My husband and I got married at Brasada Ranch two years ago, and since then we've been back every year from Chicago. This place is an absolute gem! We had guests flying in from all over the world, and everyone agreed that this was a gorgeous corner of America unlike any place they'd ever seen before. The spacious ranch house suites are perfect for couples, while the cabins are better for families or groups. Every meal we've had on site has been outstanding through the years, including the meals served over our wedding weekend. Best of all is the Brasada Ranch staff, who seem genuinely happy to be there and were unbelievably helpful even through unforeseeable wedding mishaps. read more

Although the resort is lovely, I have to admit the lunch I had today was less than stellar. Our group ordered a variety of items from the lunch menu that were good. I ordered the open-faced tuna sandwich with fries. It was not worth eating..... The fries were horribly overcooked and it was pretty apparent the dish was "Nuked" in the microwave. The bread was so tough from the microwave, I couldn't cut through it with the knife. The tuna was runny/greasy in nature. Two of us had coffee and had to ask twice for a spoon to stir it - only got one spoon for 2 people. The waiter asked how everything was - I told him my order was not fit to eat and it was obvious, for only two bites taken from it. He basically blew it off and made to attempt to offer to make things right and we still got charged for it. After our group left, I went into Bend and got my lunch there. Highly disappointed! I've eaten here a number of times, but if this is a sign of how things are going to be, I may have to switch up to another venue for lunches..... Maybe it's the training of the staff? I mean, every now and then, even the best restaurants can mess up and turn out a terrible dish.....but for our server to act like nothing is wrong? Unacceptable. read more

Amazing place! Went for a quick girls trip, the cabin we rented was incredible, very well appointed and beautiful. The staff was friendly, welcoming and made great suggestions on things to do. Terry, at the front desk in particular was fantastic. We spent time at the spa and it was worth every penny! The property is stunning, and Terry even made sure we knew where to get carrots to feed the horses. Top notch stay, we will be back for sure! read more

What a round. Incredible course. The guy in the pro shop was fantastic and the cart guy was a gem. The starter was also a really nice guy. I will leave a single complaint, the Marshall on the course was a jerk. Multiple times we were told to speed up BUT we were waiting on the group ahead of us the entire round - not to mention the cart had gps and read we were on pace each time we checked. What's the deal with Marshall's that want to be cops? I was with a group of experienced golfers and it was if he had a problem with us all. Otherwise 5 stars. I'd recommend the course to anybody I know. read more

Me encanta this place!!!! This is our 2nd time visiting Brasada Ranch, and this is now definitely a once a year trip for my husband and I. It's super chill atmosphere, very beautiful property. There's just enough things for you do, but not so much to where u feel pulled to try and do so many things during ur stay. For that reason, we love this place as our end of the hectic summer stay. The suites our gorgeous and crazy comfortable. We haven't rented a cabin yet, but took a tour; and hoping to stay in one end of 2014. We'll definitely be back for 2014 read more

Loved my stay here each time. I've stayed in two different cabins, and on the top floor of the ranch house is the first room. The staff is always courteous, helpful and friendly. The food at the ranch house is very good, and they have a large selection of local brews and wines. The food is a little expensive, but with the closest decent restaurants being 10-15 miles away, it's a good option after a long day. The cabins have everything you could possibly need, even for a extended stay. I was here for a month and a half, and the fact that I had a full size fridge, grill, dishes, washer/dryer, etc. really made all the difference. The atmosphere of Brasada is pretty amazing as well, the stars at night are unbelievable, and the sunsets and sunrises are always gorgeous. They have regular events as well. I saw a couple bands play here, and played some night golf with glow in the dark balls. So much fun! The athletic center has tons of exercise equipment, as well as multiple pools and hot tubs. Not to mention, just about every cabin has its own personal hot tub. Highly recommend the Brasada, and would absolutely stay again! read more

We rented a cabin at the ranch for a weekend since a family member was getting married here. The grounds are lovely and the view of the mountains is fabulous. You can see stars at night. This would be a fun place to ride my bike; I should have brought it! The cabins were nice and well-appointed. We had a big deck and took full advantage of the hot tub. However the light fixtures inside were all incredibly dim. Even when we turned on every light in the place it was very dark. This was especially a problem in the bathroom when we were trying to get ready for the wedding. I advise that you bring some light bulbs with you if you stay in a cabin here. At the reception in the barn the various courses were not brought to the table all at once but over a period of half an hour, which was weird, and not what the bride and groom had requested. Other things went wrong too, I found out later. This is a beautiful place and a great getaway if you can afford it. read more

