Was told that water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced at a cost of just under $1,600. Next day, large oily leak under car. Grew larger each of next two days. Took car back in due to leak and to complete a couple of other unrelated items. Was told there was no sign of leak. Knew that was wrong so went to competitor who immediately identified leaking turbocharger. According to Google AI Overview: "For (my car) a mechanic must remove the turbocharger assembly to replace the water pump....the mechanic must take extra care to avoid damaging these components. It's crucial that all gaskets and seals are replaced properly....to prevent future leaks. Took car to dealer service department who also identified damaged and leaking turbocharger assembly. Cost to fix....well over $5,000. Regarding your response below...I did let you know at the time. Only you said there was no leak when two other auto repair then immediately saw leaks and showed me photos of them. read more

They told me to get 2 turbos and a vacuum pump and my truck will be perfect this was July 2025 $7k later I've been back 4 times I told Todd the manager 3 weeks ago please have my truck fixed he told me yeah yeah my guys are top notch. I picked up my truck yesterday and had to drive to Atlanta and the turbo blew again. This is now the 5th turbo over 8 months and I forced to get it fixed in Atlanta at ford dealership!! Had a problem with my car. My 2005 Scion XB hazard lights was going off and wouldn't stop. The car was completely off. It appeared that water got into my car when it rained after safelite replaced my windshield. They tried to fix it but couldn't. They sent it to LD Automotive. After a week of fully inspecting my vehicle, the mechanics discovered a burnt fuse in my fuse control panel. Wonderful service & staff, they took good care of my car. Had an incident where they could not find the part so I had to find the part on my own. I bought a part from ford dealership and it ended up being no good so I ended up having to take it back to Ford & swap it out with a part that is good. I was not informed the price was going to go up because I received a bad part on Ford's behalf, so when it was time to pay I was told a different amount than the initial amount and it was almost a 200 dollar increase. Great company but just needs to do better with updating clients if there is going to be a price increase, I felt blindsided when it was time to pay since I was not informed on the price going up from the initial price I was told. read more

And we found out it was something that we would not have been able to do on our own. We are back a week later and my transmission is bad. David worked hard to find me a transmission, and they never do any work on the vehicle before calling and get permission. I love this place. Everyone is very courteous. I've been to LD Auto a few times for minor issues. They are reasonably priced, very professional, have great customer service, and seem trustworthy. I especially appreciate that they didn't try and make a quick sale when the opportunity presented itself- they could have easily overcharged me for parts, but didn't take advantage of the situation and proactively recommended I come back after checking other places for more competitive pricing. I'm really not used to this kind of integrity from an auto shop and am not surprised they seem to be expanding operations. They deserve all the success they're having. I haven't had any major car problems yet, but if anything happens I would definitely take it here without worrying I might be royally screwed over. read more

Returned our car with no oil in it after an oil change. Almost ruined engine. No apology or refund. We were happy with them until this incident: we picked up our vehicle after a repair and oil change. When we started driving it, there was an awful smell - assumed maybe they'd spilled oil on the engine block. By time reached home (about 3 miles) there was smoke coming out from under the hood. Honestly did not occur to me that they could possibly be so negligent as to return a car without any oil in it. But when I checked, sure enough the stick was totally dry. Dumped a couple of quarts into the car, restarted it and could see the oil dripping out quite rapidly whenever the car was running. When I contacted the repair shop and politely told them what was wrong, they just said to bring it back. I did, and they fixed whatever it was they broke without a charge, but with no apology for almost ruining my vehicle, and no refund on their "oil change" or reimbursement for my time/money that I had to spend on extra quarts of oil and coordinating with my spouse to drop off the car again. An honest mistake would have been fine. Not owning up to it and apologizing, not trying to make it right really burned me. Negligence is one thing, but the way I was treated means I'll be looking elsewhere for a garage. read more

