We spent a weekend at Brasada in early November, and will return this winter, summer, spring, fall, whenever. If you're thinking of a getaway near Bend, this is your spot. Brasada has everything you want: Great food, luxury accomodations, great staff, activities for the whole family--all in one of the prettiest spots imaginable with spectacular views. We stayed in the Ranch House. Families and bigger groups will probably want to consider renting cabins there, as they offer more bedrooms. The Ranch House is more of an inn set up, but was perfect for a couple's getaway. The room was lovely with every luxury amenity including major views. We were steps away from a fire pit and an outdoor hot tub. The staff was warm and welcoming as could be. We were there in what might technically be considered "off season" but the staff felt very on. (As did the weather. Bend in November is a welcome getaway from the Portland area.) The food was sublime. The menu is the brainchild of the former executive chef from The Little Nell in Aspen (read: beyond world class). We ate at the Ranch House restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days running and didn't tire of it. The Ranch House was a really special place. It's a sort of gathering place for the community, and we met a number of local homeoweners. There's also a living room set up with fireplace and TV where we may or may not have spent much of one afternoon watching college football. (OK, we did. Go Irish.) Golfing was terrific and the golf staff very accomodative. And the spa onsite was marvelous. Overall, we felt simultaneously at home yet pampered. We've been to Pronghorn and other areas in and around Bend, but we'll come back to Brasada again and again. We'll be back, Brasada. We'll be back. read more

This review is for the spa - I had a fabulous pedicure with Tiffany who is a master at foot massage. This was the MOST relaxing pedi I have ever had! The view from the nail room is of the parking lot, but that didn't matter as I had my eyes closed the whole time, sipping lavender champagne. So nice! read more

We went to Brasada Ranch's Easter brunch today, a buffet in a restaurant called the Range. I made reservations six weeks ago and confirmed them yesterday. When we arrived exactly on time, the hostess and her system had never heard of us. After a wait of about 20 minutes, we were seated. The food as OK, good but not great; certainly not polished. The Bloody Mary was delish. Service was slow. All in all, I think the brunch was, at $49 each before beverages, significantly overpriced. read more

This place is amazingly beautiful. Comfortable, well stocked, and very homey... not like most cabin/vacation home rentals. The restaurant was fabulous, as was the service everywhere. The outside fire pits were lots of fun for our group, and only made the place seem that much more special. We will certainly be back! read more

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful ranch! We went over New Years Eve and enjoyed a delicious dinner and fun afterparty! We enjoyed our time in the hot tub looking at the incredible stars. Jessica at the activities desk and Bo in the restaurant took excellent care of us when there was an issue with our reservation. I also took a super fun horseback ride! I got to go with the owner of the horse program, Chris. He was a very knowledgeable guide who was also quite insightful about life. The horses were well cared for and the ride itself had amazing views of the surrounding mountains. We will definitely be coming back here! read more

This place is amazing, beautiful venue. Our server, the beautiful Stef, was so attentive and funny. I had the flat iron steak, and my girlfriend had lentil sandwich. The steak was so tender and full of flavor, and for vegetarian food the sandwich was pretty darn good! You definitely need to try this place out if you haven't. read more

The facilities are amazing, however, completely disappointed in the food and service at the Ranch House restaurant. Every time we have been there the service has been beyond bad. Servers who cannot answer the simplest questions about the menu, and do not offer to find you an answer. Waited over an hour for a meal for two to arrive... never came back during the meal to make sure it was o.k. or if we needed more drinks... Food came out cold... (We've had this experience multiple times over several years) And at $20-$25 an entree, there is a higher expectation than this. Totally not worth it. Buy a bottle of wine and watch the sun set on the patio, but don't waste your money or mood dealing with the service. read more

Paul took us on a hour and half trail ride. It had absolutely beautiful views! Paul was great with two 7 year olds and myself, he put them at ease and kept them entertained. I would suggest this ride to anyone visiting Central Oregon! Chris and his staff go above and beyond. read more

