After my previous plans for a PPI fell through (their business became literally unreachable!) and with the return window on the car I had just purchased expiring later in the day, I panicked and called about 5 other stores until I found Pride Auto Care who were able to squeeze me in during the afternoon. They paid for my Lyft back home while they ran through the PPI. Unfortunately their systems were down, so they comped the entire cost of the PPI, but still took time out of their day to bring me to the back and show me the car on the lift, talk through what they looked at, and answer any questions I had. What turned into a stressful morning became a smooth afternoon thanks to Pride Auto Care, I could not have asked for a better experience. I took my truck in for issues with the engine light and the auto start/stop feature. I worked with Jenna, who was very nice and professional. They charged me around $2,300 to change all the spark plugs and one ignition coil. I got my truck back about two days later than I was initially told. Unfortunately, the same problem resurfaced. I took it back to them, and they claimed there was no issue. However, as soon as I left their shop, the problems reappeared. I contacted them again, and they asked me to bring the truck back for a closer look. When I returned, I encountered two rude employees who were quite condescending. They raised their voices on more than one occasion and refused to even inspect the vehicle. Instead, they asked me to come back another day to change all the coils, without reassuring me that this would resolve the issues. I am definitely not returning to a place like this, as they lack professionalism and treat customers poorly. I feel like I have wasted a lot of time and money on this experience. 1- bought 4 new tires in Dec 2022 from Pride with warranty ($1000) 2-paid for all regular maintenance on schedule at Pride. Tires were removed multiple times for inspections and never rotated 3 - got a flat tire, towed to pride - because of warranty and tires being only 18 m old 4 - could not honor warranty due to their own technicians neglecting to rotate tires at all in past 18 months and also because of that, all 4 tires were worn differently and enough to need a replacement. 5- Pride could not even replace tires that day or next day due to unavailability of stock 6- had to tow my car a second time to discount tire ($200) and have all 4 tires replaced ($900) where they also told me the tire size that Pride originally installed was the INCORRECT size for the model and that is another factor to extreme wear. Total cost to me: $2,100 Pride employee called today to inform me nothing can be done. Will not return and will be sure to spread the word about the care you and your car receive at Pride. read more

I would not recommend Pride Autocare to anyone for any reason. We had a bad head gasket that needed replaced, but instead the technician diagnosed the problem as a faulty spark plug. After they insisted the spark plug replacement, the problems persisted, and they agreed to do the head gasket replacement. Days later the vehicle was still overheating. We brought the vehicle to the Broadway location (just as bad) and the technician there said all we needed was a new water pump. The vehicle never needed a water pump. The repair that was done on the head gasket was done poorly and failed. After taking the vehicle to a third party for a second head gasket replacement, my car runs good as new. If you don't want proper diagnoses, and can live without your car for weeks at a time, call Pride Auto! read more

I have used Pride several times in the past, for oil changes and repairs. My car overheated so I had it towed to pride. They said they would do a free visual inspection and then move to diagnostics if needed. They called and said they would need to run diagnostics which I ok'd. Then they called and said they would have to replace the water pump assembly at ~ $2200. So I called and found a credible place that would do it for $1200. I paid Pride $100 for the diagnostic and had it towed. The next place sent me a video of a broken hose pumping coolant straight up. They repaired the busted hose for $250. Moral of the story? The supposed visual inspection was either not done, or not done honestly. The top of the engine was covered in coolant and pumping it straight up, impossible to miss. And then the supposed need for a $2200 repair? Also not done correctly or honestly. I'm done w/ this place and I'm pursuing a refund for the diagnostic. read more

Pride inspected the front tire on my wifes car and wrote in the service report that the lug nuts and studs were good but the nuts needed to tightened. They did this for free. Following week I took the car to them for the 115k inspection and they said the nuts and studs needed to be replaced at a cost of $290. They said the person who did the first inspection must not have been thorough. Good to know but I lost my trust in them. They also did not want to honor the coupon from their local website and I was forced to talk to the manager to get it applied. Too bad, they used to be great. read more

