Hey this is a small-town diner. If you're looking for fine dining keep rolling. The food here is good! Solid and delicious. What made it special for my wife and I was our waitress! Super cute and friendly and helpful. She obviously had been doing this for a while which is pretty good since she's only 17? (I did not ask) I did find out she's on her way to University with a good plan on what she wants to do Best of Luck The food was good, served hot and fast and delicious. My fav meal anytime is Breakfast. Breakfast for lunch or dinner or anytime. And they had a good one. Bacon and eggs and pancakes were all good. The busiest breakfast spot in Wise County everyday. But we tried it for lunch wanting a simple, great tasting lunch instead of some of the places we normally go to. It was one hour before closing but when we walked in the door, we were greeted with a nice hello from three employees. Sat down at a worn, but clean table, and was approached by the server immediately to take our drink order. Nice specials board on the wall and a simple two-sided menu made finding what we wanted easy and fast. Brought our drinks in about one minute, took our order and went to give it to the kitchen. Looked around a bit and noticed many chairs were worn and all the tables have been heavily used but everything was clean and orderly. I realized the heavy usage is the morning rush from Farmers, Ranchers, Businessmen, and others, is why everything is worn and appreciated it's a badge of honor in that people love the food and spend their money to wear it out. A simple side salad came out, tasted great and 5 minutes later our entrees came out. Both of us had the Chicken Fried Steak; one with mashed potatoes and one with fries. Simple presentation for a complex flavor profile in the breading, great gravy and a hearty serving of mash with a soft roll. The French fries appeared to be hand cut, tasted great and were nice and crispy. The breading was light and very crispy, giving it real hearty dish a delicate mix of flavors with a nice crispy crunch! Service was excellent; we were checked on regularly, but not overbearingly, by the server and the manager. All in all, we found a very nice meal, clean cafe, and great service in the little town of Bridgeport. This would have been a 5-star rating but subtracted 1-star for the worn chairs, even though they were earned the hard way. read more

I don't know if it's the original or not, but this place is super hard to beat. In a very traditional greasy spoon type, except everything is clean. The wait staff is attractive, and always have a smile on their face! These are the best waitresses in the county... and I mean they MOVE! Yes, it's breakfast, and yes you'd think it's simply... but many places get it wrong! Brandi has done an excellent job training her staff at all of her locations! It's always full, the meals are always right and made to order, the food comes out quick, and the staff is always super pleasant! In my book, it's an easy combination to figure out (which Brandi has), but almost every restaurant in Wise County struggles with (except Brandi's other restaurants, which also thrive!). 5 Stars, just like the owner's smile! read more

Came here to visit a friend, was pleasantly surprised, I love to support mom/pop places, and it did not disappoint. Customer service was what to be expected, somewhat friendly someone country, but was efficiently taken care of even by the 2nd server because the 1st had asked me to cash out so she can leave......Younger generation, the food was pretty darn good w/ the exception of the Grits, not sure what was up with that, but over all pretty good. Loved seeing the locals old/young coming in and just living it up. No phones, just conversation and good company. read more

Friendly small spot. We stopped in after church and the place was almost full but no wait. Which, in my book, is great! My husband and I both ordered the cowboy breakfast. My older son ordered the southwest salad. My youngest ordered a burger. Th burger looked really nice and I was told it was good. We're weren't given a kids meal but the burger and tots seemed to be decent for him. The service was pretty friendly and fast. You can sit where you want and the place was full but we weren't overlooked or forgotten about. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because my husband and I ordered the same thing and all of my food was over cooked while his was all golden and looked appetizing. There aren't many good "diner" type places around the metroplex. So we decided to ride our motorcycles out to Decatur for an early morning breakfast before the Texas sun melted us in July. As usual, I relied on my fellow Yelpers to lead the way with good reviews of Brandi's. Y'all didn't disappoint us. This is a good ole fashioned country diner on one the square of Decatur. The bonus is sitting across the street with a great view of one of the best county courthouses in this state. Pretty simple menu but nothing simple about the service and the quality of food. The coffee never ran out and our waitress stopped by checking on us even with a packed (well half full due to Covid) house. I had the biscuit with eggs, potatoes and gravy on top. I came close to licking the plate clean. That gravy was really good. Never tried the other plates my buddies had but they never complained and cleaned their plates as well. All in all...great place to stop by and good food at a very good price! read more

