    Beef Bahn Mi

Never thought I'd have the best bahn mi of my life in Jacksonville, FL! Please give this place your money if you are a Bahn Mi lover. The bread is made fresh every day and the sandwiches are just on point 100%. Only downside is the inconvenient location and just beware that the jalepeños are SUPER spicy.

So far I've tried salted coffee (Càfe muối) & bánh mì đặc biec, special combo: consists of cold meats and veggies. I had the sandwiches toasted so when I took the first bite, it was so crispy, crunchy, right amount of meat and fresh herbs ratio. The salted coffee is so good, strong flavor and creamy salted foam on top! I can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.

Finally, an Authentic Bánh Mì in Jacksonville! After ordering here about six times, I can honestly say this is the best and most authentic Vietnamese bánh mì I've had in Jacksonville. The bread is light, airy, and crispy--just like in Vietnam--and the fillings are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I even saved a Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng for the next day, and the bread was still crispy and never soggy. That's impressive! This has become my go-to bánh mì spot, and I truly hope they expand to more locations throughout Jacksonville. Highly recommend!

We were craving banh mi sandwiches and I was on this side of town so why not? The place was super clean and the service was friendly! I did a to-go order of the following: iced Vietnamese coffee: 9/10 - this was so good! It was strong as how I liked it and they were able to add boba in it! It was robust, strong, slightly sweet, and creamy from the condensed milk! Reminded of my mom's coffee that she would make for me growing up. Roasted pork banh mi: 7/10 - I would have rated this higher but the pork ratio was really off. There weren't that much pork in the banh mi. The roasted pork was crispy and delicious but we barely tasted it since there were way more veggies than the actual protein itself. And the slices were small and thin. It was delicious but we wished there was more pork. Grilled spicy beef banh mi: 8/10 - pretty solid sandwich. it was full of grilled beef but the spice level was non-existent. The flavors were great and it was full of the veggies (jalapeno, cilantro, pickled daikon and carrots) as well. Combination banh mi: 8/10 - full of pork, head cheese, aioli, pate, and veggies, this one was probably our favorite. What I really love about the sandwiches was the bread! The bread on all the sandwiches was fluffy, crispy, and just melted in your mouth! The texture was insane! I air fried the sandwiches and it became extra crispy, just like how I like my banh mi! The sandwiches were also a pretty good size for being $8+. However, I still think they're kind of pricey. The flavors were good but it didn't WOW me. Would I come back? Yes if I'm in the area. It doesn't hurt to give this place a try!

Bami The Viet Corner is the newest addition to the Fruit Cove (Julington Creek) area of town. They have been opened for 2 months now. It is definitely a unique shop as they serve a "fusion-like" take to Banh Mi sandwiches, offering 9 different styles of sandwiches you can choose from. What I tried... - Five-Spice Grilled Chicken sandwich (4/5): I just didn't get that 100% feeling eating the Five-Spice sandwich. The chicken for me just felt like it was not flavorful enough. Portion wise, it felt like the chicken or lack of, was hiding inside that sandwich. The baguette however was nice and toasty crunchy. Each bite gave that "crunch". - Vietnamese Iced Milk Coffee (5/5): I always love trying the Vietnamese Iced Coffees anywhere that serves them and I have to say Bami makes them good enough to be in my Top 3 locally. My take... Perhaps my palate may have been superly spoiled and accustomed by the flavors I have tasted eating traditional type Bahn Mi that's normally served with sliced pork or pork belly. Bami does it differently, serving other styles of sandwiches. Would I try another? Hells yessss. Lastly... Throwing out some 5 stars to the staff at Bami. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Best bánh mì in town Fresh, crispy bread with generous portions and well-balanced flavors. Super filling and great value for the price. Service was a bit lacking not very friendly but the food made up for it. Simple, no-frills ambiance. Would still come back for the bánh mì.

Miniature craft sushi restaurant. It's so detailed and so adorable. What a nice touch to the restaurant. I love it!

