The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered auto parts a month ago and just received them. I don't know much about cars, so one of the technician guys came outside so I could show him exactly what I wanted to order. I called every week to get a status on my order. The same gentleman that originally helped me, kept side tracking me every time I called but, didn't know it at the time. Apparently on week two he never ordered it or order the wrong parts. Someone else had to call me to tell me about it. It was very upset because I'm driving around with the way my car was looking. Of course, it took a other two week to get the parts in. My husband went to pick it up for me and told him that he had to pay $30 extra which was very upsetting because I had paid everything when I placed the order and they said we had to pay $30 dollars extra for their mistake on the order difference. I had already paid hundreds and now this!!! Too much time was wasted. I'm a very understanding I person especially because I'm in the hospitality business myself. I towed a car for a 80 year old man who was going have them install an engine for him for a $1000. He asked them if he could use their bathroom and they refused. Told him they had no public restrooms. They expected this man to pee on himself. I also asked because I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was true they refused. I took the customer and car back to dc for free. I called the main shop and the lady who answered the phone couldn't believe what occurred. Said they would have manager call back. Never did. I called ahead to see if they had a specific part and they insisted they did. I was well aware that it was a pretty hard to find part for an 80's Ford van equipped w/ a far more uncommon engine then the norm (7.3 IDI diesel) so I asked them repeatedly if they were absolutely sure. I travelled all the way to Brandywine from the northern part of Baltimore and they DID NOT have what I needed and would not give any explanation as to why they had insisted they did during our phone conversation and they showed no remorse for their idiotic, inconsiderate, unprofessional mistake. I was very impressed with the level of service I received from the technicians here. I ended up getting a new part from them and it was a fraction of the cost another repair shop wanted to charge me. I was in and out quickly and they didn't break my bank account. I will use this company for all of my repair needs from this day forward. My family has bought parts from this company for 30yrs plus! Never had an issue! So many negative reviews is very fishy and probably competition! The experience with staff is mixed and often you will deal with a jerk but after the deal there was an issue and the owners of this place had them tell me that I could go pound sand. I will never use this place again. If you live near them then it wouldn't hurt to check them out but the employees that run this place are HAPPY to cheat people. Complete unprofessional they lie about pricing, paid for them to install part as well still have no regard for you, then they forget to even send your part to repair shop and tell you it's nothing they can do. They have a great selection of parts, but they don't give a crap about their customers. I was recently promised a discount on a wheel I had ordered and prepaid, due to the fact that they couldn't find it when I drove down there--45 minutes each way--to pick it up. When I came back a week later to get the wheel, the guy who had made the promise wasn't there, and the lady at the desk just laughed at me ans said she wasn't going t give me any discount, because I had gotten such a good deal on the wheel in the first place. (Which was patently untrue--other used parts stores in the area had quoted the exact same price.) When I spoke to the manager about this, he just shook his head and said that should not have happened. The fact that he wasn't willing to make good on his employee's promise tells me all I need to know about this place: they cannot be trusted to keep their word, and their default position in a dispute is that the customer is wrong. Bottom line: if you go there, make sure you get any promises in writing, signed, on the back of the business card of the person you're talking to. read more

