I was very pleased with the results. It also holds it shape well, looks modern and flattering, and requires very little time to recreate in the mornings. I should mention a Pixie cut may look simple but a really good cut isn't. It takes skill, talent and experience to get the shape, texturing and movement right. (I have Asian hair.) I took my daughter to a stylist and she asked for a partial foil with a cut. After she was rinsing my daughter's hair, she then told her she charged her for a full and additional color. This was not discussed. After blow drying my daughter's hair, it was purple and silver/grey! (As you can see the pictures) she has showed her a picture with some notes of warm Carmel color. When I asked about it and told her we were disappointed with the service, we were told the toner grabbed her hair, and she just needs to wash it. I was so frustrated and my daughter was upset because she starts high-school in a few weeks! I knew Kayleigh Hale had worked At Brassfields so I sent her pictures and asked for help! She came to the rescue! She not only squeezed us in the next day. But made my daughter feel validated, beautiful, loved, and she was professional. she also talked to my daughter about how to continue to manage her hair to keep it healthy. Added bonus! She worked MAGIC!! As you can see my daughter had a very happy smile on her face after we left, and has been talking about it non stop! Such a transformation! I have been a client of Brassfields Salon and Spa for 40 years and it just keeps getting better. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. I moved and hadn't been in for a few years but when I came in for a consultation several of the stylist and the owner made a point of welcoming me back and even remembered my name. Bree was the stylist I had an appointment with for myself and my granddaughter. She was very thorough and even took a sample of my grand daughter's hair to make sure the chemicals she would use were compatible with her hair. When we came in for our appointment a few days later, she had scheduled her whole day around us. After she was done coloring my hair I realized it was just too light and she didn't skip a beat she offered to add more color right then while my GD hair was processing or she said I could come back free of charge on another day. I went to multiple stylists here for a year and never had any problems. I almost recently saw Tess for a highlight and cut. She asked what I was looking for with the cut and I said "just a trim" thinking she would then ask how many inches or hold up the hair to show me. Instead, she went directly behind me so I couldn't see and snipped. She took off FOUR INCHES. I almost started crying and I said "it's really short." And she looked me dead in the eyes and said "yeah. It needed to go." I think she could tell I was thinking about saying something more because she immediately said "I've had a really bad day today. I'm pregnant." Which like, okay I get that, but you could have asked before chopping off four inches of my hair! My hair is also wavy/curly, so it curls up and is even shorter, which I don't think she accounted for. It took me years to grow out my hair that long and I'm devastated. I'm not the type of person to ask for a refund so I didn't, but I don't want other people to experience the same thing. I'm never going back here. read more

I know there are so many other worldly concerns to be frustrated about right now however, I am writing to inform about a unfortunate experience with regards to my scheduled appointment. I had booked an appointment back in April right when Covid-19 restrictions were implemented therefore, my appointment had to be cancelled until further notice. I rebooked another appointment once phase 2 was implemented over a week in advance for 11:15am Sunday June 28 for a cut and color! Like most people, I was so excited to finally get back in the salon and get pampered! Per the instructions listed online, I arrived in the entrance parking lot adjacent to the seating area 19 minutes early, equipped with a mask, a shirt that could potentially get hair color on, and waited for a phone call to be welcomed in. I did not receive a call to enter so I continued to sit inside my vehicle per the instructions thinking that my appointment must be delayed due to the stylist possibly working on another client. I then received a text message from a friend at 11:26 whom booked a bridal appointment last year saying that she received a call from the front desk regarding my appointment. I immediately called the front desk and let them know I have been waiting in my car for over 40 minutes at this time and that they had the incorrect information in their system. The front desk informed me that a sign had been posted at the front entrance for the customer to call once they arrived and that "we have posted it everywhere". The stylist had declined servicing me due to there being a 15 minute window. I explained that I had been outside of the building in my car for 40 minutes waiting for a call per the online instructions and that I was following what was posted online. The stylist canceled my appointment and requested that I make another appointment a week later. I had not received an email or any update on your Covid-19 policy regarding the customer to call. Because the instructions online said to wait in your vehicle until a representative called, I had not approached the entrance and was unaware of the new policy. I reconstructed my entire day for this appointment and spent an hour traveling to this specific location. Needless to say, this was a very unfortunate experience. I drove home embarrassed and frustrated. I know that there are so many regulations to follow and ever changing conditions due to Covid-19 however, I was more than disappointed in the lack of customer care received that day and the lack of accountability. I have been here before and had a very great experience. I do not recommend this location and advise going elsewhere. read more

