Car was suppose to be detailed upon delivery....it was filthy. Had to take grease off the trunk and get the car washed. Brandon sent me an email asking about my experience. Brandon Ford's service center is a joke! I made an appointment 3 weeks ago for 7:00AM this morning. When I showed up at 6:45AM there was a line of 12 or more cars in the service line ahead of me. I got out of my car and went to talk to the service attendant to let him know I had a 7:00AM appointment. He said "you need to get in line." I told him it would be after 9:00AM until I advanced to the front of the line. His answer was so absurd that I actually laughed in his face. He said "just because you have a 7:00AM appointment doesn't mean your service happens at 7:00AM." So, basically, there is NO point in making an appointment, its "first come, first served!" I've bought two cars here over the last 10 years and have always gotten my service done here. Never again will I buy a car there or will I get my service done there! read more

We recently visited Brandon Ford in search of an F150 truck. It was a Saturday evening and they were quite busy. A salesman, who actually identified himself as a business development coordinator or manager named Joe, came out to assist us. We had test driven this same vehicle model a few weeks ago in Pinellas County, but made the drive over to Brandon to look at a particular vehicle we were highly interested in. We drove it, liked it and expressed our desire to sit down and work out a deal. We had a car to trade in and also had an idea of its value. It's a 2018 with less than 3000 miles on it and in excellent condition. Obviously we understood that it has depreciated in the few short months we have owned it, but we were willing to accept a fair trade in value and move forward with the purchase. When new, our car was approximately $31,000. We estimated a fair trade in between $24-26,000. Joe contacted a colleague in the dealership office to initiate the trade in estimate. Immediately he began to relay to us that our car was worth far less than what we paid for it. At this point we were not concerned, as I said, we expected to take a bit of a hit on the car's value. We waited approximately 20 minutes and during this time I got the sense that Joe didn't really care if he sold us a vehicle or not. I've never liked the pressure that car salesman often put on customers, but the ambivalence I was feeling from Joe was downright odd. Finally he announced the value of our trade in - $16,000! We expressed that this seemed an absolutely ridiculous and arbitrary number, but he assured us that they know how to value trade in vehicles and that the $16,000 was the bottom line. We are not the kind of people who want to debate someone who clearly didn't want or need our business. We simply left. This week we purchased nearly the identical vehicle and received $25,550 for our trade in. I rarely write reviews. When I do, it's been for the excellent service or care I've received doing business with someone. Mediocre service is almost the norm these days so I don't even bother reviewing most businesses I visit. But this experience was too disturbing not to share. The bottom line: buyer beware! If you have a vehicle to trade, look elsewhere or make sure you have documentation from other reputable local dealers showing a valid estimate. read more

Still took four hours and they charged a 124 dollar diagnostic fee only to say I needed exactly what the other Ford dealer said I needed. My experience with Brandon Ford has been HORRIBLE. On 8/23/23: I had my 2019 Ford Edge Titanium towed to Brandon Ford because the light was on the dash and it was not accelerating. Marty in the Service dept advised that it would be $289 to fix it. I asked if they could do an oil change too. That was an additional $79.95. So they changed the oil, rotated the tires, spliced in new connector pigtail. Retested and test drove. 08/25/23: I picked it up. 9/1/23: Check engine & tire sensor lights were on. I had it towed to Ford again. This time it was $446.40. They replaced crank case pressure sensor. 09/08/23: I picked it up. 09/09/23: Tire sensor light is on. Called Marty. He advised the tire sensor light illuminating is a nuisance but the truck is fine. 09/15/23: Called Marty again because the truck is still feeling like it is going to cut off. He said bring it back (his tone was off-putting). Needless to say I did not bring it back right away. I drove it sparingly. 12/26/23: It cut off in traffic. I started it back up and it lagged bad to my house. I decided to enjoy the holidays so I left it in my driveway. 01/30/24: I decided to do some troubleshooting and could not determine what was wrong. I was able to jump start it but it still lagged when driving so I had it towed to Ford again. This time they changed the battery for $371.90. 