Brandon Ford Service Department is pathetic. I visited them today to purchase and have a new driver's side front door glass replaced. I was directed to the parts department, order the glass, paid for the glass, and then told to drive a few doors up to Brandon Ford's warehouse and pick up the glass and return to have it installed. Upon my return I was told by the service advisor to make the appointment with the folks inside. I went inside and was advised they doesn't install glass. I went back to my first service advisor, who went into the cashier and told them to make the appointment and I went in to have them tell me 4 more times via 3 different people they don't install glass. The Brandon Ford warehouse, parts counter, & service advisor told me they did, so I returned the glass got my credit card credited and left. There is no service department at Brandon Ford, no Management, and no concern for the customer. Just beware if you buy a vehicle from them. read more

If I could give less than 1-star I would. Went to service department to get recall work on my F-150 and they flashed my ECU to repair. Less than 200 miles later, my check engine light came on with multiple faults. Brought it back in and they charged me $130 to diagnose the problem and then quoted me $1100 to fix an evaporative control module line. Refused service and went to Hi Tech Automotive and they ran same tests and fixed the issue for $115. Would never recommend Brandon Ford Service. If their service department is this unscrupulous, I can only imagine how their sales department staff are. STAY AWAY! read more

Ford issued a recall for my 2015 Ford Fusion because the brake bumper is defective, but they said "wait" for a follow-up letter stating when parts would be available. In the meantime, the brake bumper malfunctioned. The brake lights will not go off (draining the battery) and the car fails to accelerate properly. It is DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE CAR. Brandon Ford's response, "its Ford Motor Company's fault and the earliest repair appointment is three days away." In other words, DO NOT TRUST FORD MOTORS OR THEIR DEALERSHIPS! read more

My experience was brief and underwhelming. We came out ready to buy on the spot and were met with no enthusiasm whatsoever. When we arrived they were hosting a Memorial Day BBQ, which was very nice. All of the staff we encountered initially were very friendly and helpful. There was the usual group of salespersons standing at the entrance, ready to pounce. :) We informed them we had corresponded with a "JR Soto" via email. He was immediately sent for. While we waited...and waited....and waited, we began to regret asking for Soto. When he finally showed up, he was very brusque and unfriendly. He seemed flustered and haggard, like he'd been working hard on something, a sale perhaps? It definitely felt like he was ready for a break and not happy to be dealing with us. We all walked out to the car we were interested in. After speaking with him for an entire 5 minutes, and asking about negotiating the price, he promptly shut us down and sent us packing. The car was $32k I believe, and we were looking to walk out the door closer to $30k. Splitting hairs really. You always want a good deal when making a large purchase like this, he could have played ball. Because of this frustrating and frankly offensive experience, we went across the street to Ferman Chevrolet and spent $36k on a brand new Traverse. Your loss, Brandon Ford. Make sure you check and double check their prices before paying for service here. I've had my car serviced here a few times and I have to say the waiting room is nicely equipped and the service writers are friendly. However, they are usually busy and you're probably not going to get in same day. And, even though they do have some "loss leader" coupons occasionally, you're going to pay top dollar for any repairs. Case in point, I took my car in for a check engine light and knocking noise when turning the wheels on my 05 Mercury Grand Marquis. After the $95 diagnostic fee, they called back to say that my EGR valve was bad and I needed new upper control arms in the front. The EGR replacement was about $500 parts and labor and the upper control arms were around $500, for a total of roughly $1,000. I checked the prices in automd.com (free site, highly recommended) and they said the average dealer price for the repair should be around $700 and a local shop should average $475. Sure enough, I called our usual local shop and they quoted under $500 out the door for both repairs. Yeah, I get the whole "dealer serviced" value, but if anyone could explain the 2x price difference and how I would get $500 out of extra value in this repair by using Brandon Ford, I'd love to hear it. Personally, I think they are comfortable gouging customers in repair charges and I told as much in a followup email to the service manager. He did reply and offered further explanation on the charges I was quoted. You've been warned. Edited: 9/27/12 based on an email from the service manager. I misunderstood over the phone and the cost was close to $1,000 for both the EGR valve replacement and the upper control arms replacement. read more