HMMM got Covid in January, Got stuck on the Canadian border in August, then in November my car got stuck in the shop longer than I had hoped, having someone call me and say you no longer can use our salon unless you PREPAY would be bad, But I called 24 hours ahead and told the receptionist about the possibility of a car issue, she told me no worries just call tomorrow, Now Brassfields is a nice salon but the push you to make appts months out. For a $200 service I understand there position, But I can go to several other salons in a 5 mile radius pay the same money and have the same service. I absolutely love this place! They treat everyone so well & I always feel so pampered coming here. This is only my second time here, but I was blown away by the service. The first impression I got (since I hadn't been here in two years) was from the receptionist Roxanne. I talked to her on the phone about how I had to reschedule last minute due to sickness, and she was SO understanding and kind. My hairstylist was Arielle, and she did such an incredible job. She really knew what she was doing, and took her time to make sure I loved it. When I came into the hair salon, I had just lost my grandpa a few days prior. I came in to hopefully feel like myself again, and do something to gain some confidence and joy back. I walked out of the hair salon feeling loads lighter (literally because I chopped 8 inches of my hair AND because of the way they made me feel at the salon). Overall, the salon's got a nice fresh / modern feel. I saw Brittany for a heavy balayage and I truly couldn't be happier with the results. She is truly a master of her craft. I just left this salon after my first visit. Let me tell you that McKenna is a miracle worker. I had my hair and scalp destroyed 2 months ago at a different place and it took all the courage I had to trust someone to touch my head again. But I'm so glad I did! McKenna listened to my story and my explanation of what I was looking for, then got to work. The plan was to blend my grey so that the grow out was less obvious. Also with the intention of going all natural eventually. We did full foils, toner, extra conditioning, cut and style. It turned out gorgeous! She was so gentle and my scalp feels great. I booked my next appointment with her before I left, I'm never going anywhere else! Also the salon is beautiful, with big windows. After having a really bad cut elsewhere I called and asked who specialized in cutting curly hair. They suggested Makayla and I am so glad they did! She did an amazing job at fixing my cut!! I'm blown away at how great my hair looks and am so excited to have found some one so knowledgeable with curly hair! PS she gave an amazing scalp massage during the shampoo process. I'll try to summarize my visit for people who don't like to read long reviews and then go into detail for the ones who do lol. Booked appointment over fb messenger w/ jami. Was given a quote of "around $120" drove 30 min away from my house to an area I've never been to just to be told they wouldn't do my hair that it was too damaged and they wouldn't be able to lift the semi permanent Aragan oil dye out of my hair (which I'll add a pic of what my hair looks like) she said she could do the cut I wanted but that was it. I pretty much had to beg for them to give me other options and she got her manager to come look at my hair and I told her there's no way I'm going to visit my friend like this. She said they could do my root color through out with the cut for $165! Yeah no thanks I'm not paying that much for my natural hair color. So I call another salon book an appointment for the next day and they were able to get me to a beautiful icy platinum and my hair did not fall out like jami said it would and my hair feels and looks soft and healthy as well. Which I'll post a picture on that salons yelp if you want to check it out the salon is called pure Elegance Salon. Also I had to get my cut fixed because apparently all my hair was uneven and lopsided.... More details: My friend who recommended jami to me said she took her hair that had leftover colors in it to platinum. Jami seen pictures of my hair so she knew what it looked like before I came in. I told her exactly what I had done to my hair and not once did she tell me it's a possibility she wouldn't do my hair. I got there walked in everything looked super nice and clean so good vibes there. I checked in and jami came out right away and brought me to her chair. She did two test strands on my hair and walked away and came back after 15 minutes took them off and said it turned my hair green... of how many times I've gone platinum from so much worse I've never had my hair turn green so I'm unsure how that was even possible. (So I'll add when I went to the other salon the first lift my hair had some blue tint to it not green but after the 2nd lift it was all out) She then goes on to tell me coconut oil treatments aren't actually good to do before getting your hair bleached which is wrong. It's not good before dying your hair but bleaching is completely different and it has no negative effect on how it takes it only strengthens your hair so it's less damaged by the bleach. A simple google search will show you that I am right on so many different links and articles. Anyways she goes on to say my hair is too damaged and if she were to bleach it I would get a really short chemical cut and my hair would most likely fall out... the last time I did anything to my hair was in December so it's been 4 months since I've done anything to my hair. Also in December I only used a semi permanent hair dye that is ammonia free and has argan oil in it. I also only wash my hair once a week with sulfate free shampoo. Rarely ever straighten my hair. So there's no way my hair is as damaged as she and the manager made it out to be , which obviously it wasn't because the stylist at pure Elegance Salon also agreed with me that my hair was no where near "too damaged" So I waisted gas and mileage on my lease vehicle to pay $50 for a shitty haircut. If you don't know how to color correct then you should say so before wasting peoples time. read more

