I took my 2021 Ford F150 in for regular maintenance, and while rotating the tires, an issue was found with my axle. No problem, I only have 27K miles, and it's covered by warranty. However, they tell me it could be a week or more to get the part, but they DO NOT recommend taking the truck due to safety. Okay, I understand that. So, do I get a rental or a courtesy vehicle? They said "No" and that Ford no longer covers this as part of the warranty unless I have purchased an Extended Warranty through a dealer. Why would anyone buy an extended warranty on a fairly new-ish truck? I was furious. I called Gator Ford, and they couldn't believe that and said that's not true. So, I pick up my truck and take it to Gator Ford. They diagnosed it, ordered the axle, and got me in a rental car free of charge under my bumper-to-bumper warranty. They also got it back up and on the road in just two days. Avoid these people at Brandon Ford, where the service manager did nothing to help, and go to Gator Ford, where they treat customers like people and not another $$$. read more

We bought a car yesterday from Brandon Ford. It was not the car that we initially came there for. I had emailed Jim Gordan, internet sales, on December 24th for an advertised clearance used 2019 Mustang Convertible. He responded to my emails and gave me a price. I told him we'd be in the day after Christmas. The day after Christmas I emailed him to arrange a test drive/purchase and set up an appointment. No response. Four or five phone calls and messages to the dealership and Jim still no response from Jim. After an hour and a half drive to the dealership from Sarasota we waited over a half hour for Jim to show, he didn't. Then we were told that the car we came for was now being written up as we waited and no longer available! Jim totally dropped the ball for us. My wife went ballistic! Picking up the ball was Used Car Sales Manager, Bernard Fleming. He offered to do the right thing and offered us the same trimmed out Mustang in another color for the same price. Kudos! He then handed the ball off to Sales Specialist, Dan Gentile. Dan was great! Took us right to the goal line, never once had to hit him in the head to do what's right. Dan handed off to Woody Givens, Finance Manager to do the paperwork. And with those three, we scored our Mustang convertible! Happy wife, happy life once again. Just bought our second car from Brandon Ford after almost 2 weeks of searching: a certified pre-owned Ford Focus Titanium 2018. We did quite a bit of shopping around, but nothing beat Brandon Ford's prices, low dealer fees, and transparency. They have the lowest dealer fees out of any of the 4 dealers we looked at ($600+ $100 filing), and they alone didn't try to bait and switch us with ridiculous add-ons (e.g., a $1k unadvertised reconditioning fee... really, Hyundai of New Port Richey??! ). We pushed them hard on price (and even walked a couple of times), but they couldn't move down much. Which is fair, honestly, considering the car was $1.7k less than the LOWEST end of KBB's fair purchase price, and was quite a bit less than the price other Ford dealers (Walker Ford, Bill Currie) Ford were offering for the same model and mileage. Although the sticker was a great deal, the out the door price was pushing against our budget-- so Arian Rafhat (our sales consultant) did his utmost to get us to a number we felt more comfortable with. He's a younger guy (20s) so I was a little nervous, but he went above and beyond. He was super knowledgeable and accommodating, and just a nice, smart, capable kid overall. He advocated a lot on our behalf and gracefully dealt with my husband and I squabbling (), so I can't recommend him enough. Far and away the best salesperson I've worked with during this process. We did opt to buy an extended warranty for peace of mind, since I have a long commute for work. Usually those things are rip offs, so I had it firmly in my mind that there was absolutely no way we'd bite--but the price was too good to resist. ($750 for a generous extended 60k warrantee? Yes please). That said, I'm not too worried about anything going wrong with the car. We just passed year 3 with my husband's CPO Fusion Titanium (which has over 50k miles) without as much as a stray squeak. I can only speak from our experience, but I trust Ford, and Brandon Ford's CPO vehicles more specifically. I will update if anything changes, but overall, I'm pretty damn happy. The 2018 Hyundai Elantra SELs I considered looked (and drove) like little rinky dink plastic toys next to my Focus Titanium. Great prices and product, outstanding service. read more

