We were looking for a reliable and easy breakfast option, and it consistently delivered. Arrival and First Impressions Being inside the hotel made this incredibly convenient, especially with kids. Each morning had a steady flow of guests, but it was well organized and easy to get seated. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, even during busy times. The Highlights The breakfast spread had everything you would want, including fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, scrambled eggs, cheeses, and meats. The croissants were consistently excellent, flaky and buttery, and constantly refreshed. My son became a bit of a legend one morning by eating 13 croissants, which says a lot about how good they were. The kids loved the French toast and eggs Benedict, while I usually went with scrambled eggs and porridge. The espresso drinks, especially the lattes, were also a daily highlight. The Challenges It could get crowded during peak hours, which sometimes meant a short wait for food orders, but turnover was quick and service was constant and nice. Final Thoughts We never tried lunch or dinner here since breakfast covered everything we needed, and it did so very well. The combination of quality and convenience made this an easy daily routine. If you are staying nearby, it is absolutely worth it for a dependable and enjoyable start to the day.

My daughter had a campari martini (yummy) while I enjoyed my Pimm's cocktail. For our main courses, the filet with fries was good with the fries delectable (the best of our trip, so much so that ordered another side of them) and the meat wasn't as tender as other spots but given the price point understood that. The Tolouse sausage with mashed potatoes was enjoyable, the duck was surprisingly good as well, the Hake was the only that was a bit too salty for me although loved the bulgur and tomato sauce. Thanks to our tour guide, we walked through several of them, including Passage Jouffroy and Passage Verdeau. I never knew these places existed. They were filled with charming little shops, restaurants and cafés, and their glass-covered walkways provided a welcome escape from the summer heat. We often used them as beautiful shortcuts while making our way around the city. Astair is tucked inside Passage des Panoramas, one of the oldest and most atmospheric of these passages. The restaurant has a stylish French bistro-chic feel, with a beautiful circular bar at the center that gives the room such a warm and lively energy. It feels unmistakably Parisian without being overly formal. For lunch, we had the traditional French onion soup, Burgundy escargots, the côte de bœuf to share and profiteroles for dessert. The onion soup was rich, comforting and beautifully gratinéed. The escargots were superb and easily my favorite, with plenty of garlic and parsley butter. The côte de bœuf was generous and beautifully cooked, while the profiteroles with ice cream and warm chocolate were the perfect ending. The service made our final meal even more memorable. Our server, Tia, was exceptionally friendly, accommodating and attentive throughout lunch. The Filipino manager, whose name I unfortunately forgot, also made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was warm and gracious. Wonderful food, exceptional service and a beautiful setting inside one of Paris's hidden passages. It was such a lovely way to end our trip.