My family went to Brasada to see Santa. It was an amazing experience. I would give it six stars if I could. We walked up and hopped right on a horse carriage ride with Christmas carols. Then we met the best Santa I've ever seen. It was the first time my daughter didn't cry! He was so friendly and even remembered her name on the way out. We finished with a wonderful breakfast. The food was amazing and service was so fantastic. Kirk & Ashely were our servers and they did great with my very excited kids. I have two toddlers so when I have a great experience (which doesn't seem to happen often) it means the word to me. It was a magical morning and I can't tell enough people about it, which is why I am yelping. Brasada is a gem just a short skip away from Bend. Definitely go and enjoy yourself. read more

As residential members of Brasada Ranch for over a year now, we decided to have a winter-Christmas wedding in the most comfortable, beautiful places around us and why not a few blocks from home. We had a small, very quaint wedding with just our immediate family. The staff was very helpful, gave us our privacy but when we needed something they picked up the slack. Absolutely loved the food, accommodations, and service. For the time I spent at the ranch I ate every meal there and it was simply amazing. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and great flavor. Tried food away from the ranch and it wasn't nearly as good. Looking forward to my next visit. I recommend trying the panna cotta, fresh cookies (the spa has fresh made lavender shortbread cookies which you may be able to request at the restaurant), and whatever they're smoking is usually fantastic as well. read more

OK everyone - This is the best-kept secret in Deschutes County. Stop wasting your time with fancy hotels downtown, or cute little lodge resorts in Sisters. Brasada Ranch definitely has it going on! We love Brasada Ranch so much and have been coming here for years. We have stayed in cabins and the ranch house rooms both. This year the ranch house room definitely could've been cleaner. 1 day we were out of our room and ready for housekeeping from 10:30-4 and when we returned our room still wasn't clean. Other than that it was another great stay. For the price one pays though, the housekeeping should be better. read more

Only negative thing we experienced was at breakfast in the ranch house restaurant, my husband ordered his eggs "over easy" and they came back with the egg white still raw and gelatin like, basically see through... The egg was basically raw; this was disappointing because you'd think a nice upscale restaurant at a resort would have chefs that know the basics of cooking eggs properly. Other than that though, My husband and I went here for our honey, the ranch is versatile in the way that it can be romantic, but turn around and it can also be a great family spot to hang out. Amazing views of the three sisters mountain range and the staff have been awesome and very helpful. All of the staff were very nice! read more

We had a late seating for a pris fixe Thanksgiving dinner. The food was good, but in spite of the limited menu, the service was extremely slow. We arrived early for our reservation, but weren't seated until 25 minutes after. Our order was taken promptly but it took 20 minutes for my drink to arrive. A hidden gem. Normally I avoid resorts, especially golf resorts (which this is) but this place is very tastefully designed and thoughtfully scripted. Great staff. It is a middle of nowhere location but has all the amenities most people would want, in a quiet setting. Great kids pool. The well appointed cabins are thoughtfully located for decent privacy. The food is good and reasonably priced. I didn't feel 'nickel and dimed' here...meaning theres a (thankful) absence of resort pricing and extra charges for parking, Internet etc - which just gets old. Well done Brasada! read more

After staying with my family at Brasada Ranch for the last four days I felt compelled to write a review so other visitors would know exactly what to expect. We rented one of the large multiple family units as we are three couples. The unit was a perfect size for our family but out of the four days we were there a cleaning person never showed up - not once. We never received fresh towels or amenities after our initial check in. We want to stress to anyone wanting to book at Brasada Ranch - this is definitely a family vacation spot. The place was busting at the seems with children. This is definitely not the place to stay for a quiet or romantic vacation. The service at all the restaurants was bad. At their nicer Resturant (where a main averages $30) after we were seated at our table no one came back for 15 minutes. The food that night was probably the best out of all the meals we had at Brasada Ranch. But overall the food was below average. At breakfast everything moved at a snails pace and it was very confusing as we were the only ones at the Resturaunt. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, just poorly trained. All of our food came out plate by plate with a 15 minute difference between the first to the last plate. We had a wonderful horse back ride. The staff were so friendly and knowledgable. One of the activities that we were dying to do was to fish in one of their stocked ponds. I went by the activities center many many times to try and rent fishing poles but they were always being used and they would not allow you to make a reservation to use them. I have to say, this perplexed me as you were able to make reservations for everything else. I guess you are expected to spend your vacation waiting at the activities desk for hours until someone returns a pole? This is really poorly organized. On the last day of our stay I was bummed out that I was not able to fish so I went to the activities desk and asked the woman working there how many fishing poles they made available to hotel guests. It was quite obvious that she did not want to give me a number. I had to ask her multiple times until she finally said "we usually have 12 but most of them are broken." Right. We stayed at Brasada Ranch over the 4th of July. When we arrived we read signs that there was going to be a 4th of July BBQ. How wonderful! Only hitch was that it was sold out. Could you imagine booking into a hotel where you are paying $1,225 a night to be told that you could not get a reservation to the 4th of July BBQ? Outrageous. After some serious strong arming they squeezed us in at 6:15. Turns out the joke was on us. For all the trouble we went through to get a reservation to their 4th of July BBQ we found it to be the absolute worst BBQ food we have ever consumed. The beans were not cooked and were watery. The brisket was tough and you could barely cut through it with a knife. The ribs...we don't even know what kind of BBQ sauce that was but being a former smoker I can tell you that it tasted like a Marlboro light. All the meat was overcooked. We understand that the quality of food sometimes suffers when catering for a large group of people but this was bad bad bad. The live music was absolutely wonderful. Great band, they definitely made the night. All in all not one of us can figure out how they received Best Resort in the Pacific Northwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This could be such a wonderful hotel if they invested in properly training their staff, raising the quality of their food, and working out kinks. There were just too many misses. read more

