Ive been taking my Vehicle there for three years now for service. The old owners did good work but took them a long while to finish a repair. The new owner took my car in the morning and repaired my A/C and Repaired the front wheel bearings on my car. The car was ready before noon time. Wow these guys were great to work with. I had come from out of town to purchase a vehicle in the area and wanted to change the oil and fix an issue the truck was having with the parking brake. They got me in super quick, found the issue and fixed it quickly and even let me see the issue under the truck. And the price for all this was great. When changing my oil they did not install the filter properly and I smelled burning, I went to a different auto shop to check it out snd they found that all the oil leaked out of my engine. Very honest, dependable and fast. I have a bmw so I try to be careful with where I take my car to get worked on.. Long story short, Discount Auto Repair resolved all my issues with my car. I came in originally to replace my axle but they revealed to me that one of my control arms was literally floating in the air. They replaced my axle, and bolted my control arm back into place for a reasonable price while also fixing my differential leak within 3-4 hours . I went for an oil change and the mechanic was really nice but when I went to pay I asked if they could take a look at the engine to see if it needed anything else done (I just bought the car from auction so they usually need some repairs) so I could get an estimate from them but the cashier was really rude and kept cutting me off saying that I had only gotten an oil change and it's was $60 dollars. I was looking for an auto repair place, checking the reviews on the big places and they were horrible. I drove by this place often and it was always busy. I didn't get the gentleman's name who was orchestrating the whole thing but he was fantastic. I had a noise in my suburban that didn't sound good. He called over a young man named Hassan. He took it for a drive, came back a few minutes later and told me exactly what it was and quoted me a VERY reasonable price and took the vehicle into the bay and fixed it right away. He even brought me into the bay to show me the bad suspension parts. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Being a female usually doesn't work out well with car repair places. They tend to take you for a ride in a bad way and charge more than necessary because they think we're idiots. These guys were so polite and straight up with everything. I can see why they are always busy. Should something go wrong with my suburban in the future, this is the First place I will go. 3 times I been here already and they always took care of my car. Always straight forward to answers, and the owner is nice and mindful. He would tell you if the job will be needed, and will compare if the cost will be beneficial to the car. There is no force to do the job. They don't drag you into fixing it. They always let me decide, and is open to come back when ever I'm ready for the job. Unlike other mechanics they would add costs and labor without your permission. Worst place ever. I even gave them a second chance. I went for 4 non-mechanical items. After 2 return visits one of the 4 was fixed. I don't have time to keep dropping off my car and hoping they fix it properly. Tonight, the mirror I asked to be reinstalled fell off the window. I had to buy a used mirror unit but seriously should it fall off 2 days after the repair? Door was sticking. That actually got fixed on the second visit. One Headlight needed to be replaced. Brights stay on 24/7. Yup even after 3 visit, still not functioning. And I had asked for the windshield washing fluid to be repaired as some of the tubes were older. Nope. Not functioning. 2 years ago they screwed up my Cadillac. I swore them off. Convenient location had me thinking I'll try once more. Shame on me and bye bye $$$. My advice, find someone else. Took vehicle for repair estimate for a small job. Mechanic quoted $40 if I supplied parts. Went back for repair and asked if they could do job. Told they were "very busy" There was one vehicle being worked on. I asked when I could come back- no reply. Asked if they need work? No. Leave don't come back. Stepson had car in for repair. When went to pickup, charge for 4X estimate. Wouldn't release car without full payment. When picked up, repair was not done properly and had to be re-done. These guys are the absolute best. My father had been going to a mechanic for years and the guy was a crook. Tried to charge my dad $500 for some job and I told him just take it to these guys in Hollywood. So he did and the guys repaired the car which just needed a minor fix and I think he charged my dad like $50 max. I've also taken my car to them telling them another mechanic told me it needs this this this and that. These guys in Hollywood would be like na man it's just blah blah blah, fix it and sometimes won't even charge me. I don't trust mechanics but these guys I trust 100000000%.. if they told me I needed a big job done (hasn't happened yet) I would just get it done with a smile on my face knowing they're not lying to me.
