I had high hopes for Brand Surgical Center, especially since I had trusted them with my body once before. But after this experience, never again. I underwent a breast implant + lift surgery with Dr. Angel Gomez-Garcia following a major weight loss, a weight loss procedure that was also done at Brand with a different doctor, so he was fully aware of my medical history and the condition of my skin and tissue. From the beginning, I was uneasy. During the consultation process, you primarily deal with nurses and staff, barely the doctor himself. Dr. Garcia only gave me a few minutes of his time for a quick evaluation, and then I never saw him again until the day of the surgery. There was no chance to build any kind of relationship or real trust with my surgeon. Just three months post-op, I requested a consultation because I had growing concerns about the results. Brand does not care about checking in on your recovery after they've been paid. At this visit, I was told by Dr. Garcia that my implants were being rejected by my body and that scar tissue was forming and hardening around them. He said they were encapsulated and needed to be urgently addressed. That was a complete lie. I have since consulted with multiple, far more reputable surgeons who all told me the real issue is what's called "double bubble." This occurs when implants are not placed in proper alignment with the lower breast tissue, and is very common in patients who've experienced extreme weight loss--which Dr. Garcia knew. I've been told this all could have been prevented with a standard technique: inserting a mesh to support the implant. These surgeons told me that using mesh in my case should have been common sense. But it was never done. Now, my implants have literally slid into my stomach. Yes, you read that right, my breast implants have migrated downward due to the lack of internal support. On top of that, there's an unnatural amount of space between my breasts, leaving me with absolutely no cleavage the ONE thing I made very clear to Dr. Garcia was most important to me. My nipples are now two completely different shapes, one oval, one circular. They tried to rush me into scheduling a revision procedure with them at full cost and zero sympathy. The only thing they offered to refund was the price of the implants themselves, which are insured through a completely separate company. They told me the revision needed to happen within the next three months "for my health," yet also had the audacity to say the same issue could happen again. They offered no alternative plan, no preventative solution --nothing, leaving me spiraling and in complete emotional distress over what the hell I could do. To me, it felt like Dr. Garcia realized where he messed up and was scrambling to fix it before I caught on while also trying to squeeze another few grand out of me in the process. Every time I tried to book a consultation with him (not a nurse) post op to discuss my growing concerns with my breasts appearance, he was "on vacation." I can only assume he was enjoying life with the money I had worked tirelessly to save as a 20-year-old student working two jobs just to afford this surgery. If you truly value your body and well-being, please do what I should have done: spend the extra couple thousand dollars and find a surgeon in Beverly Hills or someone with real expertise and ethics. My mother in law had a head on auto collision and really suffered with disc issues, the attorney had sent her to a doctor that wanted to replace 3 discs and was 60 miles from her house, I found this place by accident and not only did they get her the Dr. Melamed, who is a brilliant and well known surgeon and he did an amazing surgery plus determined she did not need as many discs replaced. The girls at the facility were amazing, clean, high end and super accessible, honestly she felt so good going home and the aftercare was amazing. read more

I recently underwent surgery at Brand Surgical Institute and cannot say enough good things about my experience. My journey started with a consultation with their surgery consultant, Maritza, in which I shared that I was interested in a breast lift and breast aug. Maritza talked me through my options and I shared with her that I was also interested in lipo / bbl down the line. She gave me info on all of the procedures and I figured since I was already going under general anesthesia for breast lift/aug, I may as well get it all done at once. After my initial consult, I then went back to meet with the plastic surgeon, Dr. Gomez, and expressed my concerns about plastic surgery, showed him the areas I wanted fixed/enhanced, and asked A LOT of questions. Dr. Gómez was patient with me, answered all of my questions, and helped me feel confident about the decision I was making. One week before surgery, I met with Maritza and Dr. Gomez again, so that he could size me and he answered more questions that I had. (I'm not an easy person to deal with and ask A LOT of questions, but Dr. Gomez and Maritza were both very patient with me and answered my questions with a smile on their face--I appreciate that.) The day before surgery, the RN Krystal, called me to make sure I had everything I needed for post-op (faja, prescription, after care, transportation, etc.) and she was the first person to receive me on surgery day. Thanks to their welcoming and attentive staff, I felt very comfortable throughout surgery day, I was not nervous at all! I met with Dr. Gomez one last time and he explained everything that he would be doing in surgery and of course, I ASKED MORE QUESTIONS, which he was happy to answer. :) I'm still recovering from surgery, have been back to Brand Surgical for my post-op appt with Dr. Gomez and lymphatic massages with Maritza (she has miracle hands). Maritza checks up on me regularly to make sure I'm doing okay and answers my texts right away whenever I have a question. I waited