When we arrived I was told that they would bring us an extra chair which never happened and mentioned that 4 other people were joining and one menu and one set of silverware was left. read more

Well country folks drive to the city to eat fine cuisine then the city people escaping the traffic head to the countryside. This place is one of those to head to! We have dined at one on the square in Decatur Chicken and dressing plenty good Bridgeport makes me think about turning Catholic so I will be mandated to eat fish on Friday! It's the kind of hole-in-the-wall, rustic, "Country Cookin' " venue one would expect in a town like Bridgeport, but with one exception -- it's actually quite good! Took a chance and came here last week for lunch while going through town. The place is quaint, and a "seat yourself and kick back" kind of atmosphere that us city-folk are simply not quite used to. (Yeah, I'm the guy who, out of politeness, will look like a total nerd while I stand around the front; waiting to be seated). Anyhow, I was quickly greeted with a "You can sit anywhere...so long as it ain't dirty." That was my cue, I suppose. This place is adorned with all sorts of photos, ribbons, knick-knacks, and stuff....lots of stuff. I was soon greeted by my waitress who was very friendly and offered the special of the day - or whatever I wanted from the menu. I wasn't in a Meat Loaf kind of mood (the special), so I opted for the Chicken Fried Steak (CFS). I think CFS is a staple choice for these kinds of "Country Cookin'" places, as it is a truly defining delicacy for such restaurants around such rural towns. Coupled with mashed potatoes and fried okra, I was soon to be "Country Heaven" on a plate. The CFS was probably the best I've had. Big, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection! The meat was not grisly, and was very easy to cut. Not to mention...thick! Mashed potatoes and okra (a little over-done), was a perfect accompaniment, and all topped off with a starchy white roll and margarine. Great stuff!! The menu hosts a variety of staples, and all look quite tasty. Apparently, the breakfast is quite popular, but I'm never here in the early hours. Will definitely be back to try some more of this stuff! AWESOME!!! read more

What a wonderful surprise! Brandi's country cafe is like stepping back into time. Quaint decore with shiplap ceilings and wood bar make this feel comfortable. The place is super clean. My husband had the scrambled egg breakfast. He said the eggs were cooked well. I had the biscuits and gravy with fruit cup. The food was good and - important to us today - served VERY fast. Completely packed. Ended up leaving. My husband and I stood inside the door for 7 minutes and no one approached us with an offer of a table. There were a few tables with one person sitting there occupying an entire table when there was an empty bar area for solo diners. No masks were worn by anyone - including servers. People just stared at us until we left. Probably good food, but we will never know since the one and only place in this town with proper COVID protocols, available seating AND damn good food was the Taqueria across the street!! We visited the location in Decatur for Sunday breakfast. My husband had the Western omelette, and I had the two egg breakfast. My eggs over easy still had some liquidy white, which I just pushed to the side. Everything I ate was okay. It seemed like the waitstaff was behind. I usually love Brandi's. They always have great service and great food, but today changed my mind. After an hour and a half of waiting for our food, the waitress told me they lost our order. Then she told me they found it but it was still ticket number 6 so we'd have to wait even longer. We just got up and left. read more

The circular flat bread was entirely exquisite, and we especially enjoyed the squeezey bottles utilized to excrete syrup onto the circular flat bread and also we wanted to meet brandi. Awww yes! We stopped here for Sunday brunch. No they don't serve brunch but they do have great food and breakfast was still available at 11:30 so why not? I had a GIANT plate of chicken fried steak with REAL gravy, no package stuff!! It came with 2 eggs, potatoes, toast or biscuit. The steak was THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD outside my mother's kitchen as was the gravy. I couldn't finish everything on my plate but it wasn't so big that I felt like I was wasting food. I watched many lunch specials going by. Wish I lived closer cause I would be a frequent visitor. The service is so good I wish they gave classes to other establishments. Back in my hometown Bridgeport and if you happen to be in the area try this place it has really tasty food! I will say I've only done breakfast here but it's really good. My favorite is the bacon. It is cooked perfectly not too crispy (not that it ever could be in my opinion) and not floppy either, it was perfect. And another must try is the pancakes! Had I known they were as great tasting as they were I would have skipped the eggs and just done the pancakes! From my previous visits the grits are pretty good too. read more

My party had the breakfast burrito, two of the omelets, the chicken fried steak and the two egg breakfast. We also had a couple of sides of grits. The eggs were cooked to perfection!