This review is for the massive disconnect between the great facilities and the sub par services. 1. Great facilities 2. Pool and pool staff awesome 3. Kids loved it. 4. Won't be back however for the following reasons - a. Spent the best part of the first day trying to get a decent mattress into my $400 per night cabin. Nothing like wasting a couple of hours of your holiday being told no, and so on and so forth until you get the GM on the horn, and he has to come up and change out your mattress b. Housekeeping is lousy. FIrst they never seem to remember to come to my cabin on the third day. I have to call to remind them? Finally, in a 10 day stay they can never get their act together to get us towels for our room. Really?? $400 per night and I "borrowing"towels from the pool. You get the idea. c. Everything is always booked out. This must be the last bastion of making a booking for everything. Cowboy dinner for the kids? Sorry booked out. Campfire dinner on Thursday night (we called Monday)? Sorry booked out. But can I recommend some restaurants in Bend, should you want to drive 50 miles for dinner? No thanks. d. Dinner at either of the two restaurants? See above. they are always booked out. e. The capper was walking into the restaurant dripping wet at 4:45 on Sunday afternoon and being told they were booked out. Jeff the Restaurant manager seems to delight in saying no, certainly he has no interest in turning a table. Likes to look at his book of reservations like this is the French Laundry. Which it isn't by the way. Although similar in price ($12 for a kids pizza on the kids menu?? Are you serious?) To cut a long story short, my kids and I ate dinner on the floor in front of the fire, while the restaurant remained completely empty for an hour. When you are making guests who are paying $400 plus per night eat on your carpet because they have not made a booking at your empty restaurant, you are failing on many levels. This is why I advise taking all your top dollars elsewhere. If you want to charge top dollar, you need to be a lot better than just having a nice pool. read more

Spent the 4th of July weekend at Brasada. It was honestly one disappointment after another. The setting is beautiful and the rooms are well outfitted. The staff are very friendly and attempt to be accommodating. I almost feel like the super helpful staff is probably the only reason I didn't leave feeling irritated and ripped off. SO here's what made it a less than par experience. Rooms are nice enough but certainly not luxurious. The bath towels were low quality, several with holes in the them. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty. That wasn't a huge deal...I just left a note for housekeeping. But then housekeeping never showed up either. I'd thrown all the wet towels into the tub in anticipation of being told that housekeeping would come on that day. When they never showed, I ended up using one of the wet towels again. The food was mediocre at best. I was looking forward to the advertised "farm to kitchen" organic foods they advertise. The menus were terrific and I really really wanted to like the food, but I never had a meal that was anything more than average. I signed up for the BBQ and could not wait to have some delicious BBQ. Across the board, it was seriously awful. The meat dishes were all tough and full of gristle. The baby back ribs had to be CARVED apart with a serrated knife and the brisket was chewy. I hate to use this word but the food was inedible. I felt very ripped off. And then on top of it, they charged me a 22% service charge..... for a buffet. Our server brought us each one drink each. We were gone in less than one hour and he made over 80 in tip. Granted, if the food had been good, I probably wouldn't be complaining. But the entire experience just made me angry. After spending the weekend there, I left feeling that Brasada is a fraud. Based on their advertising, one would think Brasada is a high end resort. It is definitely not that. It's a high end motel, at best. I hope they can work out the kinks because there is potential....but management has some key issues they need to address. read more

