I've lived in the OC most of my life and up till recently my repair garage has seen its better days as the owner is slowly killing his business, so I went looking for a new place where friends gave me recommendations. After a few visits for minor fixes.. I felt like they maybe over priced but good work, BIDENFLATION.. but my most recent repair was CV joints and control arm mounts on my 2013 Ford Explorer.. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO FIRESTONE!! They said everything looks good after the free inspection ( see pic ) But here at Brake Masters, they do more than brakes.( see pic), Sal walked me out to my car and looked under to point out the nasty fluid leak.. and pointed out the mounts were completely gone too.. So I replaced the much needed repairs that cost about $1700, but my go to repair shop said $2200... So point of the story for me, my service here was outstanding and had my alignment done on my truck here too... Brake Masters does a great job with Brakes but also does minor repairs to your car and reasonable prices ( with coupon on website). I came here based on reviews and two recommendations. I brought my Honda Civic here this past Monday thinking I needed new brake pads. I asked Danny if he could lift my car up and check them out. He came to conclusion that I didn't need them replaced and it would be stupid to do so since there was so much life left on them. Since he already had my car on the lift, i had him go ahead and do a tire rotation and oil change since those things were necessary. An honest mechanic is hard to find these days, but Danny is doing a great job and just being honest to his fellow community members. I will definitely give out recommendations to friends, along with coming back in the future when I actually need new brake pads. read more

I came here for an alignment. They say it got aligned. It didn't. I took it to Subaru dealer for a second opinion, and whatdoyaknow!! The Subaru mechanic said it was only veering to the right because there wasn't enough air in the tire. So they fill it with air. Now I'm driving down the road wearing out my brand new Michelin's because a couple mechanics can't tell when my car drives crooked. Ya know what? I'm thinking their d*cs are crooked. Not the best news when they tell you that your brakes are gone. No like really gone. There was nothing left. I knew they were bad, I heard the noise...But I didn't think they would be that BAD. The plan was to get them checked, quoted and fixed tomorrow while the Mister was at work. Well tomorrow was not going to happen. We were not going to make it back to Anaheim. Well we would make it.....buuuuuuut....it be a risk, going 75mph and having to stop suddenly. Brake Masters has a few locations. They are pretty trustworthy and have been around for years. The guy here, Danny was super chill. They do free brake checks which is when we got the bad news. Luckily he was able to fix them for us that day. Which was nice because we got here at 4:30. We were in and out in a little more than an hour. He even showed us what was left of the rotors and pads. There was NOTHING!!! Price was decent for new pads and rotors. Well as decent as it can be. It still cost us. The web site had a $30.00 off coupon which did help us out. If you sign up for emails you can get more coupons. Located in Lake Forrest off Bake Parkway in a plaza with other mechanic shops. They are almost full service....Oil changes, alignments, shocks, CV boots, Belts, Hoses, you name it, they probably do it. Waiting room had comfy couches, chairs, vending machines and free WiFi. Avoid at all costs. My son went to brake masters for front end brake pads. When he returned home the front end sounded like marbles rolling in the front end. We towed it back to the shop the next day and were sent on our way. 24 hours later the front brake line to the caliper was severed leaving our car with no front brakes on the 5 highway. They quoted me more than double the price I paid here- and tried to tell me my rotors had to be replaced. When I came here they hooked it up and did the resurfacing. I bought 2 new tires from a different place and was recommended to get an alignment. My car dealer also recommended an alignment. So I called this place and they said they do not take any appointments but that it was less than an hour wait if I came in right away. I told the salesman it would take me about 30 minutes to get there. I also got a quote over the phone. So I left right away. After driving 22 miles, I get there and there are NO parking spaces to be found!!! I drove through the parking area and waited, hoping someone would come out to free up a space..but it didn't happen. So I parked my car by the door and walk in, hoping to talk to someone! There is a counter with no one there to help and only three people sitting in the hot, sunny waiting room. The phone is ringing, and no one is answering it! Finally, someone comes out and I proceed to tell him I called about 35 minutes ago about an alignment for my car. He tells me it will be at least two to three hours wait!! Really!!!??? There is no place to walk to in the area, even a fast food place if I wanted to wait that long. BUYER BEWARE I called this company on 2 occasions for a quote for new front brake pads and was quoted $169, with a lifetime warranty, both times. When i brought my car in, after they took my car apart and waiting for 45 minutes, they told me it would cost $280 for the same service i was quoted over the phone. The service advisor told me he couldn't honor the price his boss quoted me, his boss wasn't there, and that he couldn't contact him. They are running a scam to get people in the door! read more