Some of your Service Department Policies need to be changed immediately. I was severely stressed and inconvenienced yesterday and today for NO REASON, and it's clearly a top-down problem. I made changes to my rigid work schedule to accommodate the fact that Brandon Ford doesn't do transmission work on Fridays, which is my day off. I gave myself a 3-hour window (!!) to accomplish the simple task of dropping off my car for RECALL/WARRANTY work. I was told that they would not give me a loaner vehicle without verifying that the work was indeed covered by warranty, which it clearly was, so that's strike one. I was then given what seemed like a less desirable, but workable contingency. I was told there's a shuttle that will take me anywhere in Hillsborough, so I'll be able to get back home in time to resume my work day. Once I'm at the dealership, though, I'm faced with the following choices: 1. Wait, masked, in their lobby for 2.5 hours while they "diagnose" (verify) the warranty work on my car and see that I qualify for a precious loaner. I won't get back home in time to clock back in for work (call center). 2. After some investigation, I found out that the fabled "shuttle" leaves, at best, every 2 hours. I'd missed the 2 pm one by 10 minutes. The next one's at 4 pm. I get to wait 2 hours and still be severely late for work. The choice I ended up making was to pay $30 to Uber home to be back in time for the rest of my shift. After the requisite "diagnosis," I was told that I do, in fact, qualify for a loaner, (shocker) and if I can leave work and hustle right in there they'll have a loaner for me. Okay, so, without a CAR, how am I supposed to get there?? Never mind, that I'm ON THE CLOCK (and grateful for it after last year), or maybe pay another $30 and Uber there?? Why don't I just jump in the chopper and have my private pilot drop me off?? I drive a 2014 FORD FOCUS, people. What kind of resources do you think I have?? The final inconveniences were my setting aside a morning training commitment (I volunteer at MacDill AFB), relying on the generosity of my partner to drive me to Brandon, and the cost of 3 trips on the Selmon Expressway. All because the service department HAD to verify my work was under warranty before allowing me to use a loaner car. And what would the consequences have been if I'd been "inappropriately" granted a loaner? I might have paid to have gotten my repair done there anyway? I might TikTok myself joyriding in my uber-sexy EcoBoost?? Oh, and I'm still going to be paying $550+ to replace parts in the janky 2014 Ford Focus POS transmission that Ford so famously, globally, egregiously effed up, because they're NOT covered. Brandon Ford, you're a big dealership and you sell a tremendous number of vehicles. Your service guys are actually kind, polite fellows who are obviously trying to do the right thing. Your processes, however, are skewed to punish people for leveraging their warranty to get value and reliability out of the product they've spent their hard-earned cash on. You are clearly not focused on your community or building relationships with people. It's a front and you're doing the minimum. BE BETTER, NOT JUST BIGGER. read more

Why 4 stars? Because we thoroughly enjoyed working with our salesperson. --- --- --- After visiting 10-15 dealerships in the span of about a week and a half, my wife and I just bought a vehicle at Brandon Ford. It was quite a long process because the wife wasn't exactly sure what she wanted, which meant that we basically test drove every mid-sized SUV on the market. If you're unaware of how unbearably annoying the car buying process is, consider yourself quite lucky. Usually, we would park our car and be hounded by a salesperson within moments, even if all we wanted to do was casually look around without someone hounding us. When we arrived at Brandon Ford, we were able to walk all around the lot without being bothered. It wasn't until we were walking up to the building that Jeremy asked us if we needed any help. From the moment we met him, he was the complete antithesis of every other sales person that we dealt with. His attitude can be simply summed up by describing it this way: he acted like someone who had zero stake in us buying a car. He was a completely normal guy who wasn't trying out every sales tactic in the book on us. He mentioned a few times that he was pretty new, so I hope that he isn't only different from most because he hasn't been fully trained. He really seemed like a great guy though, so if you're in market for a car, ask for him! He gets an easy 5-stars from us. Once we sat down with the sales manager - that's when we saw some more of the traditional sales stuff that makes people hate the car buying process. Our finance guy was named Steven and he definitely rolled out a few of the typical tactics. The first set of financing options he provided us had a bunch of different warranty options and an interest rate of about 5%. First off, we definitely were not going to be okay with that kind of interest rate because we have great credit. Once we said this, he spent a minute or so looking at his computer and *MAGICALLY* he had an interest rate for us at just under 4%. After some back and forth, we still weren't comfortable, and just before we were ready to end the conversation, he *SUDDENLY* had an interest rate of 3.25% for us. What angers me about this is this: I understand that these guys make a living off of these things. But to stick people with higher interest rates so that you can make a few extra bucks? That's a horrible business model. As much as it annoyed us, we know better. I kept thinking about people who are less financially fortunate or experienced with this process and how scummy it would be to stick those people with terrible rates. The other issue is that we were interested in either no warranty at all, or possibly just about the most minimal one. When we asked for lower warranty options, it was obvious that Steven was getting annoyed. He would print us out a sheet with all of the different choices for each interest rate. When I would ask what it would look like with no warranty at all, he would change the subject or just ignore me altogether. My wife mentioned that we might just buy our warranty later down the line once the factory one runs out and he caused some palpable tension in the room by saying, "you're ABOUT to need to that now though...." and was obviously pretty aggravated. Eventually we bought a small warranty and got an interest rate that seemed to make sense. We're super happy with our purchase, and while it could have been worse, I really wish this industry operated differently. In terms of the automotive world, I'd give Steven 3-stars, but if it were any other industry, it would have been a 1 or 2 star experience for us. Imagine buying an iPhone and when you say that you want to get the smaller option, the sales person does everything he can to make you feel uncomfortable. That company would be out of business quite quickly. Kudos, again, to Jeremy for being awesome. And kudos to Brandon Ford for having such an enormous inventory. We'd definitely consider buying another car here in the future, but I hope they tone down the tension-causing finance people before we need another vehicle. read more

