I've been taking my vehicles to this Midas location since 2008 and have been working with Doug for about 18 years. There's a reason I've kept coming back for all these years -- they've always treated me right, been honest with me, and never tried to sell me something I didn't need. I went in for a $55 oil change and was there for nearly two hours. This same service typically takes about 20 minutes elsewhere. I was told my oil filter housing cap needed to be replaced at $85 because the previous shop had overtightened it and it would likely crack during removal. I specifically asked them to remove it while I watched. It came off smoothly and cleanly, with no cracking. I was then told it was "leaking" and had a "hairline crack." After they ordered the part they said it would be $80 to replace it. While waiting, I told them my husband felt that price was excessive and that we did not want it replaced. I was told it had already been done. Immediately afterward, they offered to reduce the price by $20. I requested the old part. Upon inspection, there was no crack -- hairline or otherwise. This experience felt like clear upselling and pressure tactics. The shifting price and sudden discount only added to my concern. I expect honesty and transparency when servicing my vehicle, and I did not receive it here. I cannot recommend this location. read more

This Midas location is great. We have taken our vehicles in for service several times and they have been very fair with prices. This last time they mentioned that our tires on our Jeep Wrangler were getting worn down. We asked for some prices to replace them and they gave us a few options that met our needs. We went ahead with the tires because the price was as good or better than competitors. We reccommend the Midas on Smokey Hill and Buckley highly. read more

I absolutely love this location! I have been going here since 2012, even had them do inspections before purchasing from a person not dealership. Always trust them to give me reliable information, and they have at times matched a pricing if it was reasonable for a repair quoted by another shop when money was tight.... Got to Midas at 9:40 for a 1-2-hour repair and at 12 they informed me they ordered the wrong part... After another hour passed the repair was done but for whatever reason my quote of $1,100 from the previous day was raised to $1,200. I spoke with the same gentleman both days and he gave me the "it is what it is." On top of everything else, when I got back to Midas (16768 E Smoky Hill Rd, Centennial, CO 80015) 40 minutes after the repair was finished, I found my car was sitting in the parking lot with the passenger side window wide open. I was referred to this repair shop because I had an issue with my vehicle and I had been unhappy with the service & prices paid at another repair shop that specialized in German made autos. I was skeptical if Micah and his team of mechanics would be able to address issues that came up. This Midas is so awesome! I took my car in for a factory recall at Chrysler and they informed me I needed new brakes at the tune of about $680.00. It seemed steep, so I took it to this Midas, which has more reasonable prices. I let them know I just needed new brakes and dropped my car off. 30 minutes later, I get a phone call. Of course I expected them to say "your brakes are done" but also the typical " but also this needs done, this needs done etc." Nope. They called to tell me that my brakes were fine and I could get at least a good 10k miles on them before I needed to consider checking again. They could have just changed my brakes and made an easy buck off of me, I was just prepared to get them done and shell out the $$, but nope. They did the right thing and that is so rare and refreshing. So impressed with them, would give more than 5 stars if I could. Wonderful experience read more

If I could rate 0 stars I absolutely would! The service was not very great as "Fred" the assistant manager was a very arrogant man. Not only were the people on that shift very rude the actually work done to my car was a complete mess. I simply went in to get a glass pack muffler installed and very explicitly stated not to touch any of the exhaust in front of where I wanted it mounted because it would interfere with my catalytic converter. I caught a glimpse of the technician welding a flange on the end of exactly what I said not to be touched. There was no communication or conversation about doing that work which easily added an hour to the labor time. The exhaust is now actively leaking and the tip was not welded straight. After asking for them politely to fix my work they were rude and hung up on me. NEVER GO TO THIS MIDAS THEY SUCK!!!! read more

DONT TRUST THEM!!! Told me water pump was leaking charged me $30 for a test and came back that is was leaking wanted $700 to change it and also $650 to change my spark plugs. Took my car to a Subaru dealership service center no leak in water pump what so ever and also only want $500 to change my spark plugs. They are over priced and also say something is broken when it's not!!! They are trying to get more money out of you don't go to Midas they are horrible!!! read more

I took my car in for an oil change yesterday before closing time. The service department employee greeted me by first name as soon as I walked in. I set an appointment a few days earlier. The estimated time I was given to change my oil and rotate tires was very accurate. The service department employee also complimented me on the condition of my car which is something one rarely hears at an oil change place or automotive repair shop. Usually the negatives about one's car is used to sell more services (usually unnecessary) and parts. I was so impressed with the professionalism of this place and the reasonable price (coupon used) for an oil change and tires rotation. I highly recommend it and will be back again for more oil changes along with services. read more

I purchased a muffler online and called Midas to find out how much they would charge me to install it. They quoted me from $150. While I was in the shop there were two service writers at the counter making jokes, and being very unprofessional. They were telling me they're going to charge me extra because I wasn't a Green Bay Packer fan. They gave me a blank invoice to sign and told me they will look at my vehicle & let me know how much they're going to charge. After checking it the service writer told me that it was going to be $300 and it was going to take some additional parts and some time to complete. About 45 minutes later the shop called to let me know my truck was done. I inspected my vehicle when picking it up and found that no additional parts were used. The entire service also only took 45 minutes. I'm just curious is that your labor rate; $300 an hour?? I've never heard of a shop charging $300 an hour to work on a vehicle where the customer brought their own parts! I will never do business at this shop again. read more