We made arrangements (months in advance) for an anniversary getaway, and had requested the Broken Top room on the upper floor of the main lodge. Upon our arrival, we were instead directed to a lower level room--much darker (no windows, only the slider) obstructed views, no ability to control the HVAC . . . and LOUD noises from the restaurant deck above. Whenever someone moved a table or chair, the noise reverberated right thru the deck and onto our small concrete patio. Forget sitting outside and enjoying a glass of wine. This went on from early morning until restaurant closing at 10:00 p.m. Front desk personnel offered no apology or explanation for this "snafu". We also made arrangements for a "Cowboy Tour"--a 2-hour horseback ride with the wrangler. My horse was stumbling badly almost from the very start. Finally, my wife & I insisted that the "wrangler" ( a young girl, part-time employee) examine the horse. Sure enough, there was a large stone embedded in his hoof . . . and the horse had only one shoe! Was this animal examined and prepared for such a ride? I felt terrible for the horse, and did not want to risk being thrown. So our ride was cut short . . . but we were still charged the full amount. No trotting or cantering . . .just a slow, stumbling pace. Would I recommend Brasada Ranch? Perhaps. But we dropped the better part of $1,000 in 48 hours . . . which is tough to justify when the room is disappointing and LOUD, and the wrangler gives you a hobbled horse. read more

Come for the view and amenities... stay for the fry bread! We had a great experience at Brasada Ranch. The cabin we rented was well maintained with a beautiful view. We enjoyed their amenities, such as the pickle ball courts, gym, and pool. The pool was insanely crowded though, which made it less enjoyable, thus a 4 star instead of 5. The real surprise of the trip was the fry bread at the outdoor barbecue. Out of the 9 people in our party, 8 of us thought the fry bread was the best we had ever tasted and was the highlight of the evening. The ninth person doesn't like bread, so obviously is a weirdo. The outdoor barbecue was loved by our kids. They enjoyed the archery, horseback rides, and especially the fishing. We'll be back! read more

I had dinner and drinks at the ranch house part of brasada. The food was great and so was the service. The server was very attentive. I was on the patio and offered to bring me a blanket and turn on the heater. The food doesn't take long at all and tastes like it's fresh off the stove. GOLF REVIEW ONLY: Had a chance to come out and play Brasada a few weeks ago. I went out for twilight with a friend and had great weather and pace of play. The course was fantastic with great panoramic views of the cascades. The biggest pet peeve was there was no water on the course or even at the turn. The water that was supposed to be available at the turn was empty. When I asked someone who worked there if there was water, I was told that they machines were broken and that was all the water they had. Great thanks for the help. For $95 they should have bottled water. I've played $50 muni courses that provide water. If the course is trying to cut costs, not offering water to guests on a hot day is not the way to do it. I won't play this course again. Also felt that a $95 guest fee for twilight was excessive. I'm used to paying that in other places but not in Bend . At least provide a better level of service and a good experience for a $95 twilight rate. read more

My family and I went to Brasada for my oldest son's wedding for the weekend. The 4 bedroom cabin I rented was appointed with nice furniture, very cozy and clean. I loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. And each bedroom had its own Keurig coffee maker. 2 out of 3 coffee makers did not work. Another problem is the water in the shower was basically lukewarm, no hot showers here. When I asked them to turn up the instant heat, they replied that by law they can't make it any hotter. However, when I stay at the Oxford in Bend, I ALWAYS have HOT water. This was an issue. They neglected to tell us that housekeeping comes every 3 days. This really wasn't a problem for us, however they should provide you with extra towels. As for accommodating our group for the wedding...........it was a very pleasant experience. Our food was very good, the wait staff was superb. I found the front desk staff and all the employees to be very professional and friendly. They truly wanted us to be happy. I was a little shocked when I checked out to see that on top of the rate for the room, there was a $68.00 resort fee, plus taxes which actually added another $122.00 a night for the room. I will definitely go back to Brasada and looking forward to it. I just wish they could fix the hot water in the shower. read more