My wife and I stayed at Brasada ranch 3nifhts in April '15 for our 1 year anniversary. Nice place, amazing view of sisters and high desert terrain. I loved the how everything was obviously upscale but not snooty. Great accommodations- anything you'd want. Staff were helpful, friendly, and overall relaxing. The recreation center is AMAZING!!! Pool, kids center with everything, saunas, jacuzzi outdoor AND indoor heated salt pools, slide, kiddie pools, fitness center, everything. Great addition. However I have some problems. My wife n I wanted to make s'mores out our back porch in the gas pit (nice touch btw guys liked it). Restaurant charged $14. For 8 graham crackers 4 chocolate squares about 1" square and four marshmallows!!! SERIOUSLY?! $7 for a brownies sundae that was tiny and mediocre. Restaurant is WAY too spendy I think. Resort or not that's ridiculous. They charge for seemingly everything! Secondly they advertise the rooms but do not tell you that they're all different! Only one room has the tub. Now the rooms are very nice, but I think the website needs more information about the room you book. Noises in the night, stiff beds, and kinda wished we had a walk through or maybe just a room description sheet because had no idea bout different features of room (like fireplace remote). I gave 3 stars because I felt the restaurant was ridiculous and 14$ s'more kits, noises in the night, and beds a little firm I think. Idk maybe I'm just straining at gnats here but the s'more thing pissed me off. Made me feel like stealing something to get my money's worth, but I didn't cuz that ain't right. This place started out promising. Beautiful scenery, a lot of things to do for kids and adults, but it ended up being one of the worst experiences ever. We've stayed at a lot of nice resorts and expected this to be great, but I'm not sure if we'll ever return. We had a group of 12, family consisting of adults and kids. We came during Thanksgiving and had Thanksgiving dinner at the ranch. We had reservations and got seated almost an hour late. Food was mediocre at best for the price. Service was terrible and slow. The next experience was even worse. My father in law played 18 holes the day after Thanksgiving. He kept catching up to a group of three after making the turn and at one point they said he should play through them, and he agreed since he was a onesome. After teeing off the group rushed up on him and one guy hit my father in law's ball off of the green. At one point some douche bag in the group of three said he was a Marine and threatened to kill him. They were somehow upset that he kept catching up to them. Throughout the next couple of holes one of the group of three kept saying he wanted to fight him and used pretty inappropriate language. A fight almost broke out several times and my father in law had to call the pro shop. One of the employees came out and told the other group to calm down and stay back. My father in law spoke with the golf manager afterwards and they said the individual who kept making the threats "had a short fuse" and "he's a member." Unfortunately it sounds as though it's normal behavior for this guy and the club has never done anything to reprimand this him because he's a member. When we first arrived we were thinking how great it'd be to purchase a vacation home here, now we never plan on returning. There were some great experiences we had as well, but unfortunately the bad experiences outweighed the good. I read the Rules and Restated Regulations for the Club and a member broke multiple rules and harassed guests. Multiple people we met while there were friendly, but unfortunately one member ruined the experience for all of us. After spending several thousand dollars, we won't be returning. read more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in late May as part of our Crater Lake/Bend road trip. The ranch is a bit off the beaten path, about 25 minutes from downtown Bend but we never found the drive to be too far. Driving up to the property felt high end, horses, ponds and a pristine golf course overlooking the valley with snowy mountains in the distance. Once checked in, we headed to our room, #6 in the Ranch House. So the Ranch House has a bit of a quirky setup. There are 3 floors, top and bottom have suites while the middle floor has the restaurant. With such a serene setting, it was a bit disheartening that we had loud patrons, children running around, and servers moving tables around that could all be heard from our room. I am not one to complain and I feel like there is nothing Brasada could have done had I complained. The aquatic center was great, we used the pool a day and the workout area had many newer machines to work out on. We ate at the restaurant once and ordered to go another night. Food was good and decently priced. Quick thanks to server Adam, he was was so nice and genuine, and remembered me the next day when I came up for our to go order. My only regret is not bringing my clubs, the course and range looked great. Perfec stay! read more

