I absolutely love this restaurant in Boothbay Harbor. Very nice seats looking over the bay and the food is extremely affordable and the staff is great. Very cozy but casual.

Looking for a Cheers kind of place, this is it! So many delicious options to choose from on their menu, great portions for a great price!

Nice views on the water. Super welcoming to our pups with beds and water. Delicious steak salad- vegetables tasted very fresh- a welcome relief after too many lobsta rolls!

A friend of mine and our daughters spent Mother's Day weekend in Maine and had a great time. Came to Bradys on a whim and we loved it. Atmosphere was nice, service was good and the food was great as well. We will definitely be returning.

Food was delicious, staff were outstanding, view was beautiful. Also probably the most dog friendly restaurant I have ever been to.

We tried Brady's when in the area for Gardens Aglow. This was a nice pub/restaurant with some pros and cons. We had several items including the burger, fish & chips, French dip sandwich, and shrimp tacos. They all came with fries and coleslaw. The fries have a special seasoning, which was good. Not overly spicy. The coleslaw had zero flavor and the ones at our table did not seem to have any dressing or spice - which was needed. I suggest switching out fries for onions rings, which were amazing! They are homemade and on the thinner side, which we liked. I had the beer cheese with my fries, which again, lacked flavor and was ok. The burger was enjoyed, but nothing outstanding. I had the fish, which was one of the better entrees. It was an entire filet and huge! Fresh and flaky haddock in a good batter with homemade tartar sauce. The winner of the night was the French dip recommended by our server. They use prime rib cooked there. Au jus on point. Only thing I would change was it was on thick white bread instead of a roll, which I felt would have held up better and not made it soggy after dipping. Bottom line, everything was good, fresh, and seemed much was homemade. I felt that flavor and spice was lacking in a lot of it though and could have been notched up some. If I could give 3.5 I would, but alas... Prices were reasonable.

This review is only about the experience and beer, because we had no food on this stop. Our first day in Boothbay and exploring the area. Brady's was at the top of Boothbay Harbor, so we stopped in for a beer and a view. We were seated in the bar area, near the water. The bar area is huge and has a long bar and lots of tables. Our server was Sam and she was terrific! We just wanted a couple of beers and she recommended the Thirsty Botanist (a local craft beer). Great beer - get one if you like a good IPA! We really enjoyed just taking in the harbor view and enjoying great conversation with Sam and some of our table 'neighbors'. While I can't personally comment on the food, we saw the fish and chips come out near us and it looked amazing. If you're looking for a great bar, with terrific views and a fun vibe. Stop by Brady's, it won't disappoint!

Hot Lobster Roll and a sangria was delicious. Parking was difficult but service was kind and quick. It was nice to eat outside with the rain and great music playing.

They not only allow dogs here at Brady's - they welcome them! Whenever my dog and I come here, we are met with smiles and a fresh bowl of water for her. They have the best Happy Hour menu, too! $5 apps, which are yummy! 1/2 price beers, $5 house wines and well drinks. Excellent and genuinely friendly customer service, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere makes Brady's one of my (and my dog's) favorite spots in Boothbay Harbor!

Lobster roll -- can get cheaper down by the water, but it was good.

Incredible service. Good food. Outdoor area looked amazing, but it was chilly when we went. They had live music the next day.

Terrible food, stale and sour. Still charged, barely got an acknowledgment over it. The wait staff have no idea what they are doing.

The haddock sandwich had about two bites of fish. The bun was soaked in butter to the point of being disgusting. It was simply not good.

I was born and raised in Maine and come back a couple times a year to see my mom here in Brunswick…read more I hadn't been yet to the Ram and Bull which took over a previous restaurant spot, and decided to give it a try based on the fact that one of their weekly specials was lobster stew. Let me be clear, I am typically disappointed over and over by the lobster stew I have in Maine. In my mind, it should be classic, with milk, butter, Sherry, and lobster meat. I've been searching for this version from my childhood for the past 30+ years and I finally found it here. Have they added a tiny garnish of rosemary to the top? Yes. Does it make me angry or detract from the sweet perfect flavors of the stew? No. And the lobster meat in the stew was tender, as it should be, rather than having simmered way too long and being tough and chewy. Their crabcakes also were nice and generous, although I don't love the spicy remoulade (I feel it's too strong for delicate crab flavor) and the texture was a bit soft for me. I'm looking forward to being back during my stay and trying more items from the menu! Oh, and don't sleep on the service here, it was excellent. From several people asking me how my meal was or just saying hello, to the amazing Travis behind the bar with his big fabulous personality. Yay!

It had that classic old timey tavern look, with lots of dark polished wood, and their menu, featuring comfort/pub fare, was in keeping with the ambiance. I had their crab cakes, which weren't too bready or greasy and came with a tasty spicy creamy sauce. I also had a cup of their tomato soup, which had tiny grilled cheese sandwich bites on a skewer perched on the bowl--such a fun idea! Accompanied by a glass of crisp chenin blanc, it was an awesome lunch. The hubby enjoyed his beet Reuben, which isn't something you see on a lot of menus. Our friend had the chicken pot pie, which he thought was just so-so. He liked the puff pastry crust but the filling didn't quite do it for him. Our server was friendly and funny and we had a great time overall.

Service at Home Kitchen is warm and welcoming, and you're in for a treat if you're lucky enough to sit in Zan's area (short for Suzanne). I couldn't decide between a tuna sandwich or a grilled cheese, and she suggested combining both into a tuna melt. Brilliant! Along with a shared order of large fries, it was a tasty and filling lunch. The best part? All of it was gluten free! Home Kitchen bakes their own GF bread and pastries, and they are far superior to grocery-store GF baked goods. Even though we were sated from lunch, Zan encouraged us to order dessert, since they had a GF chocolate cupcake with salted caramel frosting. On her recommendation, we got two cupcakes to go - a GF chocolate cupcake for me, and a pumpkin cupcake with maple cream cheese frosting for my friend -- which we enjoyed later in the day from the comforts of home. Wow. Super delicious. More please!
