Spoke to Amir the owners son last week. Got quotes for resurfacing or replacing the front rotors and pads. Then I got a quote for buying the rotors and pads myself and only pay for labor which i was told $160 (cinfirmed twice). Based on information provided I ordered the parts. When arrived on my day off called and confirmed the information with Amir again. I drove 30 minutes to the shop and now I am speaking to Eli the owner. I told him about the quote and he says "no that price is only for pads and not rotors!". I asked him to bring out Amir which was refused! Then he quoted me $260. He made it sound like I should have known the price was too low!! I told him i double checked with his shop TWICE before coming in and it is Not my responsibility to have memorized the labor for various mechanical jobs!...The audacity to waste over an hour of my life without finching and trying to put it back on me for not knowing labor costs is beyoynd comprehension...never going back there again...I refuse to work with dishonest people. read more

Honest owners. I took my car there to get an estimate on replacing my front brake pads on my RAV4 because the dealership recommended that I should consider getting it done soon. The crew at Break World removed all my tires to check my brakes. The owner came over to me and asked if I was having a problem with my brakes. I told him about the dealership recommending I have them replaced soon because there was 6mm left on the pads. He said the front pads have 70 percent left on them and the back ones look like they were recently changed. He said I have at least another 10 thousand miles to go before I need them replaced. I thanked them and told them I would be back in 5,000 miles for an oil change and another brake inspection. read more

Everyone there is knowledgeable and never stop working. I found this place years ago because I went to the Chevy dealership across the street and they tried to rip me off because of a busted pipe in my car that they did. I saw the bad reviews, but went to this shop anyhow. Bad decision! I knew I needed rear brakes and saw the ads this shop sends out regularly. They looked at my brakes and then I was told it would be $379 for the rear brakes. I told them no way I was going to pay that much. The man I was speaking to then took me out to my vehicle to show me that I needed new rotors (not just resurfacing) and that my right caliper was supposedly frozen. I asked if he was replacing the caliper, and he said, "No the pins." I told him again $379 was too much, and I would have to go and get other estimates. Then the owner, Avi, comes to talk to me, and I told him the price was too much, and that I had called other repair shops before going to his, and I wanted to see how much it would be elsewhere. He said, "Go ahead, call." I called another shop that told me it would be $319, and they also told me they had no idea about replacing the pins on the caliper, and that they would "torch" it to get it unstuck, but would have to see it first. I told Avi that, and he said that is what he would do too...torch it. I then realized the other guy in his shop had lied, when he said he had to replace the pins to make it look like he was doing more than he was. When Avi confronted him, he said he never told me that. How would I have known about pins in a caliper, if he hadn't told me? Avi then went down to $340 + tax, and I still said I was not interested. I asked him to please put my wheels back on, so I could leave. While I waited for my vehicle, he came back to talk to me again and was trying to convince me it was a good price. He was then at $340 including tax. He also said, "If you can get it for less, then CALL ME A THIEF!" He continues to talk and tell me how long he has been in business, and if he was a thief he wouldn't have so much business. At that point, if he would have done it for half the price I was not interested because I prefer dealing with shops that are fair and honest up front. I left and went to Texan Tire on 441, where I have had work done in the past. They charged me $180 for new rotors (not resurfaced) and new brakes and said they had no idea what he was talking about with the caliper because it was working fine. So Avi, here I AM CALLING YOU A THIEF!!! I will never go back to your shop. I hope everyone reading this will take my advice and go elsewhere. read more

Bait & switch. Don't trust them when they give you a quote over the phone. Went there for one thing specifically (front brakes) & had to stop them as they were taking off my back tires. Definitely will try & upsale you(if you don't know better) Won't get into owners standoffish demeanor when asked "what are you doing to the back tires, I just need you to replace the front brakes"(as per my phone call).... read more

