I absolutely love this restaurant in Boothbay Harbor. Very nice seats looking over the bay and the food is extremely affordable and the staff is great. Very cozy but casual.

Looking for a Cheers kind of place, this is it! So many delicious options to choose from on their menu, great portions for a great price!

Nice views on the water. Super welcoming to our pups with beds and water. Delicious steak salad- vegetables tasted very fresh- a welcome relief after too many lobsta rolls!

A friend of mine and our daughters spent Mother's Day weekend in Maine and had a great time. Came to Bradys on a whim and we loved it. Atmosphere was nice, service was good and the food was great as well. We will definitely be returning.

We tried Brady's when in the area for Gardens Aglow. This was a nice pub/restaurant with some pros and cons. We had several items including the burger, fish & chips, French dip sandwich, and shrimp tacos. They all came with fries and coleslaw. The fries have a special seasoning, which was good. Not overly spicy. The coleslaw had zero flavor and the ones at our table did not seem to have any dressing or spice - which was needed. I suggest switching out fries for onions rings, which were amazing! They are homemade and on the thinner side, which we liked. I had the beer cheese with my fries, which again, lacked flavor and was ok. The burger was enjoyed, but nothing outstanding. I had the fish, which was one of the better entrees. It was an entire filet and huge! Fresh and flaky haddock in a good batter with homemade tartar sauce. The winner of the night was the French dip recommended by our server. They use prime rib cooked there. Au jus on point. Only thing I would change was it was on thick white bread instead of a roll, which I felt would have held up better and not made it soggy after dipping. Bottom line, everything was good, fresh, and seemed much was homemade. I felt that flavor and spice was lacking in a lot of it though and could have been notched up some. If I could give 3.5 I would, but alas... Prices were reasonable.

Food was delicious, staff were outstanding, view was beautiful. Also probably the most dog friendly restaurant I have ever been to.

This review is only about the experience and beer, because we had no food on this stop. Our first day in Boothbay and exploring the area. Brady's was at the top of Boothbay Harbor, so we stopped in for a beer and a view. We were seated in the bar area, near the water. The bar area is huge and has a long bar and lots of tables. Our server was Sam and she was terrific! We just wanted a couple of beers and she recommended the Thirsty Botanist (a local craft beer). Great beer - get one if you like a good IPA! We really enjoyed just taking in the harbor view and enjoying great conversation with Sam and some of our table 'neighbors'. While I can't personally comment on the food, we saw the fish and chips come out near us and it looked amazing. If you're looking for a great bar, with terrific views and a fun vibe. Stop by Brady's, it won't disappoint!

Hot Lobster Roll and a sangria was delicious. Parking was difficult but service was kind and quick. It was nice to eat outside with the rain and great music playing.

They not only allow dogs here at Brady's - they welcome them! Whenever my dog and I come here, we are met with smiles and a fresh bowl of water for her. They have the best Happy Hour menu, too! $5 apps, which are yummy! 1/2 price beers, $5 house wines and well drinks. Excellent and genuinely friendly customer service, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere makes Brady's one of my (and my dog's) favorite spots in Boothbay Harbor!

Lobster roll -- can get cheaper down by the water, but it was good.

The haddock sandwich had about two bites of fish. The bun was soaked in butter to the point of being disgusting. It was simply not good.

I was born and raised in Maine and come back a couple times a year to see my mom here in Brunswick…read more I hadn't been yet to the Ram and Bull which took over a previous restaurant spot, and decided to give it a try based on the fact that one of their weekly specials was lobster stew. Let me be clear, I am typically disappointed over and over by the lobster stew I have in Maine. In my mind, it should be classic, with milk, butter, Sherry, and lobster meat. I've been searching for this version from my childhood for the past 30+ years and I finally found it here. Have they added a tiny garnish of rosemary to the top? Yes. Does it make me angry or detract from the sweet perfect flavors of the stew? No. And the lobster meat in the stew was tender, as it should be, rather than having simmered way too long and being tough and chewy. Their crabcakes also were nice and generous, although I don't love the spicy remoulade (I feel it's too strong for delicate crab flavor) and the texture was a bit soft for me. I'm looking forward to being back during my stay and trying more items from the menu! Oh, and don't sleep on the service here, it was excellent. From several people asking me how my meal was or just saying hello, to the amazing Travis behind the bar with his big fabulous personality. Yay!

Said we came at a good time before "after work rush" Here's where I felt things didn't go so well. We placed our order for a couple of entrees and tossed in an appetizer. The place was NOT busy and everything came out at the same time. Huge faux pas. After that, our server must've visited us a dozen times asking if we needed thing. I jokingly said "we're good just leave us alone" It's a huge turnoff to be hounded and not have your orders timed appropriately. ‍sorry not sorry. You wanna be semi-fancy, your service needs to reflect that Now food. I ordered the Porchetta Bahn Mi, friend had a wild rice beet salad? The app was fried pickles. Bahn Mi was ok. Every "handheld" is served on brioche so that was a bit of a turn off for a Bahn Mi. Half the part of them being delicious, is the bread itself. I didn't taste the friends salad but looked inviting. The pickles didn't seem cooked enough? Not very crispy. Maybe that's why everything came out all at once. I might give this place another chance

Time for a little update!…read more It's been a hot minute since we've been back to visit -- four years, actually -- and the fact that this gem still exists says something! This time we brought the whole family for dinner. I'd recommend reservations on weekends since it was packed, but we got seated right away because we planned ahead. Our waitress was top-notch -- high energy, charming, attentive. I'd give her 6 stars if I could! She read our crew well and adapted to each individual at the table -- a skill that clearly came from experience, and it served her (and us) well. Everything we had was great: cocktails, appetizers, dinner -- not a bad thing on the table. But the standouts for me were the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Spicy Shrimp Shio Ramen. For drinks, the seasonal Crazy (whiskey, Amaro Montenegro, beet, cayenne, lemon, egg white) and the Veruca Salt (tequila, coconut, avocado, pineapple, lime) were both incredible. I loved them so much I'm making a special trip back to town during my stay just to have them again ;) Bravo, State Lunch! You've got a fan for life. Bummer they don't open until May 6, two days from now. Continuing our drive north we came across the famous Moody's Diner that's known for their pies & down home cooking. They cook their own turkey so a turkey club is a must. For me it was either a 1/2 # lobster roll or a Percy burger with Swiss, onion & mushrooms. The burger was the juiciest burger I've ever had & I had a hard time getting it around my mouth. I managed to eat 3/4 of it & took the rest back to our B&B for later. We also had a side of awesome onion rings. If you've never been go eat & enjoy Maine cooking & hospitality. A factoid: They serve over 55,000 pieces of pie a year. Off to Whitehall B&B to rest up, go sightseeing & have an extraordinary dinner the night before our 37th anniversary. I forgot look at the size of this oatmeal raisin cookie we bought. Biggest cookie I've ever seen. BTW: Kris ordered a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie, she didn't like it. I passed on dessert.