Do NOT go here. They were tell you all kinds of things are wrong with your car even if there isn't and do everything to up charge you. I came in because I needed to pass an emissions test (I had a check engine light on) and an out headlight. I gave them the approval to repair the headlight and do a diagnostic to figure out how to get my car to pass an emissions test. They repaired my taillights, high beams and NOT the headlight I asked them to. There was nothing wrong with the other lights, they just thought I wouldn't notice. The only upside is that the manager refunded me the charge for this when I complained. Then they tried to tell me that there was something wrong with my engine that was preventing me from passing my emissions test. They wanted me to shell out $1,500 which I couldn't afford. I ended up going to another shop and they told me the problem Pride Auto Care said I had had NOTHING to do with passing an emissions test. Even worse, when I had the other shop check ti make repairs they said my engine WAS FINE and didn't have ANY issues. read more

Pride in Lonetree has been the best mechanic I've gone to. As a gal I get taken advantage of a lot when it comes to car issues. These guys have never steered me wrong. Had an issue losing power in the mountains and when I got back they ran a full diagnostic. Could only find an issue with the transmission fluid, so only charged me for that replacement not the the diagnostic (car was vapor locked). Never paid for anything that wasn't wrong with it and they Uber you to and from work. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasant experience many other customers have had. I was informed that my alternator would take 3 hours and be finished at 5 o'clock. When I arrived before closing, they mentioned that the old alternator was still in the vehicle and needing work. I decided to wait for my car to be finished because they requoted an 1 and 1/2 for the job. Upon checkout, they reverted to the 3 hour quote, despite the job taking 1.5 hours. I paid for 3 hours when the job was half the time. I should mention that I have never written a negative review. I know how important reviews are to local businesses. However, I feel misled and deceived. A staff member, informed me that they will charge the full quote regardless of how long the job takes... The team failed to make things right. I'd recommend being present at the auto shop so you aren't being taken advantage of. read more

I have been a customer of Price for more than 10 years. They have been an amazing resource and extremely good at their job. With older cars with some quirks, it is not always easy to determine what's going on. Pride does the research and is always friendly and helpful. Kermit is amazing! I stopped by their place last Thursday, explained what kind break issue I run into (the steering wheel shakes when I give a break), set up the appointment on Monday to let them check out and fix it. I dropped my car on Monday at 8 am. They said that they will check out the detail reason and then give me a call. Until 4 pm they didn't call. Called them, it looks like they haven't checked out my car yet. I called them again at 4:30 but it is kind too late to do anything. They had my car for a whole day, but didn't do anything. Also, they told me that I will need to replace all 4 rotors. That will cost me about $600. Later I brought my car to another place, they did a resurface and I only need to pay $300. read more

I had a great experience with Pride Auto Care. My car decided it no longer wanted to start, so I needed to tow it to a body shop. Pride Auto was relatively close to my work and had great reviews. Their hours are until 6pm but they stayed open until the tow truck showed up, they found out the problem with my car, fixed it and I had it back by the next day. The final price was actually less than the original quote given (unheard of). I will definitely come back here the next time my Civic is giving me trouble. This review is long overdue. I found Pride Auto Care through Yelp a few years ago when I needed to get a quick fix done (this was also right after my car had just left a mechanic shop 2 days earlier and was not caught during a check up). I have been taking both my 2001 Civic and my 2009 Rav-4 to Pride for the past three years and have not had one bad experience in the multiple times I have been there. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I have never felt taken advantage of when it comes to my cars and being female. First, the front counter & waiting area is clean & tidy - something a little rare with repair shops. Second, the staff were very helpful, listened intently to my descriptions, said how how long the diagnostics & estimate would take to put together, & even gave me a ride to work! Next came the repairs. They gave me a cost estimate, said how long it would take, & they beat both. Yes, under-promise & over-deliver from an auto repair shop - how novel! I originally went here for my husband's truck, it needed a starter and a timing belt. They treated us so well, they didn't fix anything other than what needed to be done. We had asked to have another part replaced and we told them that and later they told us that they didn't replace it because the other one was still great and didn't need to be switched out. The price was right and the service was friendly. Today I went in (it's a 45 minute drive, but worth it I thought, for their service) and the got to me right away. They had to replace my air conditioner blower fan, they charged $60 for diagnostics (even though I told them what was wrong) and then it was $268 total for everything. I thought that was a lot, so I called the Honda dealership and they told me that they charge $220 out the door for the same service. I told Pride this but they didn't seem to care, I didn't want to argue, it was my own fault for not calling around before committing. The guys are nice and they are honest, it's a good overall service and you support local business. read more

