Usually the people are are pretty cool and good at their jobs. Today I had an oil change scheduled for 10:30. 11:00 I notice my car has been moved but nothing from the people at the desk and I figure they will be getting to it. Fast forward to 12:30 and my car is in the same spot. I finally ask the sonso at the front desk what's going on do I need to reschedule and he goes "oh uhhh it's done". So my car was done for a freak hour and a half and I received no communication?? Also in the time I was there there was one guy in the waiting area for the first hour and then one elderly lady for the second hour. So it's not like it was a bustling waiting area. read more

Service was terrible. I got there at open with an appointment. Waited three hours never heard back. Called to see if they had looked at my car. The person I talked to was very rude. Not sure if it was because I was a woman or if they talk to everyone this way? Very unprofessional to be angry about someone calling after 3 hours of wait time. They said they would call me back when it was in the bay with an estimate. A few more hours go by. I call back again and tell them I'm coming to get my car and going somewhere else. Magically my car was getting looked at just then. Took 7 hours for service and a threat to leave before my car got worked on. Only took them 30 minutes to change the fluids. The price of the service was very reasonable. That's the one star. If you want good customer service and reasonable service time o would go somewhere else. This is not a pleasant review to write, since I have had nothing but great experiences with this business in the past. I had my brakes replaced there a couple of years ago. I purchased lifetime brakes and was told that if I had any issues, that I could return to any Brake Masters for warranty repairs. I also inquired about what the warranty would be if I was not by a Brake Masters. I was informed that there would be a proration of my warranty when i brought in a receipt. I called this store and spoke with Adrian and explained my issue and that I needed to get my brakes serviced and was there a Brake Masters near my location in South Dakoda. Adrian informed me that there were no brake masters in South Dakoda and that "me brakes were a couple of years old...." and that I should just bring my truck into the store in Bernalillo to get serviced. I again informed Adrian that I was in South Dakoda and that it was not safe for me to travel from South Dakoda to New Mexico for brake service. Adrian's response was "eh.." read more

Had somewhat of a glitch in the schedule this morning due to what was an issue with another vehicle and what Brake Masters found. With what I needed done, the technician was busy taking care of added issues with the vehicle before me. This created a 2 hour backup but customer service and the manager contacted me to remedy the situation. Not too many businesses go out of their way like that. Do not go to this place the Brake Masters on Bernalillo store 232 will rip you off I brought my truck in to have a gasket for my transmission pan replaced and a new transmission pan . The transmission was not leaking before I brought it in but when I got it back it's leaking like crazy and now they're trying to tell me that it's leaking from a different spot and now I need to fix it when the transmission wasn't leaking to begin with do not go to this place do not talk to Gabe they're disrespectful they're Liars they're trying to get money out of you horrible service read more

We needed new brakes on our 2013 Nissan Sentra SR. The rotors and drums were almost completely worn down, 95% worn and rotors were heat spotted. We obtained a quote from JJs Premier tire for $390.94. I took this price quote to Assistant Manager Gabriel Maes, at Brake Masters, and asked if he could beat it. He emphatically said yes. Four hours later, we picked up the Sentra and the brakes were fixed. Only cost us $328.75, this was after a coupon for $35 off. Brake Masters in Bernalillo, on Hwy 528 does not provide courtesy rides back to your house while they work on your car. They replaced the alternator in my car. When you replace the alternator, you loosen the belt. They did that, but did not bother to tell me that my belt was no longer any good. It was in shreds already and needed to be replaced. I got stuck in Rio Rancho, out in the desert in 104 degrees. These people are worthless. read more