Super fantastic service. The cashier was so pleasant and helpful. I order a Vietnamese coffee. You can decide on how strong or light or how sweet you want it. I ordered mine on the less sweet side and it was phenomenal!!! I also ordered the grilled beef (A2) sandwich. It was a pretty decent size sandwich with the freshest veggies I'v ever had on a sandwich. The ambiance was a typical cozy little area for a small restaurant. It had plenty of natural sunlight shining through the windows. I will 1000% frequent this establishment. Just overall a great experience.

Update: Back for the third time, tried B1-B4 banh mis and they're all really good. B1 is still my favorite, definitely try the braised brisket if you've never had it before!

The Bahn Mi sandwiches are made on traditional Vietnamese crispy bread and all the flavors of that beautiful country. I was able to order my favorite egg bahn mi (not on the menu but you just need to ask) with pickled veggies and all the love of street food. I paired it with a Vietnamese coffee that they added less sweetener (my request and preference) and oat milk. It was perfect. We will definitely be back to this new strip mall find!

HANDS DOWN, the BEST Banh Mi I've had anywhere in Florida or even the SE. I am Vietnamese and what makes this place amazing is their home made bread/baguette. It's exactly how banh mi bread should be. Crispy on the outside and light, fluffy, with a slight chew on the inside. They definitely got the recipe down right 100%. And the filling, which is secondary in my opinion, on point as well. They have many options to choose from and you can't go wrong with any of them. And to wash that down, they have a large variety of fruit teas and bobas, but the star of the show are their authentic Vietnamese drip coffees. 7 different coffee Vietnamese coffees to try, including egg cream coffee that was viral in Hanoi. We've tried so many items off the menu and have been greatly satisfied with every choice. You can't go wrong. With an Awesome, friendly, helpful staff, we've made this spot a weekly spot even though we live all the way across town. Well worth the drive and must try if you're looking for true authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi and drip coffee. 10/10!!

This is the second time I've eaten sandwiches here. Walking into the shop, I was greeted by the delicious aroma of the sandwiches and the polite and courteous service from the staff. I especially like the special sandwiches because they have all my favorite toppings. The sandwiches are very fragrant and tasty. The best banh mì in town

Located in Julington Square in Fruit Cove next to the Neighborhood Walmart. Storefront doesn't have a sign up yet but you can't miss the glow of their Colorful Neon OPEN sign. Bami was an unplanned Saturday stop and did not dissapoint. We just had breakfast across the street at EggBred and I just happen to pull up bakeries/cafes near me on Maps. Surpised, an asian spot open this early (7AM-9AM) serving fresh bread? I gotta make a stop! A warm greeting as we opened their doors, simple setup, clean, easy to digest posted menu. Order was taken, A1, A2, A3 and two drinks were placed and yes, eating with our eyes. Took a seat and happily chatted with the Owners about their store. Moments later, our food and drinks came out neatly presented. Okay, first and foremost a banh mi isn't a banh mi without the kind of bread the protein and veggies are in. Bami's bread is 10/10, perfect in every way, light, airy, not dry, a good chew and crispy but not scrape the roof of your mouth crispy! The kind of bread you would find if you visited overseas to the motherland. A delicious 2nd breakfast was had and new friends made. Packed up what was left to go for Lunch. You can taste the love they put in their food. Meat is well seasoned and veggies perfectly pickled and not southern sweet which I appreciated as a midwesterner. Drinks- also not too sweet. I hope to see a little more on the menu once they get well established. Delighted to see more southeast asian cuisine being offered in Jax! I wish all the success to this cozy spot.

Had the Special Combo Banh Mi and it was to die for! Everything about this sandwich was perfect - savory, sweet, crunchy, crisp. I was also impressed with the bread (crispy/crackly on the outside, and soft/chewy on the inside). And Banh mi's are one of my very favorite sandwiches! No picture of my food bc I was starving and couldn't wait to eat. I also had the Thai Green Tea (bubble/boba) which was also delicious. The only thing was that it came with a regular instead of boba straw, so I just used a spoon to get it. To be fair, I didn't go in-person to pick up my food so can't say if they did or didn't have boba straws. But even if they didn't, it wouldn't stop me from going back (which I plan to very soon!) Haven't had a Vietnamese coffee in years and I can't wait to try that next time I go back. 10/10 recommend checking out this place.

