I pass by this place everyday. I mean lieterally daily. I am a coffee buff and have to make up ground this year for my coffee post. It was not to busy for a Sunday morning. I got the wedding cake bliss latte. Wifey got the chai tea latte. The chai tea latte is one of my fav at another establishment, Ellianos. There were no bells and whistle at Brass tacks coffee. The counter oerson was so friendly. The other counter person called my name and I felt so special. This is probably the very first time, we sat down to lattes, talked and laughed. What a nice start to a Sunday morning. Off to church we go and then to our chinese buffet.

Brass Tacks can probably turn even the biggest coffee adverse person into a fan. There is no shortage of flavor choices from simple vanilla to churro to sweet and salty. I was happy to see Mexican Chocolate on the menu, and went for that. It did not disappoint The service was quick and friendly. The perfect locals place to grab a delicious coffee.

This place is my jam! I work just down the road, and I frequently come here! The staff is great very friendly. As a regular, they are learning my name and I theirs. This is a locally owned company with their own local roastery. They have a couple of locations, and this is easily one of my favorites. There is good parking and great seating, both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor can be a little loud because of traffic nearby based on time of day. I don't mind it. They had outlets near all of the table so you can charge your devices. The chairs and tables are even comfortable enough for a long writing session! Much of my doctoral proposal was written here! If you are still reading, I will hook you up! If you order a drip coffee it is $2.50. They always have a single origin roast. I love their Guatemalan and Honduran coffees. If you ask for the coffee in a mug because you plan to sit, it's $1.00! You can't even do that at McDonalds, and this is much better coffee! So stop by with some friends and treat yourself to a $1.00 single origin drip coffee!

Another nice visit to Brass Tacks and with our daughter and her son who were visiting. Very friendly service! Just a few extra pics.

Soft Opening of Brass Tacks Coffee shop in the Fruit Cove area of town (opened Monday 10.4.2021). Brass Tacks happens to be one of my Top 5 Coffee shops I like to frequent. This new location marks their 3rd location: their location off Southside Blvd being their popular location and their other location in Green Cove Springs being their roaster shop. This new location used to be the old Starbucks location, which have moved to another spot down the strip. Inside this shop is a nice and spacious, cool vibe of a Coffee joint. There are also plenty of nice seating outside, perfect especially during the cooler months. And as for me...this shop is the closest of all Brass Tacks so my Coffee luvin arrs will definitely be back again for mo caffeine.

This place it great!!! It's a really cute nice sized café it's not to big or small and there are a lot of places to sit do school or just hangout with friends and chat. The people who work there are really nice and will answer an questions you may have on the menu or what a product contains, if they make your order wrong they are more then happy to remake it for you. They have Almond milk and oat milk if you have any dairy allergies and a sugar free vanilla and a sugar free caramel syrup if you don't do sugar.

Brass tacks is my favorite place!! I love the sharknado drink and would go everyday if my bank account would allow. I don't get coffee from there but I'm obsessed with everything else!

Got a crumbcake and lavender hot chocolate. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Breakfast options, signature drinks, bakery are available. Like the atmosphere and design, friendly staff.

I typically visit the Southside location, but I was in the fruit cove area and chose to try out this place. The staff was phenomenal and accommodating to my dairy and gluten allergy. They even double checked the labels for the drink syrups to make sure I would be okay! The only syrups here that contain dairy usually are the caramel and there's one more that I can't remember. The oat milk sometimes contains gluten but the one they have currently doesn't. I tried the peppermint mocha with almond milk and it was fantastic. I also asked if they could make Cuban coffee and they did. So I got two shots of espresso with extra sugar. Also delicious. Many people were working inside on their laptops. There's also outside seating to enjoy the cool breeze. 10/10 recommend and would definitely make a trip to this part of town to visit.