Today I went in to fix the brakes on my 2016 Nissan Pathfinder. I went to Brake World in Pembroke Pines in the Sedanos shopping plaza. I went in with a coupon (see picture attach) $79.00, and left paying $190.00. The owner "Eli" said that I was not a real man because I did not want to pay him the new amount of $190.00. I dropped my vw Jetta since the AC didn't cool the car. My father was out of town and I had no choice. I couldn't drive the car in mid summer till my father returned home. When I stopped at Brake World Eli cheek the AC system right away. The AC compressor wasn't working. Eli ordered a new compressor while the technician took the old one out. My car was fixed and the AC is working fine. I rarely get my car repaired (my father job) but my experience at BRAKE World was great. I highly recommend for all car owners. read more

Keeping track of my car's oil and other maintenance issues is not my idea of a good time. It's a nuisance and if it were up to me, I'd just worry about putting gas in it and just driving off. I'm always looking Pepito and Juanita places to change my car's oil since Goodyear and Jiffylube charge 40-50 bucks for the service. I received a coupon mailer for Brake World and it was an oil change for 20 bucks. So I went out and sure enough the coupon was valid and there was no bait and switch. I was told I'd be called when it was done and in a few hours I got a phone call to pickup my car. When I went out, I met with a manager and was told my brakes needed replacing. I knew that it was about that time since the brakes weren't performing well but he let me see for myself. He showed me all four pads that were worn while my car was on the lift. I came back a couple of weeks later to get my brakes done on a Saturday. I received a written estimate for 220.00 for all four pads to be replaced including the rotors to be shaved. Of course, while being explained that the car needed the rotors shaved, I nodded in agreement while silently wonder what the hell he was talking about. All I knew is that the price sounded good. Two hours later, I arrived to pickup my car and there were no hidden fees or surprises. So far my car hasn't ended up in a palm tree due to brake failure so I'm very satisfied with the shop's price and service. read more

Don't go to this place. I took my car here to get the brakes re-done and within a week I was having issues again as if nothing was replaced. I took it back and they "fixed" the problem. I've finally gotten around to writing a review of this car mechanic. I have taken my car here for over 10 years and never felt like I would be upsold work to be done. The staff shows me clearly what the problem is, and what they will do prior to starting. I was able to save money with them by instead of putting new brakes and rotors, they mentioned to just have the rotors re-surfaced which would help fix the issue I was having. I refer all my friends here and will continue to do so. From an a/c fixes to my brakes these guys have done good work at a reasonable prices. read more

They honor their ads/coupons. They often show you other service issues that need to be addressed; but they show you.... DO NOT AGREE TO THE FIRST PRICE.... you can usually get them to give at least 10% off if you hem and haw. After they replaced my main drive belt.....for some reason my power steering started squealing.... they bled the system and topped off the fluid. When the noise came back a week later, they spent an hour trying to quiet it, and even though they said it should not have been related to the drive/fan belt change...they flushed the master cylinder and system for free. They are not fast...if you can drop and leave and return you are ahead. They seem honest, and I've had no other problems with anything they fixed. read more

I recently moved to the area with my husband and baby. We needed to get an oil change and found the flyer in he mail for this place, right around our area. I came in for an oil change and the coupon for $19.99 was honored without hesitation. I knew before hand we needed to get brakes done, and had a coupon from them for them as well, but with my baby I didn't want to wait long. They told me the wait would be an hour, they have an AC waiting room and tv which is nice. We chose to walk around since I had the baby. About half an hour they called and discussed the brakes with me, and gave me multiple options without any pressure about my decision. They assured me it would not take much longer since I had the baby. I decided to do it and they honored their time promise and the second coupon for which I was grateful. I had been searching for a month now for locations to have my brakes done. This place came up when googling for shops. So I decided to go on my day off from work early in the morning and have them fixed. That same day I had a doctors appointment. So I tried to make it to brake world with time so that I would possibly have my car done by the time of the Appointment. If not, I was going to take an Uber. When I asked the gentleman in the front Eli how long they would take because I had an appointment in an hour. He offered to lend me a loner vehicle they had so I wouldn't have to request an Uber. I was in shock of how nice that was of him to let me borrow the car. I made it to my appointment on time and was back within an hour to pick my car up. I spent a bit more than what I wanted but when it comes to my car I try to get everything done. Eli was also very honest with me about the vehicle and what needed to be done apart from the brake pads. I truly appreciate it that and the service I was given.