The pho was very flavorful and they give you a hearty portion - definitely enough for leftovers. Even though it was so hot that I burnt my tongue, I could not stop slurping the delicious broth. The only thing I did not like about this dish was the fact that there was not enough meat. I do see that on the menu. There's a surcharge for extra meat in the soup, but I do feel like they were a little stingy on the tasty beef in my dish. The sprouts, basil, and jalapeños were fresh and they gave a good portion to add in. Overall, based on the delicious pho and great price I will be back for another visit.

We had a gang meet up that included Goldie, Jimmy, Lea, Loan and myself. We get together each month to try a new restaurant, and of course, to enjoy each other's company. It's been a while since I had a Vietnamese meal and when I go, I'm always stuck on ordering something of the Vermicelli variety. Yep! That's what I did on this day. First off, I have to say that quality of the fresh veggies - lettuce, carrots, cucumber, etc., along with peanuts, were the best in freshness status I've ever seen in just about any restaurant. Between the appearance and the taste, they stand alone in this category. I wasn't worried about having the rolls with this meal, so I chose the B1a - grilled shrimp and pork. As a full bowl, the appearance and quality of the toppings over the noodles was stellar. The pork was chewy, but not in the range of the impossible to deal with. Just something that people who have difficulty chewing might wish to be aware of. There were three large pieces of shrimp that were tasty but a tad overcooked - not enough in any way to drop my score. With the fish sauce mixed, along with the bowl, it turned out to be a fantastic meal! Loan recommended we visit Q-Cup Boba Tea and it was totally worth visit! I will say that Loan's, Goldie's, jimmy's and Lea's offerings looked pretty amazing as well. The sub sandwich and beef cuts on Jimmy's meal looked superb! May have to try that one someday. Everything we had was super tasty! Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately and seated. Our waitress and waiter (we had two) were super sweet, attentive, and cheerful. I missed eating home cooked Vietnamese food so we decided to come and enjoy a meal here. Everything was clean (floors, tables, and bathroom). We had the following: Grilled pork summer rolls: 8.5/10 - fresh, bright, and full of veggies, vermicelli, pork, and a crunchy roll inside. It was so delicious! I love summer rolls and this hit the spot! The peanut dipping sauce went so well with the rolls. I loved how the rolls had so many great textures. Pho dac biet (combination): 7.5/10 - the broth was alot more flavorful and it came with a generous amount of meat (beef balls, sliced beef, tripe) and lots of fresh veggies (lime, cilantro, jalapeno, mint, bean sprouts). Last time when we went, the broth was lacking flavor but now, it's pretty good. Beef combo plate w/rice: 8 - the beef was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor! The lemongrass flavor wasn't strong or overpowering and they give you a good amount of beef. It came with white rice and pickled veggies (daikon, cucumber, and carrots) and fish sauce. Again, super flavorful and I actually cleaned the plate! The only small critique was that I thought the meat was going to be like short ribs and the waitress confirmed it was, but it wasn't. Avocado smoothie: 8/10 - I love avocado smoothies and its hard to find a place that makes it right. Here, it was absolutely perfect! The avocado's flavor really shined. Most places would make it way too sweet and you can't taste the avocado. However, I was able to taste the fresh avocado and the sweetness was on point. The Bonchon is essentially a flight of pickled sides: sweet pickled cucumbers, sweet pickled carrots and daikon (similar to what you'd find on a Vietnamese banh mi), and a well-fermented kimchi with mild heat and great flavor. We also ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Soup, and thought we ordered "Chow Fun" noodles -- but "Chow Faan" is actually their fried rice dish. Word of caution: if you want their take on Chow Fun noodles, order the "Beef Haw Fun" instead. The star of the show was the Hong Kong Wonton Soup -- the broth was authentically Asian, distinctly different from a classic French-style broth built on onion, celery, and carrot mirepoix. It was so good we ordered another one to go and took it to our mom to enjoy. We will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes.

Shai was AMAZING! We will definitely be back. She thoroughly went over the menu, had a complete…read moreknowledge and command of the menu. The food was delicious and the drinks were on point! We went with everything that Shai recommended... the Curry chicken, the Kimchi steak, the Hibiscus Fizz drinks, the wontons and the appetizer bread!
