We were looking for an "Old School" Wisconsin supper club and we found it here. Brandy's Old Fashioned had everything we were looking for, the atmosphere, the famous Wisconsin Old Fashion drinks and the food we remember. I had the shrimp scampi and my wife had the Wisconsin Fish Fry cod. Both were excellent. The service was top notch. Food was served fast and fresh, but we never felt rushed. We were able to take our time and enjoy our dinner. Prices were more than fair. Our new go to when we're in the Lake Geneva area. read more

Our server, Natalie B, was fantastic. - she was super kind and attentive. Although the website states that they are open until 12am, the rude bartender chose to close early, before 11pm. We didn't even get a full 30-minute last call notice which is customary - only about a 10 minute notice. Went for the first time last week. Love the decor and atmosphere. We had a drink at the bar. Then were sat in the back room table of 5. Ian was a great waiter. Very cheerful and quick to respond to our requests. Nice job Ian!!! We all had the fish. 2 broiled, 3 fried. Fried fish was great! Light breading and cooked well. The broiled was not up to par. Super bland. Cold. One platter came out with fish that looked like it had already been eaten - yikes! Loaded baked potato's were subpar. Looked like they sat under a heat lamp too long. 1/2 piece of bread was strange - usually you get a full piece cut in 1/2 with a pad of butter. And the platters...not needed. Tables are too small for such big platters. A regular plate would be sufficient. The relish tray was also strange. Typically you get crackers, cheese pack or butter. Just a few veggies and ranch. There's a lot to say here. The food was good overall. When you order a $50 filet, you expect a certain level of quality and service--and to be fair, it was was close to meeting that level. It wasn't the best steak I've ever had, but it was decent. That said, I'm not convinced 100% it was worth $50. The lobster was good to note. For my first drink I started with a Brandy Old Fashioned. I have never had brandy, but figured I'd try it given the supper club was named after it. It was just okay--but that's on me for trying something outside my norm. At $14, the price felt fair and expected. Where things really went sideways was with the next two drinks. I ordered a Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned and later a Woodford Reserve tall with club soda. When the bill came, the Old Fashioned was $23 and the tall was $21 ($20 for the pour and $1 just to make it "tall"). I fully expected to pay more for Woodford Reserve--but $23 for an Old Fashioned is excessive, and $21 for a simple Woodford and soda is hard to justify. Charging an extra dollar for a splash of club soda from a gun just adds insult to injury. I love supper clubs and absolutly have been to quite a few, and I've never paid $23 for a drink anywhere, supper clubs or not. Between the two cocktails, I basically paid the cost of another steak. That's ultimately why I won't be back. I can get a comparable steak for $40 elsewhere and spend significantly less on drinks. Maybe this was the reason for not many people on a Sunday night. I did reach out to the restaurant directly about the drink pricing and never received a response, which says a lot. read more

We ate here last night, the food and the drinks were great. Owners did a great job in renovating the place to give it the true Northwoods feel. We ate the clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, b roasted chicken and espresso Filet. Everything was cooked perfectly. Stephanie the manager and bartender was great and all of the service was spot on. Making our way around different supper clubs and came across Brandy's Old Fashioned. Not impressed. Yes they did have a relish tray, as all Supper Clubs should, but they left out the cheese and crackers. I had to laugh as a table next to us made the same comment when their tray was delivered. The food was average and I was surprised when I only received 1/2 piece of rye bread with my fish fry. The BIG surprise came when we got the bill! Our bill came to $104.45 for (1) Four Roses Bourbon for $10.00, (1) Woodford Reserve bourbon for $20.00, (1) fish fry for $23.00, (1) Broiled Salmon for $34.00 and (1) wedge salad we split for $12.00. $20.00 for Woodford Reserve? Really? It wasn't even a big pour? I compared it to other receipts I had at home: $9.36 and $12.00 (both generous pours of Woodford). And yes, we dine out multiple times every week and are willing to pay for a good meal when we receive one. This one was not worth $100.00. We won't be back. read more