I decided to try a simple drip coffee and the country fried chicken sandwich. Okay so pickles on a breakfast sandwich felt a little weird but I like to try things as the restaurant intended. I'm very glad I did as the pickles gave it a nice little pop. The egg was perfectly fried. Done well enough that it wasn't a runny yolk but not so done that the yolk gets chalky. The gravy was insane. Not going to lie, a lady was dipping her finger in the bowl and eating it....(okay so I'm the lady, it was me. Don't hate me, that stuff was irresistible). The drip coffee was perfectly brewed. Not too weak or strong and it didn't taste as if it sat around a while. Service-10/10. The staff was very helpful with explanations and to provide suggestions based on what is popular. I saw two employees from the counter area and both were cheerful and welcoming. The restaurant is counter service but I had taken a seat to wait and they brought it out to me and even came to take my trash away when they saw I was done. Atmosphere-9/10. The restaurant is cute and bright. It's very welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. My only two negatives are that the tables feel a bit cramped and it's far from my home. Obviously I can't knock them for me not being a local, but the table situation could use improvement. I imagine the table layout was based on them fitting the space but when you add even a normal size person, you would need additional space to get in and out of the seat especially when the seats have arms. As a plus size person if it gets busy you would be very limited for seating comfortably options. All-in-all I loved the place and when my errands return me to this side of town early, I'll be stopping in again.

The team is not helpful at all, in fact, the whole process is kind of confusing. I think breakfast/brunch is a really fun event and that wasn't the case here. The kiosk ordering system is easy enough but what happens after that can only be described as chaotic. It's hard to tell if your order is being placed on the rack or in the spot for pick ups. We were dining in. At some point, we got our food and it looked really good. I got the EggBred cheeseburger and my friend got the ribeye sandwich. Her steak was really dry and chewy. My burger was super greasy and had zero distinguishing flavors. It all kind of melded into one glop. Which is never the way to describe anything edible. I think the drink prices were so high they were stupid. A glass bottle of Coke (the narrow bottle) was $5. Our total was $32 for just the sandwiches. No add ons. No drinks. Neither of us ate our whole meal. Not because we were full, it was because they just weren't good. I would not go back.

The staff was so extremely nice and even offered to make anything I wanted (many of the items were already sold). I mentioned wanting a caramel latte (not on the menu) and the young gentleman volunteered to make it anyway. The service alone was 12/10. Now I don't even want to get started on the doughnuts. Everything was good. I chose 5 different items and I can't even tell you which one I liked the best. All of them were equally amazing, flaky and sweet. We even warmed them to give them a lil edge. Overall, this place is dangerously accommodating and equally tasty. It's the best new thing I've tried all year.

It somehow exceeded every expectation. The coffee was incredible, and they had such a fun selection of specialty drinks. We ordered the breakfast burritos, and they were absolutely phenomenal. They were packed with flavor, made fresh, and honestly just as memorable as the doughnuts themselves. Speaking of the doughnuts... I don't even know where to begin. They're unlike any doughnut I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with creative flavors. If you're on a diet, you might want to avoid this place because once you have one, you'll want to try them all. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of energy. We loved our first visit so much that we came back a second time during the same trip, which says everything. My fiancé walked out saying he wanted to open a Parlor Doughnuts in our hometown because it was that good. This is one of those places that completely lives up to the hype. If you're anywhere near Jacksonville, do yourself a favor and stop here. You won't regret it.

The young girl that was working the register answered my many questions and was so patient with me. The store is quite small but that's ok, it's cute and i care more about food/service anyways. I ultimately settled on the honey grilled pork bahn mi and a crème brûlée coffee. The coffee didn't make it past 5 minutes, once you mix it around a bit, it is so incredibly decadent. Perfect treat. The bahn mi itself was delicious, I have a preference for softer bread but I know others love the bread they serve. Just beware it is a very crumbly and crunchy but fresh bread. I had a plum cinnamon tea which was also great and hit the spot on a rainy day. The WiFi connected but wouldn't open any pages except google, so that was a bummer. I'd love to see for-here food come in an actual plate or bowl. The bowl mine came in had all the egg & sausage on the bottom, so you ate grits first then everything else. Still, I'd come back and try more things. I also tried the chocolate banana thing (muffin? Donut? Cupcake.) and found it pretty disappointing. The cake part itself is good, very moist. Too moist to be a donut or a muffin, so it must be a cupcake, which is weird considering the shape. The icing was awful. It's so overpoweringly sweet it doesn't taste like chocolate or banana, just sugar. If you don't scrape it off, it makes the whole thing way too sweet.
