Been here a few times for the happy hour tacos and those were delicious (good things seem to taste better when they cost me less). Recently stopped by because this was one of the only Mexican places open before 11am that I could find while family was in town and craving Mexican. Three of us ordered the breakfast burritos and we all got some varying jarritos drinks. We all liked the food. I had the carne asada torta and tacos and enjoyed the great tasting and quality carne asada meat served here. Definitely one of the best prepared meats I've had from a street taco stand in Utah. No joke! Being a Texan and loving Tex-Mex foods, the meat here came close to perfection. Seems like the meat is grilled on a charcoal grill? If so, that would explain the rich flavor. Money! I got 4 tacos. Chorizo was excellent! Chicken was a little dry, but the flavor made up for it... really tasty. Pork was tender and well spiced. The steak had some large bits of gristle, but again had great flavor. Can't beat the happy hour price - but regular price isn't too high either. Every taco was full, and the service was quick. Tried this place for the first time this week and between price, quality, and quantity I give it 4 stars. Now the quantity is amazing for the price. The meat and their fries are great quality. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is their sauces aren't that great. The Carna Asada Fries are probably their best item but their burritos don't have a good sauce. The sauces are very mild and they don't have a good spicy sauce. I think their sauces makes their amazing food taste less good.. read more

Yum! This place is awesome, I usually don't like street tacos because they are typically too greasy.. but this place is not greasy at all. We ordered the chicken street tacos... Good grilled white meat with delicious smoked flavor, onions, cilantro, and avocado sauce on top. They don't use lard!!! Yay!!! Awesome salsa bar... my Mister says "they are the best street tacos he has ever had" can't wait to go back! I have a serious addiction to al pastor tacos. It's serious and it's affecting my every day life..in a deliciously awesome way. But, that being said, I can never find good al pastor tacos as good as street tacos in California. I simply assumed that I would have to do without these delicious, heavenly, crafted by angels tacos until I went to visit in Cali. Brassas changed that, and in turn, it changed my life. The tacos are perfect, and don't even get me started on the awesome self service condiment bar. Salsa, grilled onions and peppers???? Really????! Love it. These are definitely the best tacos we've had in Orem/Provo. I was afraid that I'd really miss this type of food moving here from Austin, but Brassas has it. The flour tortillas here are a huge step up from what you usually get in a cheap taco, even in a Mexican food mecca like Austin. They're thin, tender, and probably house made, although we didn't ask. They stand up to the generous fillings because they're so tender. I look forward to trying the corn tortillas, too. The fish, shrimp, chorizo, and asada are all amazing. My favorite is the shrimp taco: really juicy fried shrimp, not at all overcooked, with a spicy mayo, cabbage, and avocado topping. The asada was some of the best I've ever had. It tends to be dry and grisly, but at Brassas it's tender and juicy, yet not greasy. The chorizo is perfectly seasoned and topped with crunchy onions and cilantro, just the way I like it. The one thing I'd skip next time is the chips and salsa. The chips are thick and very well fried, not a style I enjoy, and the "chip salsa" is a little bland, especially compared to the SERIOUSLY HOT "extra hot" sauce they have at the salsa bar. We assumed it wouldn't be very spicy because food in Utah isn't, but Brassas isn't kidding. Yum! They also have delicious roasted jalapenos, onions, and nopales in the salsa bar, plus a couple of other mild salsas with tomatillos and roasted peppers. I can't even take a star away for the chips, because this is a taco joint and the tacos are 100% on point. Our entire meal for two was $11, and this wasn't even during the 2-for-1 happy hour! I am 10% sure i already rated this place. Um... hmmm i strongly suggest the tacos azteca. they have a little bit of cheese in them and they give you some yummy tortillas that go with it. Oh my mother (peggy) they are so freaking good!! Ever had cheese before? So whenever i go i always get the al pastor meat because it has pineapple in it. I am one of those sweet and tangy kind of guys... a homosexual. And i just love al pastor so much. The prices are really good and if you go during 4-5 (?) you get the tacos for even cheaper. two tacos for the price of one. if you dont go an get some tacos right now... you are a dirty damn fool. they make your food quick, they tickle your tongue, they just do a superb job and it doesnt cost you very much. Something about eating outside with fantastic salsas and tasty tacos makes this location my favorite street style taco shop in Provo/Orem. Their burritos look amazing. I don't know from experience because it's too big for me. I've watched lots of places come and go at this spot and I was convinced it was the location. I have been wanting to go this place, but have always been a little leery, just because of its location. It looks like the booth for an old used car lot, kind of at the tope of a wheelchair ramp. They built out some patios and covered them with the picnic tents. But i read the previous review and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I went on Saturday about noon, with my kids. I ordered them a cheese quesadilla and I ordered the steak taco, and a combo taco with tongue (lengua) and cabeza (cow's cheek). The steak was pretty good, not dry and was moist and flavorful. The Cabeza/lengua mix was heartier and with more fatty bits than others I have, more moist and not as dry as other taco places. It tasted, frssh in short, like it was made that day and stored properly so as to maintain freshness and flavor, along with texture. What I really liked was the homemade flour and corn tortillas for the tacos. They were a little smallish, for a $1.50, but I thought completely worth it. They had fresh pico de gallo, onion, clantro, and lovely creamy guacamole sauce. Put all together, with that little charring along the fresh tortillas was just awesome. It's a family run place, and they are very friendly. It looks clean and looks like the mom is doing the cooking. Spanish helps but not required. Go! read more

We love Brassas. I was skeptical about the tongue tacos just because "tongue" isn't the most appetizing word in the world. BUT after I tried them, they've become a must order every time I go. THE most tender meet in the world. Very tasty. They also have happy hour where all the street tacos are very cheap. Their fish tacos are also amaze balls. As for Tacos, Brassas is the best in Provo. I love coming here. I usually order the Al Pastor on a corn tortilla w/ pineapple and guacamole. I love that they offer that for no extra charge. I am a big fan of their salsa bar so I can make my food extra saucy. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is kinda expensive. Used to love this place, not anymore. Last time I went I was craving shrimp and fish tacos. Arrived at the place and it was empty, no customers. Asked for fish tacos and was told they didn't have any fish, asked for shrimp tacos and was told again they didn't have any shrimp. Ordered some steak and al pastor tacos, wanted flour tortillas and was informed that it would cost more because the tortillas were bigger, I was fine with that.