So excited to take my wife here for Valentines Day.. planned it way ahead, didn't tell her where we were going. Get to the restaurant read the menu, AMAZING exactly what they advertised and well worth the $77.00 a plate!!! Great wait staff great surroundings... then comes the food. NOPE.... salad was blah, risotto wasn't cooked sent it back they sent me more uncooked risotto, my wife's crab agnolotti was raw as well, but she ate it because she was starving because the kitchen was taking forever, steak comes out, cook to perfection but absolutely ZERO salt and prosciutto layered on top that tastes like they fished it out of the garbage, OLD and nasty. Dessert was okay. Best part of the meal was the champagne... SO DISAPPOINTED. Left the wait staff a generous tip as they definitely did their job, but with the understanding that the kitchen did not get a dime. Literally I've had better food at a Carls Jr, I am accustomed to fine dining.. this was high school cafeteria food at best. Will never return.. read more

I would never come here to eat even if it is the only restaurant around there. Me and my husband drove up there for our anniversary and the place is beautiful the sunset was breathtaking. The first few moments there were great until we went to look for our cabin their not marked clearly. We were in room B but the rooms weren't marked so we had to check every room with our key hoping we don't disturb anyone. The evening got better when we went out to eat that was an experience. When we walked in we walked over to the bar because it was unclear were to go or sit. It was after we waited 10 min that some guy walked up to us and asked what's going on here? Not hello how can I help you or anything in that sort. We told him we were here for dinner he said the wait is 40 min and than left. We had two other ppl walk up to us and finally take our drink order. Yea, we paid ALOT ALOT for our dinner and the customer service was HORRIBLE and the food wasn't that great. For the amount of money we are spending there they can't even train their staff or get them decent uniforms. Yea next if there will be a next time we will drive out and go to Diego's to eat. read more

Great place for a family getaway. The staff is extremely accommodating. This is a place in the summer to golf, mountain bike, hike, and lounge by the pool. If is definitely not a party spot but rather a great hangout. You are 1/2 hr from anything but resort prices are not eye-gouging ($7 drafts, store is reasonable for milk/standards) or you can come prepared-they do not mind BYOB from neighboring breweries, grills/stocked kitchens, grocery stores. The rental bikes are abused Treks but the trails are decent. We will definitely come back. read more

This place is perfection. Pricey perfection, but perfect nonetheless. Gorgeous main ranch house, fire pits scattered through the property for cozy evenings. Lovely, spotless gym. One indoor lap pool, 2 gorgeous outdoor pools w rocky landscape in keeping w the natural landscape. Poolside food and drinks available. Pool has a big slide for the kids. Property is beautifully designed in keeping w central Oregon vibe. Didn't do the spa, just too pricey at $140 a massage. Will def come back. 5 star property without the snob and overdone factor. The spa at Brasada is amazing. I attended a bachelorette party for my future daughter-in-law on July 13, 2017, which was arranged by the bride's sister in Canada. From the moment the 11 of us arrived, Michelle greeted us, answered all questions, and set us up to receive our treatments. She was available for any help that we needed and very easy to work with. She always had a smile on her face and treated her customers like royalty. I know it wasn't easy to arrange treatments for all of us and all all of the party loved their individual services. My massage therapist (I'm sorry I don't have her name) listened to my wants and provided one of the best massages I have recieved. The overall atmosphere in the spa was relaxing with complimentary tea, spa water, lavender cookies (yum!!). A big Thank you to Michelle, all of the massage therapiste, manicurists, and estheticians for making this day a day to remember! read more

OK the carpets in the cabins and the decor could be updated, I'm not going to lie. But everything else about this ranch is awesome. The staff were amazing. The food was amazing. I bet the spa is amazing though I didn't have time to visit it because I was there on business. The beds are comfortable the sheets are amazing the hot tub's are amazing. I arrived at 9 PM at night and my cabin light was on which was so comforting because it was extremely dark outside. I will be back here for a vacation one day soon! read more

