Over the years, this has always been our favorite show. It's still a good show. The humor was great, and the music was well presented. The show has moved toward modern country and the traditional music has been left out of the show. It used to be more "hillbilly" but it is country glam/pop nowadays. I miss the old show. read more

Our first visit to the Baldknobbers musical show. The venue is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. The venue is well worn and the concessions area is small. The baldknobber band was extremely good. Being from Nashville, we are accustom to excellent country bands and the baldknobbers band was in step with Nashville musicians. The vocalist were good. The comedian during the show was very funny. They used him perfectly at various times. His Elder Elvis impersonation was fun. The show honored the veterans and had a stirring gospel segment with an excellent tenor singer. It was a wholesome show that lasted a full two hours. read more

I did not care for this show . Would not go back . Not really all that funny and played a lot of song I never heard of.

The baldknobbers were good. I think I would go back again because I like music. The concession food was good. The service was outstanding.

Theater is older but still nice. The only complaint I have is the seats aren't staggered you can't see between the people in front of you. If you are vertically challenged like I am you may have a hard time seeing the stage. There are good shows playing here and plenty of parking. read more

I meant to be a good fan so I put this review off so you wouldn't be confused why I am scarred by this place because of the backstage workers. I've really enjoyed the show here with the appreciation of music. I'm disabled and when the audience was asked about standing up to appreciate the show and dance to show your okay and happy and loving the show. I was really unable to and I know, not everyone knows my situation but basically I don't look disabled and people who have had it out for persons with a certain condition meaning when you see the picture below, you can get irritated by certain people like me who need aiding. I was constantly blinded in the eyes by red light and it would rest on my eyes when the show would wait for a genuine response. I was really hurt then and I won't say when I was there. But I'm just saying this because I do face dangers often because of my own personal circumstances. I just wish people could be aware that I am truthful and trusting. By the way when it was negative weather out, the security guard at your hospital near you asked if I could leave the premises only 30 minutes after being discharged after dying of a severe allergic reaction. My insurance and car was at home because I was using an ambulance. Both these share the distaste for me. I don't know why I'm here but I go through these hardships because I have a strong belief in Jesus Christ atonement. I was chosen I didn't plan anything im an innocent god fearing kid. Left a little disappointed when I purchased the tickets on line for the 2 pm show. We thought we were getting the full show. But the MC repeated several times throughout the show to come back to an evening show that is different and covers a lot come music. We felt just a little mislead. The show was nice. When we decided to come back to Branson Missouri we had a few things to do and people to see.i guess you could call it our Bucket List. The person at the top of our bucket list was Reza. Well tonight we got the chance to see this Master of Illusion. Let me start by saying the show sold out and was packed. Im always skeptical about magic tricks and study's but this guy is the real deal. He did things we didn't think was even possible. Getting chained up and locked in a box and getting out and the girls in the box chained up instead of him. Pushing his body through a solid piece of metal. Making a helicopter appear out of nowhere, and the list goes on and on. But most of all the best about Reza is his personality. Sharing with all of us How and why he became a magician.His interaction with the audience was amazing he made all of us feel like part of the show. This is definitely a must see in Branson Misssouri or anywhere where Reza will be performing. You can thank me later. read more

The singers were great as well as the band. The pre show comedian was very good. I really liked the hillbilly comedian who would come on stage off and on. I would rather see more of him and more comedy acts than singing, though. There are plenty of singers in Branson. The Biden skit was funny (unless you're a fan of his). Look, a relative of mine is the emcee here. No way I'd joke about something like this. He's not a close relative-- in fact, I've never said two words to him-- but I know he's related to the side of my family that finds overalls to be socially acceptable wedding attire. Seriously. Why would I make this up? Anyway, the Baldknobbers show has been around longer than anyone reading this. It's Branson's first stage-production (unless you believe the lies that the Presley's down the road are selling). Basically, it's part play, part musical and part Hee-Haw come to life. There's a lot of patriotism, a lot of God, and an audience filled with silver haired people whose dentures get hard with all of the wholesomeness. And that's not bad. It's just not for me. Nor most people under 70 who hail from a town where the population outweighs the average age. But it's good at what it does. It's slick. It's corny. It's friendly and engaging and like it or not, it does hearken back to a corner of my youth. You know, the one where I wanted a confederate flag on my t-shirt because I thought it looked cool and was only dissuaded by my father's stern 'no.' The last time I came here, it was on vacation with my fiancee... Part of a Branson-travel package deal. You get to pick a show, and a few days at Silver Dollar City. For some inexplicable reason, I demanded that we see the 'Knobbers. We made it until intermission before we decided we could take no more. In the car, on our way back to the cabin, we wondered if the performers realized that the two youngsters in the front row were missing when they came back from break. Sadly, they're probably pretty used to it. You know, supposing that two 20 somethings have gone willingly to one of their shows before. read more

This was the first time I have ever seen the Baldknobber show but hear about it being a Branson icon. I have also seen other shows since moving here a couple months ago and overall this was the most disappointing so far. My son (age 21) wanted to leave at intermission but we stayed in hopes it would get better. For us the lead (Brandon) seems like one of those family businesses where it was his turn to take over because he has the name but not really the talent to maintain the audience. Singing was ok, but if the female singers are married to or part of the legacy clan it would seem they would be more friendly to each other. They would sing next to each other but not really interact much. The comedy was just one liners and only from one person, never did see "Hargas" who appears in many of the pictures. One aspect on the comedy that I took offense to was an entire skit about percentages which was taken directly from Ma and Pa Kettle who did it so much better and were the genuine characters. Just because they have been the oldest act in Branson does not mean they are the best. For a Thursday night they had a hard time filling 1/3 of the theater compared to other shows recently where all seats were filled. My two stars are mostly based on the Yelp name: Meh, I've experienced better. Save your money and check out some of the other options in the area. Positive notes - the pre-show guy was great (sorry don't remember his name) and the patriotic music was good. read more

We came here for family vacation and went to the show. It's okay but really needs to be updated with better jokes and the band needs to engage with the show more. It seems as if the band didn't want to be there so it was distracting thru the whole show. It would be great if they would add some jokes and stuff to break up all the singing in the first half of the show. A little revamp and it would be a better show!! read more

I wish I would have read the other review before we left. The other review is completely accurate. I thought from the advertising that shows the comedians on the pamphlets that the show would be more comedy & not much singing, but alas it wasn't. I'm not against the singing, but if I'm going to go to a show like that I want to see one with actual stars. The singers are actually very good & I think they should come up with their own songs as they are better than any American Idol performer & I think they could go far with that. read more

Baldknobbers is a great family show. They are kid friendly and possibly Branson's nicest family. I just wish they would update some of the things in the theater like better AV and some of the slides used in performances. The hidden secret in this cast are the three ladies in the show.
