Overall bad experience, I called hours before to make sure ai could get my brakes cleaned today before heading to work. The man on the phone has miss communication on their procedure process & time requirements for the car. When I arrived talked to the general manager and he talked to me condescending about the process. I explained what the staff told me hours prior. Told me they could do something so I went to tow my vehicle there, for them to tell me they didn't have the tool because the guy who is able to do the service, took it to a different location. Brought my car in for an oil change & tire rotate. #1) they charged me for a 6th quart of oil, and #2) they charged extra for an oil filter. To be fair their small print does say anything over 5 liters / quarts will be charged.... But so does almost every other shop and this is the first time I've ever been charged. The manual says the car takes 5.5 quarts. $12 for the extra oil. The $8 oil filter charge is a complete scam and 100% deceptive. They did remove it from my bill when I challenged them about it.... Wonder how many people have been charged and didn't notice this. Work completed appeared to be well done. No leaks or drips noticed in the garage. But I will not go back. It would have been cheaper to take it to the dealer. read more

I am very dissatisfied with this shop!!! NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD!!! My car has been there for 8 days and it's still not resolved!!! I first brought my car there to fix my AC which cost me over $1,100. It even has warranty from them! It started messing up a month later. No cold air and my car had major trouble running. I brought it back. 3 days later they said pick it up it's good to go and fixed but after that call, they called me back 15 min later saying now it's stalling and it's the battery. I paid them for a new battery ON TOP OF THE AC fix but it still stalled with them putting in a new battery. When they checked AGAIN after the battery they said it's the wiring. NOW TODAY THEY SAID ITS THE MOTOR MOUNTS AND THEY WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN THAT IF THEY DIDNT GO THROUGH STEPS!! James and Eddie blamed me telling me I should've told them it stalled on me. IT NEVER STALLED ON ME!!! ONLY WITH THEM!!! They both blamed me for their failures!!!! I am very dissatisfied. I am going through Lupus and MS treatment and them bulls***ing me for over a week was very very hard. I'm just taking my car back. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! read more

I am giving an updated review- after what was initially an unpleasant experience, the gentlemen at this Brakes Plus location went above the call of duty to make sure my husband and I's concerns were properly addressed. I'd like to commend Tony- he called my husband after hours and offered a solution that we felt comfortable bringing our Honda back in to get another look at. After another look, the problem was able to be determined and dismissed. The make-it-right attitude Tony has really speaks to the quality of customer service at this location. I cannot say enough great things about this place! I have had my brakes serviced here a few times and each time their customer service and work has exceeded my expectations. Recently my brakes started making a grinding noise ( I knew something was seriously wrong it sounded expensive ) trying to make it as a single mom this was something that I knew was going to break me but I had no choice as it was my only vehicle. So needless to say my stress was beyond measure. However as soon as I got there everyone was super nice and took time to really make sure I understood everything. I can't even give this place a 1 start. This place is very dishonest. I took 3 of my vehicles there they did a ok job on one of them or so I thought until I noticed the same things messing up on the vehicle. I took my 3rd vehicle in for a sound it was making in the front end to find out my upper control arms were bad. Ok cool go ahead and fix them. So not even 2 weeks later the car started making the same noise. Took it back now the lower control arms are bad. REALLY?? So basically 1 of 3 things happened. They messed up the lower when they fixed the upper arms, they knew the lower arms were bad but failed to tell me so they could charge me labor fees again to fix the lower arms when they knew I would have to bring it back. The 3rd thing that could have happened is literally what I know happened is they never fixed the upper arms at all. I say this because I took my car to the dealer and they told me both the lower and upper arms are worn out and they showed me on my car the actual worn out parts. So they never fixed anything and charged me $2500 dollars. I am very serious when I say this they will make you think you can trust them then they really screw you. They have a couple times showed me the old parts they took off but this time they sure as hell didn't show me anything. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE. read more

Called to get price on Alinement, was quoted $87 and about 45 minutes to an hour... took it down and came back in an hour. My car was up in the racks but when I went inside they told me it would now be $200 plus. I said I didn't want them to do the work, to much and not what was quoted. Left with my car and the back end was making weird noise. Took it to another place, who did Alinement for less than $100 and took care of the back end that making noise for no extra cost. I would NEVER recommend this place, and my mechanic who recommended them also was irritated and has stopped recommending them. read more