My family of 6 - 4 adults and 2 kids age 9 - spent 5 nights here in July. I would have given it 5 stars if you never had to come in contact with the ladies at the front desk lobby. Rude- I watched as they basically dismissed a couple who had driven in to inquire about the property. I was amazed when they argued with me over the phone about where our cabins trash bin was located. I was relieved when the man who came to pick up our garbage shared with me that our row of cabins didn't have any! We had two maintenance issues which we alerted the front desk to and we were told they didn't have anyone to look at it. When we ran in to the gentleman who had helped with the garbage issue and mentioned it to him he came and fixed it easily. Everything else was heavenly. The staff running the activities counter coudn't have been more helpful or friendly. The facilites were clean,comfortable and we all enjoyed the amenities. I took my two kids on a trail ride. I could have stayed all day! So nice, so professional, such happy horses. TOP NOTCH Food- fantastic. Our last night we enjoyed the Chef's dinner outdoors. We had a table on the grass overlooking the horses. They had hoola hoops and bubbles for the kids and our lovely waitress even challenged them to a headstand contest! Cabin - we had the large four bedroom close to the pool. It was new and lovely. So well thought out. Very sparse kitchen items and hopefully they will add but we loved it. Golf - beautiful Fishing - fun for all (maybe not the fish) Biking ,walking,hiking - beautiful trails and lots of options It was a fantastic vacation and we look forward to coming back - maybe I will call the activities center to try to book. My family has come here every summer or fall for the past four years and it's the thing I look forward to most every year. We stay in the cabins, which are exceptionally comfortable and have great kitchens for folks like who like to use vacation as a reason to get in some home cookin'. But then again, if you're feeling like eating out, you can actually get great food from the Ranch House! (When was the last time resort restaurant food was actually delicious?) Go in for the seasonal flatbread and do not miss the 100% house-made s'mores. I don't know that there's ever been a request we've made that the Brasada staff haven't accommodated. Want to switch your cabin cleaning day? No problem. Need extra desert sage lotion (their signature scent that basically now smells of pure joy to me)? It's on the way. We so enjoy this place that my brother and his lovely fiancee were married at Brasada just this past October 2018, and it was beautiful. If you're looking for a destination wedding that strikes the perfect balance between elegance and central Oregon country chic, this is it. Already can't wait to go back next year. read more

This place is nice but the lodge needs to work on what they are actually offering. No two rooms are the same and some are definitely better than others. Not to say they aren't great but the one we initially got was no where near what we thought we were getting. I know it sounds petty, but we wanted a soaking tub as pictured on their site. The room had nothing but a stand in shower. It's weird that the obviously have several different levels of room but charge the same and getting one with a tub is by chance only. The management was very responsive to this since we booked a while out and it was our anniversary. They went above and way beyond to make it a special occasion for us. The location is absolutely beautiful. The amenities are ridiculously nice. If you are staying there, upgrade to the cabins, you won't regret it. read more

Wow. So disappointing. So incredibly beautiful and so incredibly expensive. The food was horrible. I ordered the lamb ragu and it was horrible: the tomatoes were canned and the pasta cold. The service at every single location on the ranch was sub-par. It's as though every employee assumes since each guest has no other choice but to either dine and drink on the ranch or drive 20/30 minutes to get any other option, that taste and service don't matter. The food was awful, the service tragic, at the pool I had to go to the bar to both place my initial order and (30 minutes after asking the pool-side server for my tab) close out my tab, because she forgot about me. The pool staff and wait staff in general, in their own words, is understaffed, with two servers manning the entire pool, so it's little wonder she forgot. The concierge was a joke. I asked for a new vanity mirror because the bulbs were burnt out, and they said "right away" and two days and a note to house keeping later, we left without a new mirror. We finally went into downtown Bend for fantastic food and drinks. Save yourself the money and stay closer to downtown. Brasada is a tragic waste of time and amazing views. Two stars for the venue and absolutely nothing more. read more
