    Fried shrimp

We stopped in here for the first time. My wife's daughter recommended this place to us so we wanted to give it a try. Kathey chose the fried shrimp with some fried okra and the Lima beans. My pick was the seafood combo of grilled shrimp and scallops with potato salad and some corn. Hush puppies were served with each dinner. The food was really good and very hot! The service was great as well. We will return for sure!

Nice home town restaurant that serves breakfast till 10:45 am.

Great place for food! Has a breakfast buffet on Saturday. For $8.75 all you can eat. Its small but still cool and clean. Clean bathrooms and service is wonderful. Everyone is friendly. Food is super fast too and when we went it was pretty busy in the morning. I would stop by this place again for a quick bite to eat. I would recommend getting the home fries instead of the hashbrowns. The Hashbrowns are like ones from McDonald's or the frozen ones from walmart. They also sell homemade pies for $12.00.

Tartar sauce on the table. That sounds awesome to me.

Not good at all. Dinning room was dirty. Food was really subpar. Not good service at all. Maybe a bad day ,but I will never know.

Always a good meal and service. The small, family owned and run restaurant has great food the 3 buffets on the weekend are to die for.

Nothing fancy. Just good food, service, and friendly atmosphere. Menu has many choices and the buffets are good.

All 3 of us enjoyed what we ordered and it came out hot and fresh. The fish and chips were delicious, the burger was cooked perfectly and my chicken gyro was really good with fresh veggies and great crinkle fries on the side, the chicken was also marinated well. It's super casual inside, with local artwork for sale on the walls. Local hangout with a nice little bar . Parking can be tricky, but you can find some around the building. There are not many places to eat in Oriental so I'm glad this one has gotten so much better!

There's a large screened in porch for those who want outside dining without the bugs. There's counter service and plenty of seating, including a back dining room. The furniture is a bit dated and worn, but the food more than makes up for any aesthetics. My fish was buttery and fried to perfection. The breading was well-seasoned, and the tartar was creamy. The Cajun grill platter was huge and flavorful. The tuna came out a perfect medium, and the shrimp were the star. My man finished his plate in 7 minutes while raving about the remoulade. Our server was wonderful, and we'll definitely be back!

Chelsea greeted us and welcomed us in. Full disclosure. I had a cold, and was not feeling my best. Somehow, Chelsea made me feel like she would make sure I got what I needed. From bringing extra wasabi, to creating an appetizer that wasn't on the menu, she and the kitchen staff made us feel special. Hubby had the steak, 10/10. Same with the fried oysters. I had the tuna tataki, and with the extra wasabi I could finally breathe lol. My daughter had the chowder and a crab cake. She wasn't feeling well either but the chowder was so good she took it to go. Highly recommend if you're near Oriental NC.

I ordered a clam chowder and a burger w/ sweet potato fries. As someone who lives in New England I am happy to say this is a delicious chowder. To my liking; a thick broth and the right amount of fixings of clams, potatoes, and other ingredients. I would recommend not using the saltine crackers, not needed. Ordered my burger rare and it came out as I ordered it. Sweet potato fries were good too. We ordered a key lime pie for the table and was very good! For one of two restaurants in town I would recommend making reservations to be on the safe side.

Ceilings were covered with draping American flags that had a cool visual effect. They have an extensive whiskey menu and a nice selection of local brews on tap. I tried one of the local brews: Beerista, a white stout from Shortway Brewing Company. It had a good nose of coffee and vanilla but it wasn't carried through on the sip. It was a lot lighter in texture than a traditional stout. For food I had the short rib. It was seasoned well and was super tender. The side of potatoes were tasty but on the border of being too salty. Green beans were average. They were good to counter the saltiness from the potatoes. I'd probably would give this place another shot if nearby.