Was recommended by a friend and had a mixed experience. Deviled eggs were super bland with zero seasoning, so not off to good start. Also, fly buzzing everywhere and neighboring tables cheered when I killed it...there were actually many others in the window well. Kinda gross. Back to the food...tried the Brandy Chicken entree which was totally f different from the description...was described as a chicken breast sautéed in garlic, but was actually a breaded flat cutlet with gravy on top. Went here with high expectations and left with a bit of a disappointment. Staff was very nice and attentive. Relish tray was so so. Martini drinks were very good but a little pricey. French onion soup was good, wedge salad not so. Ordered the coffee filet , medium . Came to table over cooked but what saved it was the taste. Also the smallest 8oz filet ever. Also kind of pricey. Wife has fish which she thought was good. No dessert for us. Would we go back. Maybe but not too soon with hopes they will improve in time. The staff was very attentive and prompt, very nice and professional! However we were originally seated in a round booth that had dirty seats that needed wiping down. We asked for a table and were the seated in the back at tiny tables that were pushed together. The paper menus we are given had obviously been in water, they were all wavy the way wet paper gets, the burgundy ink had run and some of the black ink as well. Not very professional. If I'm paying $60 for Prime rib or $52 for a steak, the menus better be bound in leather. Prices for steaks were quite unrealistic for this venue. The water carafes were disgusting, so stained with hard water spots we didn't want to drink the water. Two of the soup spoons were dirty and had to be replaced The relish tray was pathetic... have you been to an actual supper club? Relish trays at good supper clubs have more than just celery and carrots, they have cheese and a variety of crackers and veggies and cheese spreads. We had planned on ordering steaks but the eye popping prices prevented us from doing that... your establishment is not a 5 star restaurant (yet) most got the fish fry and clam chowder. Everyone had to add salt and pepper to the clam chowder to give it some taste. Need to look for new recipes or provider for that. The fish was ok, just ok. The half piece of thin rye bread on our plates was so stale you couldn't chew it. A full piece of nice fresh buttered rye bread would be much better. The one ribeye steak that was ordered was quite inedible. It was obvious not a rib eye, looked like a store bought sirloin, was very mealy and almost raw. It was also way too salty. All 5 of us only ate part of our meals, had to leave the rest. Hope they can make some improvements. We won't be back. read more

Let the warm vibe, the friendly greeting and wonderful food make your visit as good as mine have been. I have returned several times in the few weeks that they have been open. Great addition to add to your regular Lake Geneva location. You can tell a lot of love, time, and energy went into launching Brandy's. The main dining room/bar area is warm and charming and the back porch area gets great light in the early evening. Menu is typical supper club food. Standouts were the spicy coleslaw, fries, Brandy's chicken and Caesar salad. The staff is incredibly friendly and you get the feeling the whole establishment cares about adjusting in these early weeks as they work out inevitable kinks. Up vacationing in Lake Geneva wanted to get a taste of the local fair so we found Brandys on a local supper club search. Was able take reservations easily using open table, however the standard dinner times (5:30-7:00) were not avaliable? Well this could be a good sign so we took the 5:00 that was avaliable. It was a nice 25 minute drive from where we were staying we pulled up to a small black inconspicuous building in the middle of a community. The parking was kind of strange with some across the street and some on the property. We walked around the building after parking and tried to find the entrance which was not clearly marked. We went in and we're welcome by some very odd stairs from the locals as we waited for the hostess to finish the call she was on. When she got off she asked how many and we told her we had reservations for two. She started taking us to our seats and my wife asked her for a table instead of a booth and she said those are always reserved? We were seated in the back at a very small table which was fine. It was not very crowded, but it was an early seating. The bus boy came and gave us water which by the way tasted like well water. The waitress came next and greeted us and asked us if we were from around there. I said we were just visiting the area to which she seemed annoyed. She was very attentive in fact I would say she was kind of rushing us through service, again fine considering this was the only reservation we could get so everythingwas pointing to this was going to be a busy night. We ordered the French soup and the clam chowder for an appetizer. $8 each and to be honest was not worth the price, I've had better Progresso! It was a Saturday night so we were looking at ordering the special prime rib however after seeing the price of $60 and what the table behind us got for that he decided to go with the ribeye steak and the filet mignon For $52 a piece! We have been to a few supper clubs before and the meal usually included bread a relish tray salad bar soup and meal. This was not the case here! The food was okay but I would definitely say overpriced for what you get. We both did order the brandy Old fashions and my wife's second drink was a Harvey Wallbanger, she had originally ordered the Sidecar but our waitress warned her that it may be too strong for her. Cocktails were okay, we also had a grasshopper cocktail for dessert which again was okay. Another group of diners came in as we were finishing are desserts and had mentioned that the restaurant had changed multiple times in the past and they were hoping this one would last. The atmosphere was kind of A Tale of Two Cities where the front of the house looked like a Supper Club and the back parts where we were seated was an old breakfast diner where they put "all the people from out of town" We were expecting a warm, friendly Wisconsin supper club and we got a cold, start up dinner that the locals as well as the out of towners hope makes it to true Supper Club status but they have a lot of work to do to get there! I had high hopes for this place and it was just ok. The food was good, not great and very expensive. Limited menu. Started with a relish tray, carrots, celery and a few radishes with ranch dressing. Our party of 3 started by splitting a wedge salad. It was fine. It needed more dressing, bacon and blue cheese. Our friend had the fish fry, basic cod fish fry nothing special, he said his baked potato was dry and they charged extra to make it loaded. My wife had the espresso filet. Asked for it medium rare, it was more on the rare side. She enjoyed it none the less. I had the broasted chicken with potato pancakes. It was good. We did have a couple brandy old fashioned. I thought maybe they would put a twist on it being thats the name of the place, but it was just a regular brandy old fashioned you can get anywhere. Our server was friendly. Service was awful our server kept apologizing she's new, if you're going to have new staff don't book them on a weekend! Took her forever to bring drinks let alone take our order, Manager is zero help and couldn't be found when we asked for one. Last time we visited she sat at the bar and did nothing!! Seems to be normal for her to be no help and berate her staff. That place needs better management. If you're going to brag about how you're short staff and have to do everything find another source of income, that's part of being a "general manager" that she brags about consistently, you're suppose to help staff and be supportive not sit at the bar or be outside arguing with what sounded like a boyfriend. read more