For the 3rd time in 4 years Pride Auto says my AC compressor needs to be replaced and quoted me $1100 for the job. No warranty coverage from manufacturer or Pride. This is also after paying them to replace every single part of the AC system, hoses, gaskets, o-rings etc at least once and some twice because of the compressor ruining other parts when it disintegrates, so they say. This is a back-up car that isn't even daily driven, I only put a few thousand on it a year, I guarantee I got less than 10 hours of service from each of the previous 2 repairs before blowing up. Something really stinks here, they are either using off-market parts, parts not meant for the car, and/or have really careless techs doing the work. I've given them multiple chances because they are so conveniently located to me, but the work is average at their very best, they don't stand behind it, and they aren't exactly cheap either. Save yourself the hassle and money and go somewhere else. I wouldn't trust them with anything more than the most basic of maintenance. I let them rotate my tires and replace the bulb on a taillight and got the heck out of there. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Fool me three times...no. read more

I have brought my vehicle here twice for work that was quoted way too high at the dealership. And I will never return to the dealership again because these guys are great!! They never make me feel like a stupid girl who doesn't know anything about cars (i.e. they don't talk down to me), and are just super polite and nice guys. This last time I brought my vehicle in for an issue with my passenger door lock. First, I had to wait a bit when I got there to pick it up because apparently the first fix they did wasn't to their liking (the door lock was still grinding), so they apologized for making me wait as they replaced the replacement. I have no problem waiting for the best fix! And their waiting area has a fridge full of water and was tidy. Then, after I was all checked out (15%off one service with Yelp check in!) and went to get in my vehicle to drive home I noticed some grease stains on the front seat, I promptly walked back in to express my displeasure. The gentleman helping me was quick to offer help and came out to my car with some kind of solution that took the stains right out. I was soooo relieved! My car is older but we take pretty darn good car of it to keep it looking good. He had me out of there quickly, no harm no foul! Prices are fair. Service is excellent. The gentlemen at Pride Auto Care are the most honest and straightforward mechanics I've ever dealt with. I took my SUV in for an issue and they let me know that it might have qualified for a Nissan recall, which was great news. They could have easily ignored the possible recall and I would have never known, so I really appreciated their honesty. Once they contacted Nissan on my behalf they found out the recall service had been performed, but the fact they let me know about it in the first place was really appreciated. Pride replaced the part Nissan had already replaced and I was able to still save on the cost of repairs because Nissan would have charged me more just to look at my car. First of all, everyone who works here is so friendly. I ended up without transportation to work due to break issues. Pride was fantastic as always! Dropped my car off in the AM and they had it diagnosed in no time. They also let me know about a couple of other things that were wrong with my car that I hadn't even mentioned. They texted me the info for the necessary work. I quickly and easily approved the things I wanted them to fix. My car was done after lunch, same day. Feeling vulnerable and suspicious of my fellow human beings, the folks at Pride made me feel at ease by way of their unwavering competence, plain language, and friendliness. Since I work right up the street from them, they even gave me a ride to work so they could take care of my car without inconveniencing me. After being jerked around by other places, the folks at Pride had my car in working condition that same day (funny how they seemed to get the part I needed without a problem, while the other mechanic was ready to make me wait days to get it) and I was on my way.