02/28/24: The light came on and it was lagging really bad. I made it home and called Marty. I explained the issue that was thought to have been resolved in August is still a problem. He said you can bring it back & we'll run a diagnostic for $169. I said but it was here for this issue before (5 months ago). He said & you've driven 2,000 miles since then. He said I'm reading your mileage on your 2019 Ford Edge right now, in a very condescending tone. This was unnecessary because I know what the mileage is and what it was back then. That's less than 500 miles a month, which is not high mileage, since the average car is driven 12,000 miles a year. I think he mentioned the miles to deflect from the fact that they did not fix the issue the first time. This has left a distaste for all FORDS for me. Brandon Ford has had my daughter's Ford Bronco for six weeks. The car is less than two years old. She bought it from them with only a few hundred miles on it. She's had it for a bit over a year. It's still under warranty. At the end of December she had some issues getting it to start. She took it to Brandon Ford on December 31st. They called her a few hours after dropping it off to say that it was the battery and they would order a replacement free of charge. It's been six weeks. Nobody calls with updates. When she calls them, her service tech just keeps saying they are waiting on the battery and he doesn't know when to expect it. She spoke to a supervisor who told her that the auto parts stores have it in stock but Ford told them that they are not allowed to spend the money to buy one at the auto parts store. They can't spare the price of a battery, but she's making car payments on a car that she doesn't have. Terrible customer service. read more

Just getting my 30K checkup today at the service center....sitting in the lobby...thinking why not write a review. My husband and I have purchased 2 vehicles here. It's been about 3 yrs since but I remember the entire experience went smooth. Great customer service from my sales rep, Lloyd was his name. Ask for him, he is very no pressure and you don't get that "used car salesman" feel from him. I know it's probably a Ford thing but we get calls from him occasionally and birthday cards. It's the small things...lol. Mike in financing also was a pleasure to deal with. Service center: We always make an appt. They have a nice lounge area while you are waiting that has vending machines, coffee, water, and popcorn. Free WiFi is a plus. There is also a free shuttle service as well. All in all. I had my vehicle towed to Brandon Ford because of a broken heater hose. They tried to sell me things I didn't need and charge me 640 dollars. I told them no way and to just fix the problem. They replaced the heater hose, radiator hose (wasn't broken), and refilled with antifreeze. This had to take a half hour tops because it's all open and only two clips on the hoses. Brandon Ford charged me 305.00. What a rip off. Don't go there unless your under warranty. read more

I have had great experiences with Ford in the past, in other cities and states, so I kept going back when I should have stopped going. I had my battery replaced there, and they installed the connections so loosely it leaked battery fluid and caused a lot of corrosion. Because the corrosion caused my battery to go bad, and damage to connectors and wires, I had to get the battery replaced quickly to get to work. Since Ford didn't replace the bad battery, it's not covered by Ford, and now I have to pay for repairs to the connectors and wires out of pocket. After I had the battery replaced, I had an oil change scheduled there. They confirmed the oil change 3 days before, then I show up day of and they had canceled the appointment. No explanation, no reason, and they couldn't even tell me who did it because their system doesn't keep records like that. They said they'd 'get me in' to make up for it. I waited an hour before checking to see if they'd even taken it back. They hadn't even started, and I had to pick up my kids in an hour, so I scheduled a new appointment and left. They agreed to comp the oil change to make up for the inconvenience. It took them 4 hours to complete the newly scheduled oil change. I guess since it was comped, they were in no hurry. Thankfully, I had no where else I had to go and was able to wait 4 hours for an oil change. I now go to the Plant City Ford, and I will NEVER go back to Brandon Ford. read more

They may be the largest volume Ford dealership, but that may have more to do with them trying to get the volume of people into their dealership to push all those cars out, instead of paying attention to great customer service needs or product knowledge. Starting from the top, because that who is ultimately responsible for the people below them. After my initial visit (test drive/offers) I received an email from their Senior Sales Manager Brooksye Hall, ["Please contact me and let me know how I can be of service to you in your buying decision. I look forward to earning your business!"] Well, I did contact him on several occasions about this matter and never heard back. The same goes with Tommy Shelly (Internet Sales). I emailed him several times, since the salesman I was working with the day before (Keith Magley) was off. I did receive a phone call from him that I missed and when I called him back, and left a message, I have yet to receive a call back. Now to back pedal a bit to the initial test drive. I usually schedule this aspect by using this website to find a dealers best sales person. On this day, I was in the area and decided to drop in. Well, I got their somewhat "new guy", Keith. He