over an HOUR to see the Dr. And when I finally got in the room I waited an extra 20 for the bald Dr. to come in and "see me" I kid you not, the interaction was less than 2minutes. I had gotten into a car accident and was in crutches I couldn't even sit from the pain I was in. He was supposed to be an Orthopedic "Dr." He used excessive force and hurt me even more to the point he made be cry. He didn't even prescribe me any medication he just went in, man handled me hurt me even more & said "oh yea you're definitely injured." Like ?? Yea OBVIOUSLY. I really don't know how this company has 4 stars!! Worst experience ever. Please do NOT go here for any surgical procedures. I had a breast augmentation done here and it was botched. They look horrible and it's not my body rejecting them. I already had them looked at. The doctor did a terrible job and left me a horrific scar on my right breast. I trusted him, when he told me that his best work was through the nipple. Even though I had asked him to go under my breast, he convinced me to go through the nipple. Worst mistake ever! When I went back to have them redo them they want me to pay double the price I paid. I begged Maritza to work with me. Emailed her for weeks. Told her I think it's fair if they charge even half. The worst medical experience of my life. I was consistemtly given incorrect information. Started with being told to get my pre opt prior to making an appointment. Wrong. Took me four months to get on the schedule for my cataract surgery. So got another pre op. Wasn't told to get my eye measured by an eye doctor so when arriving for my appointment time I had to wait an additional four hours. It's a factory. I went the next day to my check up. Eye doc said eveerything looked good. Went back nn a week and I complained that something was off? Again he said eye looks good. Same exact thing at my three week check up even though I still complained I didn't see that well. Next week ended up at urgent care with a migraine behind the same eye. She suggested I immediately go back to the eye doctor. This is all through specialty eye care. I went back and saw a different doctor but again was told everything with my eye was fine. Because the pain didn't completely go away, I wen back and saw a third eye doctor, Finally he had a diagnosis. Sometimes a film is left behind the lens and now I need laser but he said wait until you get your left eye done. My appointment was Nov 22. When the appointment was made I said to them: It the dy before Thanksgiving, are you sure? Yes I was told. I called another two times to make sure I was on the schedule. Yes they reassured me. I got my pre opt and then they called an canceled on me!! Can't get me in until Jan 10th. I'll have new insurance I told them. No problem, we'll call and confirm for you. I called another two times and was promised both times I would get a call from the person who handles insurance. I never did so I called again before my pre opt and was told they cancelled my surgery That I have to call!!!! Horrible horrible horrible!!!! They do not care on any level. read more

Celina made sure that all of my paperwork and test were done in a timely manor prior to my surgery. My nurse Crystal had the BEST bedside manor that I have seen in a nurse in a very long time. Now about Dr Moeinolmolk, I can't believe how compassionate this doctor is. You can definitely tell that he loves what he do and he is not just in his field for the money. He follows up with personal phone calls and even though I know he has hundreds of patients, I still feel as if he's my OWN doctor. I'm not just a patient record, his service and care feel personalized. His memory is astounding. When I first met him, he's concerns were my health and fought for me with my insurance company. Hour before my appointment, I get a call asking if I'm free to do my follow up with the doctor over the phone. I say that I have an appointment in an hour for that so do I still need to come in or just wait to do it over the phone and they paused and had to check for my appointment and then said ya ok come in. (I made this appt a week in advance and was not given an over the phone option from the beginning) That was the first red flag. Appointment was at 3, I get there at 2:55, check in and have a seat. Now I'm not expecting to be seen at exactly 3... I'm guessing it'll take maybe 15-20 minutes before I'm seen.. no problem. 30 minutes roll by and nothing. Ok fine I get it, it can get busy at times. Then an hour rolls by... still nothing. From across the room this couple is also getting frustrated because they have been waiting a long time and they have a baby with them. When they asked how much longer, the front desk said "they will see you soon". Keep in mind they haven't looked up from their computers or anything to see who's still in the waiting room and for how long. These poor people have been waiting much longer than me so I waited it out. I figured I would get the same answer. During this time other people are coming in, being seen, and I started to get annoyed. I'm a patient, yet shy person and I know what it's like when things get busy but an hour and still nothing? After an hour and a half of sitting, waiting, and seeing the most recent person who checked in literally 5 minutes ago go get called to be seen, I got up and headed to the front desk to see what the heck is going on. The second I get up and go there, they tell me one sec and go talk to the doctor and magically it was my turn.... This 'follow up' took I kid you not, 5 minutes... No apology for the wait, no proper greeting from doc, it honestly felt like I was inconveniencing THEM. You can tell I wanted this follow up to be over and once we finished they said "ok go on ur free now" to which I just stayed silent and left. I'm sure they wouldn't have liked to wait an hour and a half for this either but ok. Will not return. read more