I really wanted to like this place and I know we'll give it another chance. There were 4 of us. Two of us had the fish fry - it was good except for the battered coated fries. One had seafood pasta and said it was very good. Another had the boasted chicken - it was good but should have come with the broasted potatoes but again came with those battered fries. Went to Brandy's tonight, very disappointing!!! My wife asked about the white wines and the bartender answered she hadn't tasted them so didn't know which one was dryer. We then ordered the deviled eggs... no taste and clearly they were made the day before. Then we tried the spinach cheese dip, again made at least the day before because when they went to heat it up again instead of being creamy it was broken and just a globe. I tried the French onion soup, it had Swiss cheese instead of gruyere and there was hardly any cheese. If you are going to hold yourself out as a super club, the food better be home made and good. Unfortunately the food was cheap and tasteless. So many other good places to eat in Lake Geneva and plenty of REAL super clubs. If this place doesn't change quick, it won't last. Ok, first impressions are absolutely 100% positive. As a longtime resident and seeing this location change so many times - some good, some not so good, this has an incredible vibe for success! Only recently opened but they have it nailed so far. Food was spot on delicious, appetizers - french onion soup - broasted chicken - steaks were awesome. Service equally amazing. It is hard to find good servers in a resort town because so many restaurants are competing over the best people. However, everyone at Brandy's tonight was hustling and obviously working together closely as a team. To be perfectly honest, it has been a long time since we have seen this level of service, quality of food, atmosphere and such a positive experience in this area. Make a reservation! Great food! What a find! It has only been open about 8-9 weeks so I assume the few low ratings here are just them getting the kinks out. Totally disappointed -- it's all hype. This is a bar, wanna- be supper club, but miles away from that status. Most importantly? I'll start with the food: meh, at best. Nothing to write home about & nothing unique... my filet was an over-cooked hockey puck. So many things went wrong by the time dinner was served, that I didn't even have it in me to complain ... but seriously, they need a chef that knows how to cook. Otherwise, don't plan on lasting very long. Secondly: management & wait staff: green, inexperienced. Our 20-ish year old waitress was clueless. And the manager? Don't even get me started. She couldn't honor the reservation I made weeks prior ... but instead of problem-solving for a customer that would potentially bring regular business? She made useless excuses for everything. My specific request was to sit in booths with elderly parents, and NOT high-tops; but we ended up at high-top tables ... with a blaring spotlight on my dad (who is suffering from Shingles pain in his eye & is uncomfortable). When I asked her to please light the candles for some atmosphere, she gave a lame excuse of being out of batteries (what? For Saturday night? Know your business). The drinks were sub-par, not what we ordered -- my mom told me she was going to be ill the next day because they mixed a whiskey old fashioned when she ordered the classic standby .... errr, ummmm, the name of the restaurant? Hello? And overall, just a very clunky dining experience. Wanted to support a new place, but will not be back unless we hear there is a new chef. If you appreciate an elevated dining experience, skip Brandy's. We tried, but they failed. Go to Pier 290 ... or even Gordy's for better food! Lots of better choices..... very disappointed.