Brandon Ford used to be a great place to purchase/service your vehicle, but they have gone down hill. First, vehicle prices are lackluster to what they once were -- $20k list prices would be dropped $4K to $5k dollars. Plus, cars were brand spanking new. Now, list price $30k is scarcely dropped to $1500 or so, and their so called "new cars" have a couple of thousand miles on them. Last, but not least, is their service dept. One could walk in to get their oil change, no more. I was refused an oil change yesterday and that was a first. Their policy was to never refuse an oil change, even if the individual didn't have an appointment. Last, service person was bold and unapathetic...not the same Brandon Ford of olden days. So, I'm officially a Ford owner now. I've never owned a Ford before. I spent countless hours researching on the Internet, before visiting a dealer. Of all the manufacturers, Ford just seemed to be the right fit for me. I chose Brandon Ford because it's close. They have a huge selection, and everyone seems to be friendly & professional there. I found the vehicle I was looking for, and the whole process was pretty painless. I never felt any pressure, and all the people I work with were very helpful. The building inside is nice. There is a playground inside and out, to keep the kiddos busy. Also, there are several TVs with different shows to help pass the time while they come up with numbers. It's been a few days now and I am extremely happy with my new vehicle. If I had to do it all over again, I would go back to Brandon Ford. read more

Unfortunately I have to at least give one star, otherwise I wouldn't. My experience with Brandon Ford is typically good, however it only takes one time to completely ruin a relationship. We all know the stigma that dealerships are generally more expensive than other mechanics, and it's true at Brandon Ford in Brandon Florida. But I felt extremely comfortable taking both my Fords there for service anytime they needed it from oil changes to large issues. That all changed this weekend, and I will never take another vehicle to this dealership ever again. Over the weekend I made an appointment with their service department to get my transmission looked at, we all know that when transmission is involved that it's not only going to be lengthy, it's going to be expensive. I had an appointment for Monday October 11, 2021...however I had to drop off the car early on Saturday (since they are not open on Sunday and I had to work early Monday morning). With this being a transmission issue, I knew they were going to have my car an extended period of time, so I simply asked Marty, the service advisor if they would give me a loaner car until my car is fixed. This is very typical of my previous service advisor if the car was going to be in their possession for a few days. So I kindly asked Marty if this was a possibility. After a few back and forth comments he stated "Look, you can either drop off the car with us, our you can simply take it with you, but I am. not giving you a loaner." On my appointment day (Monday, October 11, 2021) I was told by my advisor that the transmission department is booked up and will not be able to look at my vehicle for at least 4-5 days. So not only will they not give me a loaner, now they are taking my car even longer and wont look at it until 5 days past my appointment date. I have spent a great deal of money with the service department at this dealership and I knew that the transmission was also going to be very costly, and so I took the conversation to the Service Manager, Lisa. I got a call from her 3 days after the fact and her basically telling me that Ford changed it policy back in January of 2021, yet I have had two services done since that time and both times received a loaner vehicle from my service advisor. Lisa was very dismissive and basically told me that there was nothing she could do and that if I wanted to escalate this to Ford I could. This has made me not only want to never do business with Brandon Ford again, but also reconsidering purchasing a Ford period. I would stay far way from this Ford Dealership especially the service department. They want to sell you the cars, but the customer service unfortunately stops once you pull off the lot. I will never again take any of my vehicles to this dealership, and I will use my social platform to also ensure that everyone knows about their business tactics at the service department over there. I called Brandon Ford service department to schedule an oil change and to have them look at my seat belt because I have had issues where sometimes it get stuck and I have to keep pulling until I am able to put it on. My car is a 2016 Ford Fusion with 48,500 miles on it. The young lady that I was speaking with right away say I needed to bring it in right away because this is a safety issue. She put me on hold and told me let her check with her manager since they are booked for the next week. She came back and told me the manager say to bring it in now. The sooner I get to them the better since i will be a walk in. I got to Brandon Ford and told the service guy the problem I have with my seat belt that it does not work properly all the time. He told me I would need to leave my car for a couple of days. I told him that was not mentioned to me and could not leave it because I would have no transportation he also informed me that it would be a $99 service fee that I would have to pay since my car is out of warranty. Another service person came over and told me the same thing. I needed to pay $99 if I wanted them to check my seat belt. I told them this is the first time I have purchased a new car and to have seat belt issues only after 48,000 mile is ridiculous. I informed them I did not have the service fee money and I would report them. I wonder if I am the only person having seat belt issues with the 2016 Fusion? According to Ford corporate office I was told the only way to know if the Fusion is having issues is with seat belts is I would need to pay the service fee since they can't tell the local Ford not to charge go diagnostic. I had an excellent experience with a new car purchase thru Brandon Ford. It was my sixth dealership (the other five in Polk County) and they beat the best deal by $2000, explaining that they are a "volume dealer" and can afford to sell for less. They have over 2000 cars on their four lots. I received excellent sales service from Tommy Shelly. From arrival to out the door was about five hours, but that included test drives, price tallying, financing and getting the car prepped. My only complaints might be the lack of comfort while waiting for the finance people--in an icy cold sterile area and then the "sales pitch" of the finance person wanting to goad me into an extended warranty for an additional $2500 (but not wanting to give me a copy of the rate structures). He also said that if I applied for credit I'd get an extra $1000 off for about $40 in interest. THAT turned out to be about $400 in interest paying it off immediately upon getting the paperwork. Seemed less than honest. I have had very successful service experiences here--make an appointment! (don't drop in) They said two hours but I was done in one. Can't beat that. They do harass you with at least four emails afterwards with that method tho. read more

