slippery with something- maybe grease or too much soap? The restaurant is located in a cool area of town, and they had outdoor seating, but even though it was a gorgeous morning outside they were not seating folks outside. Bummer. read more

My wife has gone here a few times for lunch and she said it was awesome. So we decided that we would go down there on fathers day. I can not say I was a fan of the staff. They where short and seemed to want to be anywhere but work but I guess that is to be expected from high school kids. Our waitress was okay. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast , my wife had the taco omelette and my son had the french toast. Not on of us was able to finish our food. It was not good enough to even take home with us. To make my fathers day even better I spent the rest of the day with an upset stomach. I do not think I will be headed down there again. I really do feel bad leaving a poor review when almost every one else has had good things to say but I must have been down there on a bad day I guess. read more

This is the type of place that is hard to find outside of a small town. A locally owned diner that makes almost everything from scratch. They are probably best known for their breakfasts. They are famous for their homemade pies and cinnamon rolls. Their lunch and dinner menu is great diner fare. Their biscuits and gravy are probably the best in town. Their hamburger buns are baked in-house. Their fries are made from scratch. If you are really hungry at breakfast, their chicken fried steak is an excellent choice. They have daily specials that vary on some days, though Tuesdays are bone-in, pan fried, chicken and Wednesdays are meatloaf. Friday's special is usually salmon patties. Located in what's now called the NOTO arts district, you will see a wide range of patrons depending on the time of day. I think that is a testament to the quality of the food and service. One criticism is their limited seating. You might want to get there early for breakfast or lunch as they can fill up fast. There is not much room to wait for a table, either. As the day goes by, they run out of their cinnamon rolls and some flavors of pie, so that would be another reason to get there a little early. They do sell whole pies, but require a 24-hour advance notice. read more

If you are looking for an old fashioned menu then look no further than Bradley's Corner Cafe. The waitress always has a pot of coffee in her hand and a huge smile for any customer that enters the place. On this date we had breakfast which consisted of eggs (over medium), bacon (limp-explained by the waitress that was what I was to ask for when I described how I wanted my bacon!!) and hash browns. All were cooked to perfection and I hardly had time to read the front page of the TCJ before the plate was placed in front of me. My drinks were never empty and the only complaint was the coffee was a little burnt. They also make homemade pies to order or have some on tap during business hours. I have had a couple of different pieces and all have been orgasmic. Call in about 24hrs to have whole pies made to order!!! Overall the atmosphere is old fashioned and so is the decor, but totally worth the trip down to old Kansas Avenue to check this place out!!! Just had an amazing breakfast burrito served up with perfect home fries. The coffee is hot and the space is cozy.

Found out this morning my boss would be in the office today so I am scrambling to get her a boss' day. Her assistant advised she loves the pies at Bradley's Corner Cafe in Topeka Kansas. I drove from Kansas City to get this pie. The lady at the counter states the manager prefers you order a day ahead for pies. Uh ok, are you saying I cannot buy this pie today. I explained what it was for and the lady just stated sorry. Are you kidding me! Where did she learn about customer service. I had to walk outside a minute to keep me from sayng something very wrong. I came back in and just box me up a bunch of slices then. So I paid $5 more than I would for a whole pie! Had it not been for my boss I wouldn't have given then a dime. I will never be back again and I have told my whole office about what happened. Everybody is shocked. read more

I've known Brad since he had his place on Fairlawn in the 80's. You get a lot of good food for a reasonable price. Almost everything is homemade, including the fantastic pies. You really can't go wrong in this diner. read more

I will happily drive across town, past all of the chain restaurants, to have a chicken fried chicken dinner and peanut butter pecan pie at Bradley's.