I went in about a month ago and picked out a vehicle. I was not pre-approved and asked that they go through my bank. I filled out the paperwork and waited for a long period of time. I left and asked the salesman to call me when they were ready. He didn't call. I called him an hour later and he told me I was declined. I called my bank the next day and found out that Brandon Ford under reported my income by over 100k. I did get an email from my bank stating so. The next day I went to Force Customs and bought a vehicle from them. Also got a higher trade value by $1K. I decided to drive across the state to visit this dealership after looking online at their new truck inventory and after speaking with sales associate Jim Jackson. My original intention was to purchase a new truck from my local dealer but when they didn't have the truck I wanted in stock and couldn't located one that they could bring in I made the decision to look myself. As Jim promised on the phone the vehicle I was interested in was in stock and he had it detailed prior to me arriving at 8:30 am on Saturday morning, even though Jim was upfront with me on the phone and told me his day started at 11:00 AM, he was at the dealership when I arrived. This is large volume dealership but their approach is all about the customer. After looking at the truck I came here for I changed my mind go figure, Jim was very patient and never rushed us he talked to us like we had been friends for years. After looking at several other trucks and having all my questions answered I decided on one. I must say the negotiation process was easy and there was absolutely no high pressure tactics. Everything about this transaction was transparent we settled on a price and they made a very fare offer on my trade. Jim made this car buying experience a great one I highly recommend if you find yourself at Brandon Ford ask for Jim Jackson by name. While all the paperwork was being completed the truck was taken detailed and fueled up it was very nice to step into my new truck with a full 36 gallon fuel tank. I had a color matched fiber-glass hard cover and a bed rug on my trade that I wanted to keep Jim took my trade to the body shop and we scheduled the part to be painted to match my new truck since I changed colors? I expect to have everything re-installed on my new truck in a few weeks. Bingo, that sets the table, we all sit down and have a discourse of gentlemanly discussion which leads toward a resolution or an impasse. In this manner the communication is an open the door for opportunity to finish the sale of this vehicle, gaining my future services and follow up leads from my network of friends and family. This manner of response, that management chose, closes the door completely - with no room for restoration! Once again... UNBELIEVABLE. BTW I sent over 3-4 glowing comments emails... which of course, were totally ignored. As well, I gave Jim Gordon a strong compliment in my initial review. Final comment, sales adage over the years "the true sales approach and success is started when a prospective client says NO... I know this review won't be published or it will be removed because I physically had to go to the Better Business Bureau, but do not go here if you have any warranty through Ford, it won't be honored and you will be harassed, especially if you are a woman or a disabled Marine veteran. I was scammed out of money right before my wedding and screamed at by their service manager, even after contacting the Tampa location where I bought my car and warranty. (I couldn't get to where I purchased the car due to damage.) The service is truly abhorrent, even if you have a warranty through Ford, it will not be honored and you will be told you have to file a claim. You cannot file a claim as a customer - the dealership MUST file for you. I was given photos after paying $265 for a covered tire, then told multiple times "sorry, the dealership has to do this." I've had extreme problems here before - my vehicle spent 2 days here for an oil change with no contact, and I was given a vehicle I couldn't drive as a loaner at one point, but this truly takes the cake. Praying I get my money back for a tire that WAS COVERED and the sevice manager loses his job, or at least karma comes back around. Despicable. Don't recommend for veterans in our community. Sounds nice, but that was not our reality. After an exhaustive search for an F-150, we found a fairly sizable inventory at this dealer. We made an inquiry online and received a call from an internet sales manager. His attitude was surly to say the least. We had done our homework and were ready to make a deal. When we asked about making an offer, he said that the truck would sell for MSRP. Surprised, we asked if we could make an offer for him to consider with his manager. He replied that he is the manager and that he has never in his 15 years of experience sold a car for under the MSRP. End of story. Definitely not what we were expecting! I purchased a 2022 Ford Edge Titanium on 01/02/22. I was looking for a black one and my local Ford Dealership didn't have any and they suggested Brandon Ford. WOW am I glad they did!!! I am a senior and have purchased many cars in my lifetime. I equate it to going to the dentist....I HATE IT!!! Not anymore! The online price was exactly the same as when I got there to purchase the car. My local Ford dealership had suggested I sell my car to CarMax as they would be able to offer more for my trade-in (2021 Lexus Rx350). So I did as they suggested. Made an appointment for 12:30 was told it would take an hour and THREE HOURS LATER I'm told they haven't even taken it to be serviced. Not sure why we make appointments if you're not actually going to be helped. Every single time i called i got a voicemail that would claim to call me back but no one ever reached out. I asked to speak to MULTIPLE managers and i was told that they'd transfer the call only to be hung up on. This is some of the absolute worst service I've ever received. I've had better communication at a McDonald's. Now I'm without a car and can't even get information about where my vehicle is. Don't waste your time on this place read more

