This place was super fun!! My boyfriend and I decided to go and try and Escape Room, and it was such a fun date night type of thing :) we did the Wild Western Escape Room and I highly recommend doing this one. It was challenging at times, but it was doable and fun. I would definitely go and try this same room out again in the future or even try the two other escape rooms. They also have a "Rage Room" where you can destroy things, and that is something I am highly looking forward to haha. Kayla and Allyson were very helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. It was nice having them to talk to while we waited for the escape room to be ready. The staff is friendly and are very helpful I would recommend this place for couples, families, friends, anyone. To be honest I was a little skeptical because of the location, I guess I just expected a huge warehouse type of location; shame on me for judging a book by its cover. We did the jungle room with a group of 4 yesterday, what a fun experience! I've done escape rooms before and what I liked about them is that their waiting room has way more to do than others I've been to. The guide was also WAY more attentive than I've experienced before, immediately responds to your walkie when you need a hint. We went to the pirate escape had a great time! I was really impressed with all the details and decor that were incorporated into the experience, and how they used some of the props to make sure the whole team was engaged from the beginning. If you sign up with a small group, expect that there may be other people you don't know joining you in your time slot. Once the event got started though, everyone worked together really well to solve the puzzle! We had a few kids in our group as well, and I loved that there were some puzzles challenging enough for the adults but the kids were still able to figure things out too and be a vital part of the team! read more

We went here while on vacation and were really disappointed. I'm very surprised by the high reviews. They say on the site that the room is "dim", but it is so dim that you really can't see. They give you a flashlight that barely emits light, making it even harder to find things. This does not add to the challenge but really takes away from the fun and was really frustrating. In addition, there were parts of the room that were broken, labels left on a piece of furniture that the staff told us later was from ikea and not part of the challenge which again, was not more challenging but frustrating. When we got a clue right we heard a noise that something opened but it was so dark it was hard to see what happened. The person who was working there was flat and un enthusiastic. We commented on the darkness and flashlight and she didn't seem to care. We got a Groupon so I was ok with what we paid but if we had paid full price I would have asked for a refund. Not a good experience - we went to Escapology and had a fantastic time. Definitely go there instead. read more

Our group tried out the pirate themed room. We have played other escape rooms in Southern California, and we were honestly a little disappointed in the overall experience. The puzzles and solutions were not very linear or logical, and when we asked for clues, we received information based on a puzzle we had yet to even find, which only added to our confusion. Our GM seemed a bit distracted, possibly running multiple games simultaneously, but clues should at least be somewhat related to your current status in the game. We also experienced an issue with one of the locks not opening despite having the correct solution, which led us further astray as we hunted for another combination. Our GM later told us that sometimes the locks can be damaged from use, but something like that should be identified during the room reset (our opinion). I didn't feel that this escape room had the production value, challenge, or ah ha moments that we have found in other rooms. The plethora of "Do Not Touch" signs and items only add to the many distractions scattered around the room. Given the fantastic rooms we have experienced for similar cost, it would not be one we could recommend to our friends. read more

Had a great experience today in the Jungle Room with 9 of my friends. Challenging but solvable puzzles, great staff (Shout out to Taylor our hostess) We escaped in the nick of time with just under 3 mins to spare. We had 9 adults and 1 child (I think he's 8) and he was able to join right in and had fun! Great family experience! Check groupon for discounts! The ONLY thing I might change is the number of people allowed in this escape. It is 10, we had 10, and at times we were a bit cramped, but not enough to ding an entire star over! read more

Came here tonight for my daughter's 14th birthday. Our group of 4 (2 teens 2 adults) had a blast!! Apparently there was another small group supposed to do it with us but they canceled last minute so we got to do it alone. We did the pirate theme room. The rooms themselves are not huge but they were very fun!!! The clues in the rooms were tricky enough that we did have to ask for hints occasionally (you're allowed 4 hints via a walkie talkie), but the challenge made each puzzle-victory that much sweeter! Staff was very friendly & helpful (we were helped by a brunette girl, I think her name was Taylor). We will definitely be back with our other kids to try another theme room! read more

We were 40 mins in and one of our members put their middle fingers up in the air in frustration and we were all told to immediately leave - I was shocked. The only thing that keeps this from 5 stars is the price. It's a little hidden, but worth finding. We honestly didn't think we were going to have as much fun as we did. Overall the escape room was fun. It took us a while to figure out exactly how to go through the first room since this was our first time doing an escape room and the cia theme consisted of only two rooms. What we had a problem with is that only an hour is allocated to completing the escape room and there was no warning before hand on time at all. The walkie talkies were really quiet and we couldn't make out what clues were being given to us. Even the speakers in the room that would let us know when we did something correct we're very quiet and hard to understand over the background music. There should be more time given to the rooms like an hour and a half and clocks in the room that let you know how much time has passed especially since we were a group with young children. The hour was definitely not enough for first timers. Would I go back? Not at all definitely there are better escape rooms with more rooms and customer service read more

My family really enjoyed the challenge of the "Great Pirate Escape". It was our first time going to an escape room so we had no idea what to expect. The two rooms we had to work through were well thought out with clues that were not too easy for adults nor too hard for kids to solve. It took us awhile to work our way out so, since there wasn't another group waiting to use the room, we were given an extra 15 minutes to escape (like I said, it was our first time!) Service was friendly and helpful. We will definitely go to Brainy Actz again and try some of their other rooms. read more