Horible!!! If i could give a negitive star i would..Went to get an oil change . Over priced .was told they had a hard time getting my oil filter changed on my 2017 jeep grand Cherokee. Drove around one day after smelled something burning. Took the car back they said the seal broke .reinstalled new filter . Next day oil leaking everwhere under my car. Took my car to the dealer ship they said my oil pan was cracked. What a coincidence...cost me $100 for oil change at midas $51 for rental car while in shop at dealership and 2 lift rides to get to and from car rental place . I had taken it into this particular shop because it was close to home and I had a recommendation it's kind of disheartening to find out that they didn't burp the system or flush it and they installed a defective thermostat upside down I'll be droppingBy later this afternoon to pick up the phone number of the district manager I think paying $600 for this service is crap when another shop did it correctly and charged me less than 400 read more

When I was contacted by the store I was told that I needed two exhaust pipe hangers replaced, which I knew. The person told me that it would be $59.99 for the hangers and $15 for labor. I was incredulous. Surely there is a warranty for the exhaust pipe, related parts and the muffler? I asked why I was being charged for the parts and I was told, "The hangers were old and they wear out over time." When I took my truck in for the exhaust pipe and the new muffler, THERE WAS NOTHING THERE. NO HANGERS. NO EXHAUST PIPE. NO MUFFLER. I had tried to salvage the old system after if had fallen off once, by using metal strapping and a u-bolt type hanger. There were no existing hangers when I brought my truck to Midas. I was lied to. Then, when I went to the store to pick up my truck (I told the store rep I did not want the service done), I challenged the rep on his statement that "the old hangers wore out" and he changed his story. Now he said that if he had the hangers in stock he would just have them thrown on. But, because they did not have them in stock, they would have to be ordered. And because they had to be ordered I would have to pay for them. Before I left I asked the rep if that was his final answer (since he had already changed once I figured he had the discretion to make it right). Finally, I suggested that they don't leave vehicles parked in the adjacent shopping center parking lot unlocked. Yes, the icing on this wonderful (not) customer service experience is that my truck was sitting in a parking lot (not the Midas parking lot) unlocked. So my questions for Midas are: Is it company policy to lie to customers? Do you not backup your parts and your work? Is it policy that if a part like a cheap rubber hanger has to be ordered the customer has to pay for it, but if it is in stock there is no charge? Is it really worth ruining a relationship with a customer to make a few bucks? Is it worth pissing someone off when they have access to Yelp, Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.? I went to the Midas on Smoky Hill and Buckley today. I had an 11:00 appointment to weld my heat shield back into place as it was making a really loud rattle. They got me in on time, and out extremely fast. Plus...they would not charge me for the repair. Therefore I'm going back next week for an oil change! Ran over a nail or screw and drove straight to the first tire shop I saw (not Midas) where I was waved into the bay by one of the workers. As I was walking toward the store/office area another worker pretty much yelled at me for pulling in saying they had 30 cars in front of me and I couldn't just jump in front of them. I told him his worker waved me in but he was very rude, as well as the person in their office. Of course I decided to look for another shop and found that this Midas was across the street. They got me in fast, were extremely courteous (Micah is awesome), and now have a happy customer. Definitely recommend this place! read more

I have been having trouble with occasional overheating. I have flushed the radiator twice. replaced the cap and overflow tank. Replaced the thermostat. And still have trouble with overheating. The car was toed to the 16708 Iliff store. They said it was a leaking hose and brang out my hose after what looks like it was run over a grinder. I know there were no leaks as the car has been over cardboard in the garage for the last week while i did the flushes and other work. It was the lower hose from my car however it was not heavily damaged (literally looks like they ran the ends over a grinder) before it was in this shop. So they replaced the hose and said it was fixed. Within a mile of leaving the shop it overheated again. I called Midus and reached the 16768 east smoky hill location. They had the car toed there. Said the upper hose has a leak. Again there was no leak before the car was in the midus shop. Today when i left the shop the car overheated again within a couple of miles. So now i am out $300 with the same exact problem as before except now they have cause another leak somewhere in the engine. All this and they kept trying to sell me on spark plugs and other things besides what my problem was for. Initially tried to give me a $700 bill with all kinds of unneeded extras like spark plugs and a second new radiator cap. read more

