My wife and I ate here during our September 2026 vacation in Steamboat. We sat outside which was quiet and very pleasant. She had a Rootstock cabernet which was very good. We split an Arugula and spinach salad. The portion was generous and we thoroughly enjoyed it. For her main course my wife had the Rocky Mountain Trout. The trout was served over a bed of couscous. It was somewhat dry and underflavored. The couscous was very bland. There was some Sweet Onion relish as part of the plate which was new to us and delicious. It made the couscous much better. I had a small plate of Arancini. This was mostly underflavored rice inside and wasn't that exciting. The lettuce wrap tacos which had spiced shredded pork inside were pretty good. An upscale, high energy restaurant in downtown Steamboat Springs serving cuisine with a twist is a can't-miss. The bar area with the TV seems a little out of place, but I like sports so I'm good with it. The staff were incredibly, incredibly knowledgeable about their food. Most knowledgeable waitress I've probably ever encountered. We ordered the Wild Mushroom Arancini and Whipped Feta & Bruschetta for the table and together they were the perfect appetizer for four people. I'm usually not a fan of wild mushrooms, but it worked well with the crispy arancini. The whipped feta & bruschetta was a nice cooling change of pace, but I wish they gave you a couple more bread bits. For an entree I went with the interesting pork cheeks. They are literally pig cheeks, like the cheeks from their face. And I absolutely loved them! They reminded me a bit of chicharrones, but softer. They were supposed to be sriracha based, but I barely tasted sriracha, so that left me wanting more. The broccolini made up for it, but that's because broccoli/lini makes everything better. We were not sure what to expect of this restaurant because the menu gave higher end vibes but there's a TV at the bar so mixed messages. The service was amazing - our waiter was funny, knowledgeable and checked on us often. Everything we got was very good. We ordered a variety of apps and entrees -see pics. There seems to be a "neighborhood bar" ambiance with several diners greeting staff like regulars. First off, we visited on a Tuesday night which happened to be their $39 three course meal specia (appetizer, main and dessert), and we were expecting small dishes for that price. We were so wrong as each course was big and shareable. Our server Sean, did ask our table if we were sharing or individual orders. As it was our first visit, we didn't realize that our dishes were very shareable. I ordered the Korean pork ribs which were two delicious ribs sitting on kimchi. My main was Moroccan pork loin, which came as two large pieces atop couscous. Again, more than enough to share! My wife had the Colorado chicken breast, another huge plate. Can't say enough about this local special which go away once the ski season starts up. The paloma itself was as expected for a mezcal-based drink, I guess. I might just have a preference for a lighter, more refreshing Paloma. I wasn't a big fan of their house tajin... felt like something was missing but there wasn't enough tajin on the rim for me to determine what it was. Maybe a tad bit more lime? Sugar? After enjoying a day in Steamboat, we grabbed dinner at Brass. It was a great pick as the staff was extremely friendly and it seemed like they knew all of the customers who highly recommended it. Our server was great and we dined outside on the patio as it was a lovely temperature. The food was tasty but I wish they offered more pescatarian options! This place is good if you want to go out to eat somewhere fancy but also casual. There is lots of seating inside and also a nice patio outside with seating, plants and flowers. The service is great, they seat you at your table and ask if you would like drinks or anything. They take your order 1 by 1, and I saw the way that they put your order in is a different "tab" for each person so they can give the food to the right person which I think is pretty inefficient. And they didn't even give me the food I ordered and gave me my sisters instead. The prices are pretty normal for Steamboat and weren't too crazy expensive. The food was okay, my sister got the pasta with red sauce on the kids menu and it got cold super fast. My brother got the chicken tenders and fries from the kids menu and the chicken tasted like it was from the freezer, and they just put in an air fryer. The fries were good and a nicely salted. I got the Korean short ribs, and they were good but a little to spicy for me to really enjoy. The non-alcoholic drinks were good I got a nonalcoholic mojito and I was so good my sister got some kinda blood orange drink and was a little bitter and I didn't really like it. read more

Came for happy hour and stayed for dinner. Fun interior and ambiance suitable for groups of all sizes. All the dishes stood out and weren't overly heavy. We shared the spicy pork ribs, fingerling potatoes and the ratatouille as appetizers. Instead of cheese, the raclette was served with fingerling potatoes, sweet peppers, apple slices and an IPA-infused mustard The salad was fresh and refreshing-- we loved the pistachios with champagne vinaigrette. For entrees we shared the pork cheeks and the baked barramundi. The pork cheeks were super tender and flavorful and had lots of sauce that was absorbed by the fluffy Jasmine rice. The veggies it came with were thoughtfully prepared and definitely not an afterthought. The barramundi was tender but crisp on the outside. The miso-shiitake broth it came with was genius and highlighted the fish well. I really appreciated how none of the entrees were overly protein-centric-- each of the sides were well-made and delicious in their own right. We enjoyed the meal and finished it by sharing the peanut butter cheesecake (more mousse than cheesecake which was fun). Definitely will be back next time we visit Steamboat! read more

We had dinner there as a group of 9 (with five kids). It was a difficult choice as some of our friends are strict GF vegans!!!! And the kids also had some dietary restrictions and preferences. This place did not disappoint! From making a reservation with a very friendly lady to being welcomed at the restaurant (and I made a mistake by reserving table for 7 instead of 9!), to their super strong, fancy and tasty drinks... and of course - their food. If we could give it an extra star, we would. But as it is - Brass Kitchen gets five full stars. We had a great experience at Brass last week. The spinach and arugula salad was terrific, larger than we expected... but absolutely outstanding and will get that every visit going forward. The Swiss Raclette was excellent also, I feel like it was just short on the proper amount of cheese. But a very good side! For mains we went with the pork cheeks, and short rib. At that point we were struggling to find room to stuff everything in. The meat was prepared excellent and seasoned terrific. All veggies and sides were also excellent! We were looking forward to their menu and the happy hour sounded great. The inside of the restaurant is nice but nothing upscale like we expected. More like a yard house chain than I was expecting. We ordered 3 food items 1. Poke 2. Korean ribs 3. Arancini All of the items were underwhelming. The poke is something I could find in my local grocery store. The Korean ribs were decent but still lacked the flavor I was expecting. I also ordered a margarita and that was really more like a well cocktail. Overall would much rather go to laundry. We really enjoyed the Brass Kitchen! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we were seated right away in a nice shady part of their patio. Our server was very helpful and attentive.