The rear window of my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer needed replacement, the original was shattered by a rock, I called around and one of the places I called was Brandywine Auto parts on Crain Highway. I spoke with an associate by the name of Teddy, My call was answered on the first ring, I explained my problem, he put me on a brief hold, came back that they had the replacement glass I needed. It had to privacy (tinted) and heated (defrost). I brought the car to them the next day on 7/12/16 they installed the glass made sure it worked and I was out in 1 and 1/2 hours. Total cost, $284.00. I could not be more pleased. Excellent service, awesome people, and great work. I will recommended Brandywine to anyone, A huge thank you to Teddy and the people in the glass department. I took the part back he was so busy talking about a restocking fee but if you would have went a little further then I would not have been here having a conversation with you. Recently came this year (2019) to get a repair order done and when I say not one smiling face in that place. Looks like you're a bother to them vs someone there to make money for their business. I got the run around to go pick up my parts (rude customer service there too) and then was told after the fact I would have to bring my car around 2 pm on another day to get the part installed (even though they close at 5 pm) no one informed me of this had I know I would have NEVER thought to bring my car to begin with after all I do WORK. You can't make an appointment your best bet is to call and ask if they're busy according to an employee. Oh best part they're opened Sat but don't repair cars. What a joke. I'm done with this place. I didn't normally buy used used auto parts, but I figured I'd do my part for the planet and save a few bucks. (Ok actually I couldn't get the part anyplace else) I needed a bolt. 1 lousy bolt. 1 lousy bolt that nobody makes and such an odd size I could not get a substitute. AND I HAVE AN AMERICAN CAR!!!! Anyway, I asked about the availability of the part in question, and was invited to "wander around the yard and see what you find" Well I found what I was looking for, 2 actually. So I happily returned to the counter to pay for my bolts. "That's it??" I was asked. "Yep" I replied "a stupid bolt". "Hmm, well have a nice day". That was that. I got my bolt for free. I was so proud of myself. But I have to say it was nice of the guys at BAP to give me a bolt. May seem like just a bolt, but it holds the brake caliper on the front wheel. So a rather important bolt at that. Ok, so that was a nice experience. I decided to go back and see if I could get an A/C compressor. I looked around for a new one but at $450, I thought..."Hmm...Used??" And sure enough I inquired about the part, and 10 mins later a mechanic comes out, puts it in a bag, explains a few intricacies, and sends me on my way for $75. Well, I put it in the car, and it works fine. Now I'm considering this used parts thing...save the planet, save some money..not a bad combination. Ok. the guys at BAP are cool, they can answer any question about just about any type of car, and if they don't have the part, they can locate it anywhere in the country and for a reasonable price. Oh, yes they do warranty their parts for 101 days from purchase. Just keep your receipt. So now I'm thinking used first..maybe you should too. :-) read more

Not a bad place, but you get what you pay for. I bought a used transmission here for my car. The price was great. It took about 3 weeks for them to install it (I think there's a backup since they charge much less than other places that I found in the area). Initially they said the part would have about 50,000 miles on it but when I talked to the people at the installation building they said it probably had more like 70,000 miles on it. I don't remember ever being offered a warranty on the part and I definitely would've bought one. Unfortunately the transmission went after about 18 months so it's not covered under the regular 6 months warranty. Again, the prices are good and I wouldn't necessarily avoid going there in the future but just make sure to get a warranty. read more

Brandywine Auto Parts are the worst used parts place I have ever dealt with in fact one of the worst businesses. I bought a part from them and at the time the salesperson (Bill W.) could not even enter the phone number correctly. I called numerous times to get a status on the part and was told 'we will call you back'. Well the number entered in the system was wrong so all the so called 'calls' never came. I finally got the part about 6 weeks later only because I went to the location in person to check the status. M. Rhoades was very nice until I needed to return the part. Then he just says..."been over thirty days" can't take it back because of policy. Nothing else. I talked to Bill W. about it and was told to take the part to the main office and talk to David about it. For a person that is supposed to be running a business David has zero customer service skills and really is a complete ass. He came out to the counter and I explained the situation and he just says, "30 days return policy nothing I can or will do". The people that work at this place at all levels are complete assholes and have zero customer service skills from the salepeople to the operator. Buyer beware!! Get parts from other junkyards that actually care about customers. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I came in yesterday. After talking to a rude old lady at one counter walked across to the other side of the building. One man told a customer i was taking a sh*t i dont care how long you waited. To which another employee laughs and said "good one" I spoke with one man on the phone he gave me a price of $60 he also said he saved the quote and page for me and asked if i wanted to pay over the phone or in store i said in store. So find him. He didnt save anything or know anything. He tells me to go to Brian the one who thinks sh*t is funny. The quote he gave me for the same part was now 125$ and he said it wouldn't be here for a few days. The other man right next to him told me the next day. I had another vehicle and other parts i needed. But i left .... no one could explain why i was quoted 2 separate prices even though they sat next to each other. Very shady people work here. I'm writing and sending documents to the BBB and the county committee for business. It's to shady and disrespectful i feel violated from what i heard and saw. Just go to autozone.
