    Al pastor tacos

I just got back from traveling to Mexico and was craving authentic Mexican food and this place hit the spot!! The foos here is very authentic. They have a salsa bar to load up all your tacos. The al pastor tacos and even the burrito was amazing! Added a touch of pineapple just like Mexico. Great, cheap spot in Provo.

Ever go to a place and you just know you are going to love it from the moment you arrive? That is Brassas for me. I loved the ambience, with its run down feel and the salsa bar left under the sun to heat up. I loved the kids playing all around where you order the food. I loved the menu. I especially loved the food. The Birria (still can't say that word) Birria, birria, nope, still don't got it, but it is delicious. Amazing. Just so good. I got the carne asada burrito y vaya, que fiesta en mi boca. I didn't leave hungry either as it was MASSIVE! The burrito is not for the feint of heart, so one must proceed with caution when ordering it. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

If you want to feel like you are in Mexico, eat here! The birria plate was so yummy. The tacos were hot off the grill and the rice and beans were great. It's outdoor seating so keep that in mind. I would definitely eat here again!

    tacos azteca

Alex, thanks for the tip on the tacos azteca. Take Al pastor and wrap it with cheese you sear until it's brown and wonderful. What's not to like. The fish tacos were excellent. No complaints on the food. The dining facilities not so hot. I understand it's a take-out setup. However, it's not against the law to label things on the toppings tray. It's not against the law to keep the facilities generally clean. I understand you can't help the ignorant parents with screaming kids. At least there are multiple areas to eat to get away from them. So, understand the dining facilities are weak, but the food is really good. That said, these are not dollar tacos, or even two dollar tacos, so there are real sit down places that are cleaner with good food at the same price. They just don't have tacos azteca.

Great service and delicious food. We ordered carnitas nachos, big, delicious and tasty salsas to pick from the salsa bar! To drink we ordered a big refreshing Horchata!

This place doesn't look like much, but looks are deceiving. The burritos are huge and stuffed with grilled meat, beans, rice and guacamole. I also ordered their horchata which is delicious. My only suggestion would be to offer water, not just bottled water. If you are in the area, check them out. I loved the music that was playing too.

Just got the nachos again and it tasted as if there was lighter fluid all over the chicken, I got so sick I had to throw them out but it's crazy because this place blew me away the first time. I'm not sure what happened. Be mindful when ordering the chicken on anything.

Huuuuge carne asada burrito. The meat was a little over cooked, a couple pieces charred. The horchata was yummy. Not too sweet or too cinnamon. Really light refreshing flavor. Really cool salsa bar.

Manager made a mistake on my order and refused to correct. I ordered a large number of $1.30 flour tacos from the menu at the order counter. (See photo) The Manager charged my credit card $2.25 per taco. I questioned the mistake to the manager and she pointed to the piece of foil on the wall with circles and prices hand written in sharpie. One of the circles had $2.25 corn written next to it (See photo). Manager said that's what I ordered. I asked her how could that could be when I ordered flour and the foil sign only says corn. The only taco on the gigantic menu in front of me that I could have ordered is the $1.30 taco? The manager doubled down on the inappropriateness of their menu/ pricing, refused to correct the bill. When I took photos of the menu, I told the manger it was for a review. She still declined to correct. Very poor business practices.

Hands down the best asada street tacos I've had in Utah! Super friendly staff and delicious food! I go at least once a week. Highly recommend.

Absolute best Mexican food in Utah County. Their new location is super nice too! I recommend the Tijuana burrito and the shrimp tacos!

Very good food, but over priced... asked for an extra cup of salsa (8 ounce), they charged $7.00 plus tax.

Our waiter recommended the molcajete, so we decided to order it to share. Unfortunately, the dish was not very good. The molcajete came out extremely full of sauce and the flavors just didn't taste right. We were pretty hungry, but we ended up barely eating it because it wasn't enjoyable. Since we were still hungry, I ordered some street tacos for us instead. When the waiter brought the bill, he charged us the full price for the molcajete even though he could clearly see we barely touched it. There was no offer to adjust the bill or even ask if something was wrong with the dish. To make it more uncomfortable, he also asked us to pay in cash. Overall, the place smelled great when we arrived, but the food and customer service didn't meet expectations. Hopefully they can improve the quality of the food and how they handle situations when customers are not satisfied.

My waiter only barely spoke English but we could figure it out. The chips & salsa they set down was a mixed result. The chips were terrific. The salsa was a small kind of watery bowl that tasted much more sour than usual. It was okay. Just not as good as the chips. I ordered the Taconazo after ascertaining that it was a variant on carne asada. I asked if it came with tortillas. Si. It came pretty fast and he pointed to a station to one side of the dining area and said, "Salsas!" Sadly the salsa cups were tiny. I could barely fit any pickled onions inside. There were also some big jugs of various agua frescas there, nestled in ice. The "Taconazo" consisted of LOTS of onions, peppers, cheese, crispy bacon(!), cactus, and strips of steak. I liked it quite a bit. There was a bit of trouble at the end. My food was 15.99 but my bill was $21. So I asked for a itemized bill (tips weren't included). Turned out they'd charged me $2.99 for a fountain drink, but I'd only had water. I showed them the error. Rather than change the bill, they just handed me $3 in bills so that worked. (Yes I tipped.) Anyway good food with only minor glitches, and I'll be trying it again.