said that he had been in car sales for 30 years, but only at this dealership for 9 months. Usually a good rule of thumb for new guy status stops at 6 months, but I'll keep Keith in this category, because he did not know much about the Explorer ST that I was looking at. This goes back to what I said earlier, and is a reflection of management since they are responsible for training the people below them. Once we got to the discussion of numbers they came back with everything except the APR%, which is a huge piece of the equation. Since the rebates were so high I could only assume that their in house rates would match to make up for this in the life of the loan. After some finagling to get this rate from them, James Crew (finance) came out to the sales floor and confirmed what I assumed that the Ford finance rates on the Explorer ST were 6.9%!. He was very friendly and did somewhat defuse the situation that had previously built up with Keith as I was trying to get this missing piece of the puzzle from him. After all my research and three dealerships visits I did end up purchasing from Brandon Ford, just based on price alone. The sales process went very smoothly and the paperwork drill went great with Kris Meyer. He was very informative and helpful through the entire process. Get this man a Smart Desk though would ya! So many stacks of paperwork everywhere! Once we were done here it was time for the vehicle walk around. Typical stuff, and there were some things that Keith showed me that he didn't when we did the test drive. He was very persistant about downloading the Ford app, but no mention of the Sirius/XM subscription process or hotspot features. One huge item that comes with all Explorer ST's that Keith knew nothing about, is the Ford ST SUV Driving Experience. An experimental perfomance race driving program. How is it that the customer has to tell you about this? Also, on monroney sticker it had a dealer installed crossbar ($395) on it. Which typically means that it had already been installed, but in this case it had not. Nor had it even been ordered. So the vehicle was not ready upon receiving, and now I have to go back once it comes in to have it installed. Other typical items that normally occur after the purchase of a vehicle that did not, was the tour. I did get pointed in the direction of service department, but no walk around/meet and greet, mention of parts and accessories or even a drive by from management thanking me for the purchase. Some would say that this could be due to the number of customers they had at the time. Even though the entire process took place between Wednesday and mid-day Friday during the "Safer at Home COVID-19" time period. Meaning, dealerships customer foot traffic had been way down. Overall, I was not entirely impressed with Brandon Ford. They did get my business because of their prices and as a customer isn't that what we are ultimate concerned with, getting a good deal? That does not mean that I would purchase from them again, or recommend them for that matter, because good customer service is what does that. read more

Brandon Ford pulled a bait n' switch on us and it was an infuriating experience. We saw an F150 on the CarGurus website that was at their dealership. The listing was brand new and didn't even have photos up yet. We drove 3 hrs round trip to go look at it on a Friday evening and they told us it wasn't even on the lot yet...it was in detailing. We worked with a salesman (Shane, initially) that evening who assured it would be out on the lot the next day. So we made plans to come back the following day and Shane asked us to give him a call first so he could verify it was available to view. Next day, drive 90 min drive to dealership and call to verify it is available and ready to view. No problem. Shane hands us off to salesman James for some reason. Arrive, truck is right out front. Quickly into it for a test drive. All is good, really like the truck. We have cash in hand ready to buy. James goes to "manager" to get the ball rolling... And it all goes wrong. At this point they come back to us very apologetically saying that somebody actually came in that morning before us and began purchase process on that truck. But they'd be "happy to show us some other vehicles that are 'similar' ." The "similar" list was either much more expensive than the website price on this truck or had far fewer options. Nothing comparable. 1) why was this not communicated on phone when we called (30 min prior to arrival) to verify it was available? 