Unfortunately, I have to update my review since our second experience here was completely awful. Our AC was not fixed after the recharge, which honestly I suspected something else would need to be repaired in order to get it working properly. We made an appointment for 9 am last Saturday morning and they didn't even look at it until 45 minutes before they closed. Not sure what the point of having an appointment is if you're not going to abide by the appointment time. The guy who called said the part was on the way and he would try to get it completed. That didn't happen and they closed and had to keep our vehicle through the holiday weekend but promised it would be done first thing in the morning Tuesday when they opened. We heard nothing Tuesday morning so my husband called to see what was going on and was told that the part came in and they were waiting for tech to install it. A manager called a couple of hours later to say that the first person misspoke and they didn't even have the part. He apologized and said that he would be giving us a "Massive Discount" for their compete mishandling of the situation. They just finished the vehicle today, Wednesday, a whole 5 days past our Saturday morning appointment. When we went to pick it up, the "massive discount" was $40. On an almost $600 repair. I'm not sure in whose mind a less than 10% discount (7% to be exact) is "massive", but honestly that's an insult for the inconvenience caused not having our vehicle for 5 days. After installing new front-end parts. My specially-made disabled van (Ford E250) needed an alignment. A competitor failed even with two attempts. The servicemen at Brakes Plus from phone call, front desk to shop mechanic were really helpful just listening to and observing how my special steering equipment worked. This is the best auto mechanic I've been to in years, and I have been searching. I brought my car in to check on the engine oil. My car kept running low on oil and a different local shop kept telling me there were no leaks, and it must be something wrong with my engine. Finally I took my car into Angel on the recommendation of a friend. He checked it out and informed me that there was a drain plug that was not all the way tightened. He tightened the, plug, cleaned the engine, and did it all for free. The customer service at brakes plus is better than any I've ever seen. While they were looking at my car, I overheard Angel offering other customers rides. It's been a week and the problem has been resolved. My parents needed a brake job (I could hear the tell-tale alert-squeak one day as they left my house). I called around, and this place offered a good deal ($79.95 for fronts with a coupon) and it is close to their house. Spoke with Mike, and made appt. for next day. Went in with Dad, was greeted by Russ, and had inspection done. Turned out they needed rotors up front. I looked at them myself - and asked Russ what they spec'ed out at. He immediately said they measured .661, and minimum was .669 so they couldn't machine them. I had already looked up the spec online, and .669 is minimum, so I knew he hadn't pulled the number out of thin air to sell us something we didn't need. That instilled confidence. They ordered the parts necessary (also needed a couple seals in the rear) and drove us home to wait for them to finish. They came back a couple hours later and picked us up. Car was ready, and brakes seem good. No more squeaking! Total cost was as quoted, under $200 for both axles + the cost of the rotors, which was reasonable. Can't complain. Russ was friendly, joking, and attentive to everyone that stopped in the shop. No complaints here, but I just can't give 5 stars to ANY automotive service, its just the principle of the matter. :) Let's go with 4.5 stars. read more

Very disappointed, I took my car for an oil change which I regularly pay 38 dollars after tax. The man who helped me suggested I do semi synthetic I would only have to pay 15 dollar more than usual, I thought it sounded like a good deal so I went ahead and did that one. I get a call later to let me know my air filter is dirty , he said the filter would only be 9 dollars, another great deal so I told him to go for it. When I went to pick up my car after it was ready , the price was 88 dollars. Great service for many years on our cars, but always at an additional price. When told I didn't want the extras, they stuck with my original request. Recent coolant leak prompted service and shop forgot to replace coolant in radiator or not properly replacing the radiator cap causing a severe overheating situation. I was told they tested it in the shop for 45 minutes prior to me picking it up. NOT. I was there and less than 20 minutes from "just got to add fluid and you're ready." They tried to sell me services that were performed just a few months prior but backed down when they knew what I was talking about. Profanity in normal conversation by service manager was not welcomed either. read more