I have been here twice and I am never disappointed. I just bought a car and they were able to check the car to make sure it was good with no charge, how awesome is that. I then come back to get an oil change and it is done within 30 mins and recommend what I should do but not at all do they pressure me. I am glad I found a shop that thinks about their costumers. This place just plain sucks. I took my car here a few months ago for an oil change and one of the employees was literally trying to fight a customer. I let it go assuming maybe everyone was just having a bad day. Fast forward to today I decided to use them again because they mailed me a coupon for a $24.95 synthetic blend oil change. I dropped my car off in the morning and told them I would be back after work to pick it up. I also asked them to lock it when they were done since it would be sitting outside all day. Of course they didn't. From the time I got there the guy was trying to upswell me from a $25 oil change to a $150 service "because of miles" little did they know or care that I had done my 150k service which already covered the same things. Fast forward an hour or so they call me saying that the drain plug was cross threaded from the last oil change. Well what do you know these same morons did my last oil change which I told them but all of a sudden they had "no record" of my car being there. B.S. I told them that they need to figure it out since they are the ones who cross threaded it to begin with. Fast forward another half hour the same guy calls again with a whole list of repairs my car needs even though a couple months ago NONE of these were needed when they did the same inspection. When I told them I just wanted the oil change and none of the BS that they were trying to sell me, the guy started laughing at me!!!! So this afternoon when I go to pick my car up that guy isn't there but the BS continued. When I showed them the coupon for the $24.95 oil change that I requested this morning and they knew about, he says oh well the best I can do is $10 off. When I pointed right at the coupon he said oh well you signed for $80 bucks this morning. I told him the guy said he would apply the coupon later. Oh well we still can't do that and you already signed this so I will take $20 off. I again asked why I couldn't get the price that was literally right there on the coupon. "Oh well your car requires full synthetic oil" which it doesn't as I even checked the owners manual. After going back and forth I just ended up paying more so I could get out of this place. AVOID this place at all costs and don't fall for the coupons they send as they do this do get you in to try to upsell you and scare you into spending hundreds more. read more

Very impressed with the service I received at this location. I came in for an oil change and the technicians found several issues with my car. They were patient when explaining them to me and were honest and genuine when I asked if some things could wait to be repaired. They were not pushy whatsoever, and I was extremely satisfied with the service I received. The employees were very nice, fast, knowledgable and honest (all things you want from a great car shop). A little background. I have been using these people for 15+ years. I had my wifes car taken in on a tuesday. Oil light and air bag light had come on. She proceeded to tell me that its time for oil change. ok.....no problem. Take it up to Midas and have them change the oil and check the air bag light. She then told me before we left that the one tire on right front is very low.....ok they do an inspection and will fill the tire. They proceed to tell me about a few items wrong with car....yes I understand a 2004 car has problems but I don't need everything fixed cause we need it to last only 2 more months. Make an appt for Saturday for serpentine belts to be replaced. Gotta have those done cause if one breaks car doesn't go. Pick up car and find out that they did nothing with tire. Inspection report says all tires inflated to specs. Go to 7-11 and fill tire. Wife runs to work. Saturday drop off car for serpentine belt replacement. Everything is good. Wife drives car to work which is 3 miles away for the next couple of days. She calls me in panic on Monday had to drive 10+ miles the car is broken down. Whats wrong? Car won't start and just died. Ok call tow truck and have them take it to Midas. Get call the next morning about a part that is 65.00 is going to cost me 600$. Need to remove all these things to get to it. Yeah, I don't think so I have replaced the coolant valve before, it takes 30 minutes and don't need to remove everything they said. No thanks, I will pick it up shortly. He shows me the problem which I already know and drive the car home. After further looking at the car when I take it home and start replacing the part I am curious as to how said valve got broken like that. I have no proof but think they broke it when replacing serpentine belts. Well wouldn't the car have overheated when she drove it? No, only a few miles away and the coolant was leaking until she drove further. 65.00$ part replaced in 30 minutes...saved 600!!!! Will never take my vehicles to this place again. Lost all trust in them. Midas you have lost my confidence!! read more

As a woman, I have had several issues with car shops trying to tell me extra things that need to be done on my car that were not necessary just to get more money out of me. But NOT here!! I always find the best deal going to this shop and I am always happy leaving here knowing I can trust the people working on my car. I make the extra trip to go to this location because it isn't the closest to me but it's worth it! Even if I move out of Aurora, I will probably still take my car here. This shop has the best staff and manager around. I have driven from Arvada to this location on several occasions to have my oil changed rather than the 10 minute drive to the Jiffy Lube down the street from my home. My car is always left cleaner than it was when it got there and I have never had a negative thing to say about any of my visits to this location. I thought I could trust a Midas shop....just not this one! One month my battery needs to be replaced, the next month they say its fine. No I did not replace it. Told me my back tires were 7/10 worn....funny? Just had new tires put on. Took them back to the shop I bought the tires from, they remeasured them for me. Midas measured on the rod in the tires. Then, my brake fluid was at 57 (no clue except it could be 0-200). Again took it back to the shop that just changed it, and their test showed 0. Not sure if the technician didn't know what they were doing, or if they were just trying to take advantage of a woman, either way, I won't ever trust my cars to them again. Bad news at Midas, Took my truck in for a side window repair and it took 3 times to get it right. A lack of attention to detail was obvious. Check their pricing structure---they will drastically overcharge on parts and then call it an industry standard practice. I paid thirty something dollars for a ten dollar thermostat. Had some front end work done on my truck and the alignment was off. They fixed it thankfully. I learned my lesson .......if you want it done right and reasonably priced you can do better. read more