Jen G., Jenn, and Debra made sure our wedding went off without a hitch and i have had so many of our guests tell us it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to. here are a few reasons why: 1. Accommodations: the cabins are spacious and classy. kept up. beautiful furniture, a full kitchen with utensils and such, stellar showers in every room. each room also has outdoor entry access. if you are staying in the Ranch House suites, they are big and comfy as well...plus you have a great mountain view! the Barn and the Range areas on the property offer stellar views and spaces for your event. perfectly sized, perfectly maintained. 2. Food: the food provided by the Brasada kitchen at both our reception and rehearsal dinner was so tasty. everyone loved it. food is super important at a wedding, and people remember if they had crappy meat or crappy veggies. all in all, we had SUCH delicious meals. 3. Activities: if you're planning on bringing a big group, brasada offers lots to do for all ages. horseback riding, bike riding, a basketball court, tennis courts, hikes, an awesome pool (with a waterslide!)...guarantee no one will be bored. 4. Staff: everyone here is so nice. there's no other way to say it. from the Ranch Hands who offer rides around the property to the bartender who worked our event...they are just nice people. they make you feel welcome and important. we couldn't have asked for a better staff to work our wedding day. (i even knocked over two glasses at our reception, shattering glass everywhere. within in instant, it was cleaned up without a complaint from the staff). there's so much more i could write, but this covers some of the big ones. while it's a significant investment to have your event here, i promise it is worth it. your day will be special and the good people at Brasada will do everything to accommodate you and your group. read more

We recently stayed at the Ranch House Suite. I've stayed at Brasada in the past but always have stayed in a cabin house because it was for my work's Christmas party. But this time we had won a $500 gift certificate to Brasada and we were anxious and excited to come back. It had been about 3 years since our last Christmas party there. Sadly I was pretty disappointed this time around. To start, $500 doesn't even cover two nights in the ranch house. Amazingly it required another $250. That's $750 for two nights! Very nice room, but I don't know if it was $375 a night good. In fact I know it wasn't. I'm sorry but that's a darn nice room at any hotel in Bend. And the ranch is beautiful but it's 20min drive from Bend. So don't plan on having dinner and drinks in Bend. Brasada is pretty but next time I'll get a really nice suite in downtown Bend. read more

I booked a dinner for my sister and her new hubby in the Ranch House Library for the smallest wedding reception of about 6 people. A beautiful and casual little private room. Food was delicious! Always ask what the farmers pie is! I had a jalepeño chicken flatbread (designed by Junior and made by Vanessa) and it was fantastic. Other food was enjoyed as well by others like the prime rib dip, the Mac and cheese (always a favorite no matter what) and the fried chicken was perfect (comes with a side of potatoes, a biscuit and amazing kale) Michelle was exceptional!! She is one of the sweetest servers and represents Brasada very well! For breakfast I joined my sister and her new hubby and Tim was our server! Also an exceptional server, checked in on us often and made sure our breakfast was treating us well. I had the Brasada Hash with pork belly (personal favorite, the pork belly was delicious) also enjoyed during breakfast were Belgium waffles and a classic, the breakfast burrito. Cudos to the cooks!! WEDDING VENUE REVIEW :) but as a vacation place it's AWESOME too!! :) Absolutely stunning location! My husband and I got married at Brasada Ranch in July 2016 and we are so happy we found Brasada! Overall this is the most amazing venue not just to get married at but to visit for a vacation as well. We are so excited to come back for our anniversary! Location: The location is a quick 15-20 min cab ride from the airport. The views are to die for. From the top lawn you can see all the Cascade Mountains. It's an extremely expansive view, that all my guests raved about the entire weekend. We were married by the pond/tree at the bottom of the ranch, it was nice and shaded and very peaceful by their lake and trestle bridge. The trestle by the way is show stopping! It's one of the reasons we picked Brasada. Cabins: Their cabins are AMAZING!! The wedding guests stay in these stunning 2-4 bedroom cabins with sharable living rooms and hot tubs. Everyone of our guests had to much fun in the cabins. Not to mention it's great to have everyone in one place. Food/Drink: Can't say enough about the quality of the food at Brasada. Everything we had for our wedding from the apps to the entrees was amazing. We received a lot of complements on the food choices and quality. We did a tasting and were blown away but when it was the same quality on the day of the wedding! WOW! The drink selection is great as well, they really have any thing you would want from beer to wine, to the most delicious speciality cocktails. Venue: We were married in the Barn. It's a great open space that really brings together the rustic elegance of Brasada. We had 100 guests and there was more than enough room for more. We recently celebrated Mother's Day at Brasada with a brunch. While the grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious, the hostess brought us to our table 45 minutes AFTER our scheduled reservation time. While I understand that there can be logistical difficulties, the restaurant's staff (particularly the hosting crew) put their heads down and pretended as nothing was happening, which I found to be a poor decision when you have a lobby full of families with young kids waiting to celebrate their moms. read more

However service was mediocre and once we got the bill we were over charged and when I got our bank charge---- they had charged me $900.00!!!!!!!! This review is for the spa - I had a fabulous pedicure with Tiffany who is a master at foot massage. This was the MOST relaxing pedi I have ever had! The view from the nail room is of the parking lot, but that didn't matter as I had my eyes closed the whole time, sipping lavender champagne. So nice! read more