2) why were we allowed to test drive a vehicle that was "under contract" to be purchased? At this point the entire encounter felt exploitative/dishonest at worst and incompetent at best. Other Ford dealers in the area (Veterans, Wesley chapel) independently warned to be weary of Brandon because of bait n' switch. We figured it was a dig at the competition. Evidently not. They always say that for a 2006 vehicle, it's in great shape and that is only because of the service department at Brandon Ford. John is always willing to work with me as far as fitting me in for an oil change or anything else that needs looking at. Are there some services they mention (brakes) that I will get done cheaper elsewhere, sure, but for things like oil changes or major engine issues...I will call Brandon Ford again and again! I drove from Brevard County, it took me 2:30 hours, only because the advertised best price and having been assured by the sales associate that the price would not change, he even told me over the phone what I would be walking out with. After 4 hours of waiting and doing paperwork that did should have taken 30 minutes to do, I ended up with a finance option of 8.83% while I had a FICO 2 Credit score of 807 and FICO 8 of 805. My experience with them is that I feel disgusted by this dealership. I found this dealership while going through a credit application on Capital One website for Auto Loans. They had the best advertised price, I called to confirm and specifically ask if the price would change, and even if I qualify for the price posted, I WAS TOLD YES! I had been dealing with a few dealers and they had been giving me quotes for similar vehicles but they always had a standard rate of 7.99% for 72 months. SO I did specifically ask about the rate and like the other dealers I WAS told worst case is 7.99% and that that was a standard quote without a credit check. I was told "but depending on your credit score it can be much better". I was happy as anyone can ever be and walked the next day, BTW it was today 11/8/2019. After going through the few vehicles I had selected I finally decided on the right one and we started doing paperwork, it took quiet some time but I did not mind, the paper work should have not taken more than 30 minutes but it was more than two hours. Next was the finance office! Walked into the finance office and was presented with a additional warranty sheet, the finance officer started talking and would not mention the finance rate of 8.83%, or more for other payment time frames. I stopped him and asked him "wait a minute, I think I was told that the rate was at worst case 7.99%," he replied who told you that? I said the Sales Associate, finance officer said he is not supposed to do that. Well then why are you asking a rate higher than worst case scenario, I asked if he could do better and returned Mmmmmmmmmm NO! So here we go, do you get the loan and refinance later? Well do you trust the finance officers word when he says there is no early payment penalty? Me and my father walked out and drove 100 miles home while having a check 9000$ down payment and excellent credit to purchase the vehicle. read more

Drove from Sarasota and they tell me no because the dealership won't pay for a rental since I didn't purchase the ford here. So for the inconvenience you think the dealership would take the hit. They told me no. I would of never drove up if The lady on the phone said there was no way I couldn't get a rental. So basically they could get me a rental but they don't want to. BUT, in all fairness, they took the opportunity to make it right. Joe Turinsky (service manager) stepped up. We discussed what happened, and the events that followed. He actually listened and understood my point of view. And agreed things could have been handled better. He apologized for what happened, and more importantly, he explained what was being done to correct it. Seems they do take reviews seriously, respond and try to work with the customer. I was honestly surprised at the response and level of customer service. And I just had routine service and recall work done. Wonder if I had dropped $40-50k on a new truck. After having a very disappointing visit to Ford locally we went online and found Brandon Ford. Since the trip was a solid hour away I phoned ahead and spoke with Tracey to be sure their advertised price was the true bottom line as this was not the case in Sarasota. Tracey assured me and we made the trip. Not only was the price EXACTLY as advertised, but Tracy was able to get us the spray in bed liner. We took the test drive and were out the door with our new F150 4x4 Lariat in under 3 hours. They gave us the higher end trade in value on our 2012 F150 and the entire process and everyone we encountered were exceptional. But I want to give a special nod to our salesman Tracey. You couldn't ask for a more stand up guy. A strait talker, no games, no nonsense with a terrific personality. Tracy made us feel like we were the only people in the building. Two, they immediately tried to run a credit report when I was nowhere near that point yet. They said it was "part of the process," but I'd been to three dealerships over the last two days and a hard credit report was never requested. I have a high credit score (795-800), but I was told that because I'm 25 years old, my credit is "young," so my payments would likely be higher. Um, okay. For a $17k Ford Escape, I was quoted $2k for a trade in and $330 (!!!) a month with $0 down. I found this extremely interesting, because for a Toyota Corolla down the road (for about $800 less), I was quoted $2k trade in, $0 down, and $156 a month. When I mentioned this, the sales manager seemed to start talking in circles and couldn't give me a solid answer. I said thanks but no thanks, and never came back. I was leaning toward a car with a bit better gas mileage anyway, so it was unlikely I was going to go with the Escape. Went in to talk about price and was told so sorry but