*Service Center* I left a google review a few years about a horrible experience we had at the service center. We bought a new car from Brandon Ford 5 month ago. When it came to buying the extended maintenance warranty we expressed our concern about the service department but was assured the service department had new management and improvements were in place. Today, my husband brought his car in for service. When the car was done he talked to the service center he told them he would be there between 5 - 6 to get his car. I dropped him off just after 5, his paid receipt is time stamped 5:24pm. He called me and said his car is blocked in and they can't find the keys to the other car to move it. It was more than an hour before they found the keys. During the time no one offered sympathy, remorse or encouragement that they were working to resolve the issue. When his car was finally unblocked the manager refused to come speak to him about the incident. This service center is beyond ridiculous. The other comments below about 6hr oil changes when you have an appt and damage to vehicles while in their possession are ALL true. We have experienced it all first hand. Be warned, pick another service center, this one will only frustrate you and waste your time. read more

I took my f150 in for an issue that was covered under warranty work. Michael Abati was my service advisor. He was very professional and listened to my concerns. He had the problem diagnosed, and the parts had to be ordered, He explained the problem to me, and kept me informed every step of the way. He called me when the work was completed and had my truck pulled up front and ready to go when I arrived. read more

Agree with many other review about wait times. Excessive wait times is an understatement. It isn't that the maintenance takes longer--the labor charts are overly generous at prescribing time maintenance should take. As in any business, the supervisors/managers are ultimately responsible for keeping employees on track and customers informed. A little proactive communication would go a LONG way. This place is an absolute joke. They care about nothing but making money. Customer service does not exist here. We had a 10am appointment we made a week in advance. We arrived at 9:55 and there was no less than 18 cars in front of us. Either there were 19 10 am appointments or they allow drive ups as well. I called the service desk and they apologized but said I would have to wait. What the heck is the appointment for then. read more

A month full of headache, hours of calling service department, Brandon Ford, Ford customer relations. 2018 F150 cam phasers have been serviced x3. Reprogrammed twice. Now that my truck is out of warranty they want the customer to cover the cost instead of fixing the problem twice before when it was in there for cam phasers following service bulletins covering the cost and issues and covered under warranty. My truck was there for a month. From the service manager at Brandon Ford to Ford customer service Barbara Lively no help and poor customer service. Barbara Lively also stated she didn't have a superior who spoke to customers. I highly recommend choosing a dealer that is more willing to help their loyal customers instead saying truck was never in there for cam phaser issues and after reviewing service records this is the 3rd time it's been in for cam sensors. After my review of Brandon Ford, "Team V" invited me to call them at 246-3333. I just did so, and the receptionist does not know who "Team V" is or where to direct my call. My service advisor does not know who "Team V" is or where to direct my call. So while it may appear that there is follow-up from Brandon Ford, there is absolutely none. If "Team V" is reading this and wants to reach out to me, you can find my contact info on service ticket #37891 from 7/5/22. If I hear nothing, that will confirm that Brandon Ford's service department "follow-up" is totally fictitious. read more
