Fantastic experience. Your belongings are very safe at this facility. The staff are lovely and so helpful. I greatly appreciate they enforce mask mandates (keeping my property and my health safe!). Everyone must sign in and out at the front door. Very secure. I was storing a kayak and an SUP on a rolling rack. They have units perfectly sized (narrow, deep & tall) for these kinds of items and the price was outstanding. I would highly recommend this business. Back in 2014, I had been renting a very large unit. It contained the contents of a house that I used to rent. We started having problems when our credit cards were being switched by the bank. My mother was the one paying for the storage space, and she lived in a different city at the time. With so many merchants that needed be contacted with a new credit card number, it's not a big stretch to imagine that notifying the storage space fell through the cracks. When the manager tried to apply a payment to the old card it obviously didn't go through. A penalty fee was applied. At the time we were unclear why the manager didn't simply call us find out what was going on. My memory is a little bit hazy of how this particular incident was resolved, but I believe we caused enough of a fuss that they may have eventually waived the penalty fee. As time went on, my mother had to switch credit cards again. And the exact same thing happened. This upset us both. I remember that this second incident made me and my mother very upset. She wanted to immediately get our belongings out of that place. I posted a review on Yelp expressing my opinion. Then the s*** hit the fan. The owner threatened to close my account and evict me from my storage space unless I change the review on Yelp. I did not have the time or the money to rent a truck large enough to move all of my items to a new storage facility. I personally didn't have the money to open a brand new storage space, that's why my mother was covering the costs. Eventually we had to give in to their blackmail. It was cheaper just to pay them and remove the review then to incur all the costs of an unexpected move. I was so happy the day that I moved all of my belongings out of that facility. My father passed away and had 2 large storage units that took us while to empty. The units and facility were clean and easily accessible. John and the woman that works on the weekends (i'm embarrassed I don't know her name) were always friendly. The pricing was very reasonable. I would recommend this storage facility. read more

This place is great. The parking lot is easily to pull into and back up to the loading docks. There is plenty of lighting and a nice large elevator with plenty of extra dolly carts to use. It also looks like it's fitted with a large indoor sprinkler system so that's good. There is a sign in sheet and staff knows who is coming in and who is going out so that also makes me feel safe. Everything is always clean and the staff is always friendly. I've been storing my stuff here for 3 years and I've never had an issue. My mother in law has stored her stuff here for 6 years and she's been happy as well. I definitely recommend this place. A+++ read more

We've been customers for a long time and can't wait to get out. This place is filthy and constantly cluttered with garbage from tenants, and the employees. When you walk into the lobby, there is junk all over the place, and the dark hallways are no different. My wife feels unsafe going there alone because there are always homeless people milling around in the hallways. Go to Public Storage instead. read more

I went overseas to work for a little over half a year, and I knew I 'd be coming back to San Jose. My lease at my crummy apartment was up so the plan was to store my furniture until I got back, and then to find a new apartment. This storage facility was exactly what I needed. The price was really REALLY great, and the people at the front desk were very nice and easy to get along with. Don't let the photo posted on yelp scare you- it seems to have been taken a long time ago and the place is very well-kept. I felt secure in leaving my stuff here, and moving in and out was a breeze. I really don't see why anybody would go to Public Storage, unless they had a strange desire to pay more for the same service. read more

I'm a pack rat. I keep everything and hate to throw things away. Since I didn't want to be profiled on "Hoarders" and I don't live in a mansion with endless space, I looked into storage units. I'm all about value (i.e. cheapest price) so I called a few places and found this place to have the best price. With their 6 months free special (check website), I couldn't find a better price. I was a bit concerned about some of the older reviews, but due to the price I gave it a look. While it's no Bellagio it certainly is sufficient for leaving my stuff into storage. I don't plan on coming in and out a lot, but from my "move in" experience, I didn't have any issues. read more

I'm very pleased with the service and value a Branham Self Storage. Richard checked me in and he was quite pleasant and helpful. He took time to show me several units even though it was almost closing time. Prices are excellent and there is a wide range of sizes/prices to choose from. Parking is far better than the ubiquitus orange and white corporate facilities all around the Branham area. I was also pleasantly suprised when I saw the bill and there were indeed no aditonal fees! I would give a 5th star if the front elevator went to the 3rd floor. All in all a great deal. I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