we have next to NO room for price negotiation on this truck. Took $500 off then $1000 but that was all,. Then They played hardball on my trade in. Tried to rip me off had to show Kelly blue book info to get them even close to value. Then I found them adding in fees on the deal jacking the price up. I walked out. That truck 3 weeks later is still on the lot and guess what... yup they knocked $3000 off the price!!!!!! THREE GRAND! WHAT A TERRIFIC BUYING EXPERIENCE!!! We now know why these guys are the #1 Ford Certified Dealer in the Nation. We were shopping for a Certified Ford C-Max (the plug in hybrid) last May and checked out several dealers in the Tampa Bay area. While many stores offered us great service and good pricing, the deal that we got at Brandon Ford was almost a thousand dollars less than the best deal we found anywhere else. The vehicle was cleaned up and ready for us when we arrived to take delivery and all of the paperwork was printed out and waiting for us. Our finance manager, Barrie Moss, made the final step of the process quick and painless. He even saved us money over our own bank on the financing and found a way to extend the Ford Certified warranty for 8 years at a super affordable rate, because of the low mileage that my wife and daughter drive. We had a few electrical issues with the vehicle after we took delivery and that is where these guys really shined. They made that part as painless as possible and put us in a FREE rental while the work was completed... Scheduled an oil change two weeks ago, at the time asked if it was possible for them to change a blinker light. No problem i was told. My wife brought the car in and told them she would wait for it. After two hours they said it wouldnt be much longer. At the four hour point she asked again what the hold up is. Oh we dont have the light bulb..... poor poor customer service. I am beyond disappointed in the way they treated her. At checkout didnt even mention the light bulb that was not taken care of after a four hour wait. Whenever we came in for oil change or questions we were always impressed with the professionalism and courtesy throughout the dealership. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I live in Key West and was on the market for a very particular truck; an 2019 F250 to be exact. Key West doesn't really have a market down here for that type of vehicle. I contacted several dealers in Miami and Tampa and decided to settle on going to Tampa to see if we could get a good deal on a vehicle. I narrowed my focus on three dealerships that seemed to be the most responsive and had trucks in my price range. Brandon Ford, Bartow Ford and Wesley Chapel Ford. The Sales Consultant at Brandon Ford, Mr. Joseph Spellman initially told me that they sold the highest volume of vehicles in the country and could therefore provide the best deal. That does make sense, decrease your profit margins by increasing volume and it weighs out. I contacted all three dealers and made it readily apparent I would visit each one and also the prices each was willing to offer. Wesley Chapel and Bartow were both very open, accommodating and professional. Brandon Ford however said that they would refuse to negotiate and "if you can get a lower price at another dealership I want you to buy it because that means they are losing money and I want them to go out of business." I offered to send them an invoice to show that these were indeed proposed prices and Mr. Spellman reiterated the aforementioned and told me to buy it there. So I did. (at Wesley Chapel) It's true, when compared with the MSRP and advertised price Brandon Ford does have the largest decrease percentage. However when it comes to decorum and professionalism I was completely turned off, and away. The funny thing is that Mr. Spellman sent me an email the night I bought the truck asking how my search went and if i'd be in to see if we could work out a price. I replied with an email encompassing what i'm writing here. And an additional note, Wesley Chapel came down in price to exceed Brandon Fords (MSRP to Advertised Price percentage decrease). So, if your looking to buy, a lot of dealerships will match prices to beat their competitors, even if they do claim to sell the highest number of Fords in the Nation. Brandon Ford Service Department is pathetic. I visited them today to purchase and have a new driver's side front door glass replaced. I was directed to the parts department, order the glass, paid for the glass, and then told to drive a few doors up to Brandon Ford's warehouse and pick up the glass and return to have it installed. Upon my return I was told by the service advisor to make the appointment with the folks inside. I went inside and was advised they doesn't install glass. I went back to my first service advisor, who went into the cashier and told them to make the appointment and I went in to have them tell me 4 more times via 3 different people they don't install glass. The Brandon Ford warehouse, parts counter, & service advisor told me they did, so I returned the glass got my credit card credited and left. There is no service department at Brandon Ford, no Management, and no concern for the customer. Just beware if you buy a vehicle from them. read more