We set up a time to come in and test drive. Jake was courteous and efficient. He had all the financing basically done before we set foot on the property, which is EXACTLY what we wanted. My partner and I were in the market for a CPO Ford Escape Titanium about 18mos ago when we lived in the Tampa Bay Area. We drove over 45min from the other side of the bay to come to Brandon ford after hearing some reviews from coworkers about how great they were. We ended up finding a fully loaded '14 Model with on 7,400 miles on it! The car was great, the sales guys were not pushy at all (they even guaranteed to hold the car for me for 2 days before we could get over there). This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. We got a great car, at a great deal and at a GREAT rate!!! We now live in Ohio but will be strongly considering driving the 17 hours back to Brandon Ford when it is time to buy our next car. Upon arrival, I walked into the door and asked for salesman I spoke with on the phone. I called him prior to arrival and I knew he was busy but he assured me there was definitely someone there to help. They paged for an available sales rep. I waited....and waited....then a gentleman whose name I wish I would've gotten walked up and asked if I had been help, I kindly replied No, but I spoke to a gentleman on the phone whose name I gave him, about a truck on his lot. He replied "I do not have time for a half, you need to speak with that guy." And walked away. So I stood at the desk for another ten minutes then eventually thanked the lady who had now paged for sales help twice and walked to my truck. I decided since I was there I wouldn't completely waste my time and go look at the trucks on the lot myself. After twenty minutes of opening doors and viewing these new trucks I decided to go back to my truck. As I sit here on my 2016 Silverado, looking to buy a 60k truck. I can't get a sales guy to come my way. While 3 sit under a gazebo and watch me open these doors of new trucks. I have never been so shocked in my life of sales people so unwilling to help. I can say soo much about this place! Well a few weeks ago I inquired about wanting to purchase a new car, I inquired about a specific car online and received a message from Ricardo the next morning with information on that car. I finally ended up going down to Tampa to visit Brandon Ford, when I pulled up I noticed the same car I wanted was driving off the lot. Me and my parents got out the car, someone came up to me and the first thing he asked was if I was working with someone already. All I knew was the name Ricardo from online, he went inside to call him to the service desk and I met Ricardo soon after. I reminded Ricardo of who I was and told him that I was looking to purchase that exact model and stock number, he checked and as I expected it had been checked out. Ricardo asked me if there was another car I was Interested in, I told him I just wanted an escape and I wanted it in black. Ricardo took us to the escapes and explained that there was a big sale on the 2017 models, I found a black one and he asked if I wanted to test drive it(which I did of course). Test drove it and instantly fell in love! We got back, Ricardo went and had the car washed and told us to meet him inside. We worked on paperwork for about an hour and a half, I told him that I'm coming to the table with $0 down and he worked with that. Well low and behold I drove away with my 2017 Ford Escape with only 11 miles on it(14 after the test drive). God gets all the glory of course but Brandon Ford is amazing! Last night, 2nd time in there trying to buy a truck for my parents. A salesman by the name of Joe Perkins helped us. At first he was a nice guy. Very helpful and respectful. After a prolonged period of time, you can tell was starting to get annoyed and at two different times got disrespectful. First time outside with my wife when she asked a question, his response "lets worry about what the buyers are asking". Second time was when he started talking to me like I was stupid and keep saying "No you don't understand". I understood just fine. When I showed him the price on there web site as well as other he continued to tell me I was wrong. If I'm showing someone a price off your web site as well as other ford websites how can I be wrong? Needless to say he just got up from the table with out trying to go back and see a sales manger and said I guess we are done here. Yes we are done with an attitude like that. Then on the way out he smirk and say "you'll be back, we are not the number 1 dealer in the nation for nothing." With attitudes like that I'm not even sure if that's true or not.
