They allowed us time to decide if it was worth fixing and were creative about getting the costs to something more affordable but ultimately I agreed to have all but one item fixed. Their willingness to work with me on it really sealed the deal. I never felt pressured one way or the other and researched the prices of each repair item and they were market value. I really appreciated that I wasn't given grief for wanting to fix this old beauty instead of calling it quits and also appreciated their confidence in doing this amount of work to make it like new. Most importantly, the repairs were done right without gimmick and they're under warranty! This Christian Brothers Automotive is thorough and the final cost was reasonable compared to the quote (slight increase from what looks like parts being a tad more than anticipated). The initial inspection was awesome too, they have pictures for everything and tell you what's good, not just bad. Their prices were competitive compared to other local euro mechanics, and far less expensive than a dealer mechanic. I unfortunately had another coolant leak right after getting the first one repaired, which Eric warned me about. Both Eric and Rob spent a lot of time explaining the repair process to me to put my mind at ease and show I was getting quality service. Rob was very considerate and gave my vehicle a courtesy inspection/diagnostic to find the source of the second leak. My car was returned to me cleaner than when I dropped it off, which was very nice to see. The staff here were extraordinary in their service and knowledge. I highly recommend them as an auto repair shop.

Yesterday I instantly lost all coolant and begin hearing all of my friends telling me how expensive BMW is to repair and parts etc. I was recommended to come to edelweiss by my wife's cousin and that's best recommendation I've ever had! I showed up, car on a AAA tow, at 525 yesterday stressed and nervous for how much this was gonna cost, met Rob and instantly felt relived, he was friendly, made me feel like he cared about my situation and not just after my money. Today I got a call they explained to me what was wrong with my vehicle and sent me pictures of the problem so I could see what the issue was, and told me that my parts would be in on the afternoon parts run. I expected to get it tomorrow but 5 or so hours later they called back, told me it was ready to be picked up! Identified these issues: check engine light, headlight that keeps burning out (told them its not…read morethe bulb, its wiring), a rear window that will not roll down from the driver's controls, windshield sprayer broken (can see the broken sprayer nozzle on the hood). I was charged a couple hundred for electrical diagnostics, only for them to replace the bulb (which went out again in 4 days, as I said, its a wiring issue). They wanted another couple hundred to diagnose the sprayer issue, even though I told them the sprayer on the hood is broken and its visible. They fixed the check engine light from a faulty oil pressure switch. When I returned a week after my initial visit for the 2nd round on the headlight, I am now told its a TIPM which will cost ~$2k to replace. Window was never addressed. I will be doing both the sprayer and TIPM myself for $750, a $1200 savings. Refurbished/programmed TIPMs are available online for $700

Greg is fantastic in every aspect of the business. He cares about the quality of work and customer service they all provide. We've had Volvo's, Ford, Dodge, and Nissan - he serviced them all. And the added bonus of the cleanest car facility I've ever seen. Greg always shows me what is wrong so I can understand exactly what happened. Here you can see the destroyed bearings and bent frame (can't see the bend in pic) from when a belt snapped and beat the crap out of my car.
