I explained to them that I need to fix the chip so I don't have to go through a claim process with my credit card, because who wants to really go through claim processes? Nobody. He said no problem we can get this fixed for you in the morning before you return it. He came at 7am and sent me before and after photos. The "after photo" he texted me appeared as if there was no more visible chip so I figured mission accomplished. When I got in the car I was shocked. This was not fixed at all and actually looked worse than before because of the drilling he did. Work began around that time but was not resolved until May 4th, nearly a month past the original deadline. Even at that point, the issues were significant: the entire right side of the car was not functioning correctly, the DSP inputs were configured wrong, and the speakers were installed in the wrong locations (higher-quality drivers belong in the front doors...). Scheduling delays, largely on DJ's end, pushed things to May 4th, at which point I sought a second opinion. The new shop walked me through the deficiencies in detail and made clear what had been done incorrectly, including a stripped bolt connecting the seat to the floor. Given that I had already paid a substantial sum for substandard work, they were professional and transparent throughout the process and had it done in two days.

I can't say enough good things about the stellar service I received at Brakes Plus, located on 380 I've come to use them for anything that goes wrong with my car. It started with me thinking my brakes felt funny and that maybe I needed new pads. A friend suggested a new service center closer to my home but I had seen the new Brakes Plus building with specials listed on the window. Nothing hidden there and in my mind that was much better than the mysterious new facility up the street. As it turns out my brakes were just fine. Next came an oil change with a coupon and I had found my new "Go To" place for my car service. As it turns out my next trip to Brakes Plus was within 2 weeks of my oil change. A light had come on that advised that my car needed to be serviced soon. The dreaded light, of warning could have meant anything but thank goodness for Steven B. the General Manager. He had them check out my car and actually saved me money by twisting the gas cap tightly and clearing the computer in the car. The light went out, even better that there was no charge. However, if the light came back on after driving it they would have to take steps to determine the problem. I didn't drive the car for several days and was surprised when Steven B. called to find out if the light had come back on. Seriously!!! Who does that? It's a rare case to have someone actually take it upon themselves to call and check to make certain that my engine light had not come back on. This young man deserves to be acknowledged and recognized in more ways than one. Friendly, vibrant, with a smile as big as TX. Feel free to use this story, or any portion, but I'd try them first before anyone elseI'm confident you will have a great experience there. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Something you don't get to witness in today's world...if I lived in the area (we live in Oklahoma) this would defineitly be my go to place for any auto work..we had problems on our way home from Dallas and luckily pulled over at the convenience store located next door..our brakes were so hot they were burning the rubber on the wheel...say this place, pulled in, and they literally took it from there. We were pulling a trailer of furniture, which we had to unhook, and one of the techs actually hooked up to the trailed and pulled it in the service garage because (unknown to us, sitting in the super clean lobby) it was fixing to come a downpour..and he didn't want our stuff to get wet...I mean,,,who does this ??? They had to order our parts and it was a Saturday and they ALL wound up staying almost an hour past quitting time to make sure we got back on the road safe and sound....can't say thank you enough!!!! read more

Brakes Plus located 26585 E. University Dr. Aubrey, TX, where Steven is the General Manager, is by far the best place I've ever gone to have my brakes done. It experience began with a pleasant conversation over the phone about what was going on with my brakes. Steven was gave me the invitation to come into the shop and have them looked at. While there, I was able to enjoy the freshly brewed coffee and very nice atmosphere. Once my car was pulled into the shop, I was invited by a Serviceman to come back and he explained what was going on with my vehicle, and then gave me options. He was not pushy nor did I feel he was only trying to make a sale, but he was concerned (seems to be a common attribute among the workers there). We came here to get an idea of what needed to be done for our brakes, but we already knew it was bad, like, REALLY bad, terrible even. Steven did the inspection and delivered the news that the brakes had gone so long that it had become an unsalvageable situation. It was going to cost more money than we had, by at least 500%, and we had to make the decision to go with God, because we simply didn't have it, and couldn't have it. Steven offered us different solutions, but we just couldn't surmount the financial ask, regardless of how low it might seem to some. But Steven was graceful, and he showed us, complete strangers, love. You're dealing with a man who has worked hard to be in a position that holds weight. And with that position, he will do what he can to help you, even if it isn't "cost effective" for him. You need to come do business with him at Brakes Plus, and we need more men like Steven. read more

I went in that evening and was taken care of in a very professional way. They made me feel like family.They explained everything to me about what the problem was. I'm the type of person who sometimes feels that some of the shops are just out to get your money. But not so with this location. I was impressed.