I found this place on Yelp when I suspected my battery was on its way out. I took a chance, went in BY MYSELF (yeah, blonde walks in a garage not knowing a damn thing about cars = every chance to get taken advantage of by dishonest mechanics and coming outta there with a hefty price tag). But hey, I was desperate and was not about to go without a car for the weekend. Well, this place was AWESOME. I was welcomed with respect, understanding and above all, honesty. I did not have an appointment and was treated like a long time customer even though I literally barged in at opening time lol...My car was fixed in 3 hours and the customer service was impeccable. The tab was also reasonable. I showed my boyfriend their estimate and recommendations and while he was none too pleased I went in without his inestimable presence and endless car knowledge, he did agree everything was fair and as he should be. I was glad to support a local family owned business and if you have car issues, do not hesitate to visit these guys. These guys are amazing.!!! They are fast, efficient, and polite. I have been there twice for multiple repairs on me poor old Hyandai that has almost 200,000 miles on it, and also had my oil changed once there. The prices are very reasonable for level of service and efficiency provided, and they get you outta there as soon as they can. They will even give you the option on using old parts for repairs. They also have a 3 yr/35,000 mile warranty, but .I think its conditional to the parts used in the repairs. The garage is also one of the cleanest and most organized I have ever seen. I went there for the first time last week since I was close to the area. Jonah was the one who helped me out. I explained my car problem to him and he immediately went out to let me drive him around the area to listen to the part that was making noises. I never got that kind of a service from Firestone, they always tell me to leave the car and then they will not be able to figure out what's wrong with my car. I also have problems with Firestone always telling me my tires have nails in it that I have to replace my tires. And when I go to the Discount tires (another honest place), the they will say, "I don't see any nails in your tires or the tires are fixable". Anyway, back to L D Auto, Jonah diagnosed the problem right away and he quoted me with a "honest" price. He did not tell me my car needs extra work. He got the car fix in an hour and half and I am so thankful for that. It makes my day so much easier knowing the auto repair people are not lying to me and trying to jack up the price or having me wait for 3-4 hours in the freezing cold waiting room (that's what happened to me last time at Firestone). read more

What can i say?? The service is fantastic. These guys had an issue with their alignment machine when my car was there, they communicated everything to me, while it was a tad bit of a inconvenience they made it right. I as also in need of brakes. They gave me all the information and a quote. I mentioned that my husband works on cars and could probably do the brakes. There was no pressure, he explained everything to me and offered to call my husband to give him their info and what they thought needed to be done. No pressure..... i highly recommend them! I have a degree in auto mechanics and although I do a lot of my own work I needed to get something done in a prompt timely manner. A friend of mine the owner of LW's towing told me about LD Automotive and I scheduled the repair with them. I priced the parts and labor to have the dealer do the repairs and they were a little cheaper but they didn't try to up-sell me on things that are not necessary. This was two years ago. Two weeks ago I needed to get my wife's vehicle ready for several hundred miles of travel and I called and scheduled with Jonas and I also added some additional things that were needed and they waited after they closed so I could get it. It's not just a job for them they all have cars they work on and rebuild at home too. LD has worked on our cars for years and I have the confidence in them to work with my 20 year old daughter on her 10 year old college truck without me being there. A quick oil change, brakes or other repairs are in their scope. They do not inflate what needs to be done and are just fun to talk to and work with. Thankful, relieved, painless: words I would never use to describe having your car fixed. Until now! Finding LD Automotive has been my favorite part of the new year. Nobody asks for their car to break down the week before Christmas (foreal - that happened). But after working with another mechanic and eventually walking away, LD Automotive came in and saved the day. Devon answered the phone when we originally called and couldn't have been nicer. He referred me to a towing company they work with and when it was going to be outrageously expensive for the 4 mile drive, he went to bat for me and saved us some serious green. Upon arriving to the shop, John checked us in, listened to our concerns, and told us he would run his own diagnostic and call us back at 9am the next day. Sure enough, the next morning, we received a call with a laundry list of things that needed to be fixed - twice as much as the other mechanic found. He sent us a very reasonable quote and we ended up paying even less that his original quote after he found some cost-saving ways to help us out.
