    UPDATE: I spoke to Rich from Corporate today who was honestly a pleasure to talk to. He let me know that he did not condone this behavior and would be reprimanding the necessary people involved. I very much appreciate that Corporate and the store Manager both reached out to me to make this right. I'm glad that they have good management in place to handle situations like this seriously. Backstory: I took my car to my personal mechanic a few months ago because my car was shaking when braking at high speeds. They looked into it and said the wheel lug nuts had been over-torqued, gave me paperwork which included a technical service bulletin from Toyota about my car make and model, and said to take it to where I had my brakes done last (this Brakes Plus). I took my car in on this past Saturday because I could feel/hear my back brakes grinding and brought the paperwork in with me. When I was ready for checkout I asked if the mechanic had said anything about the paperwork I brought. Lorenzo* came out with a smirk and said, "that's not something that can happen." I asked why would she (my mechanic) tell me that then? To which he responded, "Oh, it was a woman?" I said, "Are you being serious?" He said she sounded like a newb that didn't know what she was talking about and continued to disparage female mechanics - in front of myself and a female coworker. I was a bit in disbelief and kept questioning if I was hearing him correctly? Never in my life have I been so offended and outraged. I am making it my own personal goal to make sure everyone I know hears this sexist story and never goes to Brakes Plus to see Lorenzo* ever again. The actual Technical Service Bulletin from Toyota is attached. I find the lack of know-how concerning considering the majority of their business is related to brakes/tires. We also reached out to a tech from Toyota, "When you have over torqued tires on aluminum wheels it blocks the heat in so it wears out the rotors and brakes faster because the heat can't escape. And it seems like it is a turn-over business. Are they doing that to every car, so they come back faster for brakes? Also not to mention the awful warranty that's provided." I had to get my brakes replaced after a little over a year and I work 15min from where I live. I will be taking my car to an honest mechanic that cares about my safety going forward. I hope you do too.

    Went here to get suspension work done on my Tesla. Overall the vibe was friendly and the mechanic…read morethey had look at my car seemed to be top notch. He was the reason I wanted to get the suspension serviced here as his explanation of what I needed done showed his mastery of his craft. However after taking the car to Tesla to get a 2nd opinion I discovered that this shop (not the tech) was trying to charge me literally a 200% markup on the parts to do the repair. Crazy right!!! The genuine Tesla parts for the repair were $209 and these guys quoted those same parts out to $614 (I sent him the estimate from Tesla with the exact cost of the parts). Unfortunately for me Tesla wouldn't work on the car because of an aftermarket body kit the previous owner had installed. I really liked the mechanic at this shop, so I went back to this shop with the intention to move forward even though their cost was literally 56% more ($1,635 vs $2,555) then Tesla for the same work (because of the price gouging on the parts). Then when I asked about it before my approval to move forward the manager got snarky and said how would you expect us to stay in business if we don't markup the parts. I said and I quote "I get a markup on the parts and your high hourly rate for the labor on the work but not a 200% markup on the parts." The guy gave an excuse about the software they use but was unwilling to budge on the price gouging. I literally said why don't you let me buy the parts directly from Tesla and you can still mark them up 25% and he still said no. I was completely professional throughout the conversation, but obviously would not pay a 200% markup on parts on top of the already top of market labor they charge. After the conversation he texted me back and we agreed to not move forward. I only leave this review to warn others. It's a bad business practice to over charge people like that and so I just wanted to give people my story warning them to watch out and be careful before doing any work here. Update: this slime ball's disclosure of all the information I gave his manager, Steve, in good faith is abhorrent. Everything he mentioned on the car was told to them right up front as I told it to the manager, Steve, in person and this clown is repeating word for word what I told his manager. I was cool with this at first but this guy is a complete scum bag now using my own words and lying about it. Anyways besides being a scum bag, no effort at all was made regarding the parts and this shops 200% markup. I literally told the guy running the shop I would buy the parts myself and let them mark it up 25% and still the answer was a quick no. Everything I said was honest and accurate and don't appreciate this guy claiming transparency when his long shpeel was essentially just a my own words complaining about the car I bought and his shops poor excuse for price gauging. They could have done the job without gauging me on the price given I had the option to buy the parts myself. Not cool at all the response from this guy and his piss poor excuse for attempting to rip me off.

Recently, I had a parasitic drain on a new battery in my 2018 Subaru Outback- Eric had a new tool and was able to locate the 2 blue relays in a metter of minutes. He removed them and when I ran out to see if my car would start the next morning, it did!! For me, it was a miracle. I called to share the good news and within an hour I had a call back to let me know the parts were in. GRATITUDE is what I feel. Yes, you can trust them!!