We used this storage facility for 6 months while we were moving. The people there were extremely helpful with getting us a space downstairs and close to the door. When we realized we needed a second room, the were able to get us one just two spaces down from our first one within a couple days. The price is excellent, much less than Public Storage. The people working there were always very friendly when we went in, some were a little odd, but always friendly. I would certainly use them again if I needed a storage facility. I admit, it's not as professional or clean as Public Storage, but it served us very well and the price was right. read more

The rates were good since they had the special going on and it was lower than what I found advertised in the area. I have had 2 units here for quite some time. When I first got my units, it was because it was less expensive than the competition but as the saying goes: " You get what you pay for!" It was not maintained very well, dingy and creepy because of some of the customers and sometimes procedures were followed and sometimes... Fast forward- The facility has been making upgrades, it is bright and much fresher and DEFINITELY cleaner!!! John and Debbie ALWAYS welcome you when you get there and address any concerns courteously and professionally. It is run like a tight ship now, policies are posted so there are no surprises. There are many storage places to choose from in the area but their customer service standards do not compare to how John and Debbie treat their customers- always pleasant and fair. read more

I've had a decent experience in the last three years I've used Branham storage but be warned they love to increase your rent every year the maximum the law will allow. When I first got there in summer 2012 the hallway lights were missing knobs and it's impossible to turn them on. Problem was finally solved but it took a while. There have been several people in and out of the front desk so that is a bit concerning but the current staff had been friendly and helpful. Hope they stick around. If it wasn't a huge hassle to relocate a 10x10 storage unit I would leave based on the rent increases. If I see another one next summer I will leave. I'm not getting any extra services so why charge more? Just wish they had later evening hours. Some of us work during the day. read more

elevator fix was a good thing, today I was the maiden voyage in it, worked well. Stored items there for over 10 years. Honestly years ago it was because of closeness to where I lived only reason stored things there, the place was a mess, now its clean and professional. Would recommend it as long time customer. Dont be afraid to ask John for a competitive deal, nice guy. -Only real con now I see are the hours, if they work for you great, if not could be a challenge if you need early morning access. -my 4 stars rating is related to the hours for access, a bit of a challenge at times to get there as needed during the week, etc read more

Great rates and awesome customer services! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for storage!! BTW best rate in town because I did my research and this was the best one! The only negative I could think of is that they close early, so if you get there after work it could difficult. Then one day I walked in there and I was singing to myself (not even loud and not in front of him) ..I did it as I was walking up the stairs on the way to my storage. . When I came down he told me"people who sing annoy me and I give them notice ,and if you don't like it you can move out" I was like what??? Who the hell does this Archie Bunker think he is??? It's kinda not fair that this place has bad reviews due to the previous owners BS. I've had my storage unit here for over a year and wouldn't think of going elsewhere. The staff are a delight and so friendly. The prices are around $100 cheaper than any where else I've looked. The facility is SAFE and clean. It doesn't make sense why anybody would not use this place. A girlfriend of mine also has a unit here and she's had hers for, I think around 8 years or so, so she's dealt with the previous owners as well. She's says this place is like night and day now. We both are very happy to be using Branham Storage and wouldn't have it any other way. read more

I have been a customer for about 6 months and have found the management and employees very nice. There is a move in special which was great and the space prices are very affordable. I have gone it at all times of the day while they are open and have always been able to have parking and the use of the carts at the site. The place is great! The rates are reasonable, the people are friendly and they were really helpful moving me in and out. I've been a customer for 8 years and I've never had a single problem in dealing with this business. The place is kept up well despite the move-outs of other tenants who leave some of their stuff behind and the employees are good about getting rid of the excess garbage in the building. read more

We have also been customers for a very long time. When we first obtained our storage unit the complex was very clean and the drop off area was clear for moving in or out of the complex. That is why we decided to rent a unit there. In the last several months (or longer) the place has gone down so much I don't feel comfortable going to our storage unit by myself. The place is such a dump now. There are people loitering and gathering in the office to hang out, smoke and watch tv. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It feels very unsafe now. I, unfortunately need to have a storage unit so I will be moving when I locate a company that has a much safer and clean environment. read more