She told them it was for her birthday and they did not even try to make it right. Nothing! I have such trust issues when it comes to people touching my eyebrows. I had bad experiences and it takes a whole lot to trust someone to touch my brows. I moved away from home and I needed a waxing lady. I found this salon and Nikki was mentioned a lot with waxing so I decided to give her a try. She's super awesome. She knows her stuff when it comes to your skin and waxing needs. She made me feel comfortable the whole time and she's really good at what she does. And she's so open to your needs, if you don't like something, you can tell her. Or if you want something done a certain way, she can work around it. Super accommodating! But, this salon for waxing is a little pricey compared to what I pay for back home. For brow and lip wax, I paid $40ish. That's a lot.... wah. First time ever getting my hair done here. I was thinking that it would be a few weeks before I could get in but they were able to get me in the next day! My gal was Amy, and she was seriously beyond amazing. I was looking for a balayage (first time ever getting one) and she did a fabulous job. She took the time to get to know me, told me about every step/production she was doing and using on my hair and took the extra time to curl my hair. For first time goers, they even give you a goodie bag with samples and coupons! It may be on the pricey side but you get what you're paying for and it is so worth it! And with Amy (not sure about the other girls) if there are any spots that need a retouch or you don't like something, she offers to fix it for free within the first two weeks. (Please read first) I've been to brassfield a total of three times I went twice to Mary and she is amazing I love her. She got my ALREADY blonde to a platinum, long healthy blonde hair to my butt! Third time I went in it was a year later after I have been dark for almost a year and wanting to start the process to go blonde again as the dark wasn't fitting me well, I saw Phoenix this time...the lady at the counter told me to go to her as she is a "teacher" when I first walked in and see her, her hair is a BRASSY yellow blonde and it looks like she maybe does her hair herself . I was very skeptical about this for one maybe she isn't good with bleaching? I was polite obviously and didn't say anything about that maybe she's trying to go blonde idk her deal. Anyways we sat down I explained my hair a year ago was beautiful healthy blonde to my butt and a year ago I went dark brown and it faded now to a light brown, I just got a fresh cut so it is now to my shoulders all extremely healthy good hair. First, She says my hair is damaged and she won't touch my hair!!! This was extremely extremely odd I've been getting my hair done since I was 15 professionally I'm now 28, I've been back and forth brown to blonde a few times out of those years not many but a few. I've never had an issue with a stylist telling me She's not touching my hair and I basically have to LEAVE . Weird right? I'm sitting there confused no high lights nothing? I insist she gets the salon manger/owner. So he comes over and says they will not put bleach over bleached hair. Lol he doesn't want to get "sued" really weird vibe really weird people in general. ..... I mean I'm no hair stylist but I'm pretty sure the process to accumulate a brighter shade blonde is to put a lower volume developer and bleach and slowly work your way up to to the desired blonde in 1 to how ever many sessions it takes over time. So they told me to leave. So I left.... Very unprofessional very rude I never had such an extremely rude interaction before. So after leaving I go to my car and cry at how rude that was and UNPROFESSIONAL. I then I called doll house salon I made an appointment and Sydney got me to a beautiful golden blonde in less than 3 hours.. no issues... in 1-2 more sessions ill be back to the beautiful blonde I was. Im not saying everyone at Brassfields is bad but I wouldn't go to Phoenix and the owner is extremely rude. They both are extremely disconnected on the process of going blonde . read more

If I could give a negative star I would!!! WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD and still paid over $500.00. And to top it all off I've been a client there for over four years. Rene was the stylist that damaged the life out of my hair, bleaching it twice, leaving the bleach on for at least four hours in total! The process turned my hair bright orange as my hair was falling out in chunks. This happened right before my family reunion! When she turned me around in the chair after six hours my hair was bright orange and could not even be brushed or blow dried and I told her obviously this is not what I expected. I was initially quoted around $118 for bleach and tone and $40 for olaplaex but left with a bill near $500.00! I had initially made an appointment weeks before my family reunion to lighten my hair a shade or two lighter at a time. And was originally working with a lady named Phoenix who continued to cancel on me. At this point they told me to try Renee and that "she was a bleach expert". They couldn't have been more wrong! At the end she even acknowledged the fact that I believe she had no idea what she was doing or what the outcome could even possibly be. She darkened my roots which made absolutely no sense for what we were going for. And then the rest was bright orange the two colors together look like a calico cat. When I went back in the following morning to show her how bad my damaged hair was and how bright orange it was once it dried ..I was bawling my eyes out. They then began to offer some products to me to fix it but the damage was to severe. After crying for about 45 minutes in the salon voicing my disappointment The manager finally decided to tell her to throw temporary color over it which would be good for a few weeks. In the end I spent two days and nearly $500 for a process that destroyed my hair. I'm extremely disappointed with Brassfields and after 4 years of going to them I will no longer be one of their customers. read more

She said on their service menu they have both (same price)and she will make a note that I specifically want KST not the Brazilian. I waited 2 weeks for appointments, drove almost 2 hours from Sequim and as soon as I arrived, my stylist Amanda (sweet girl) informed me that they do not have the product did Kerarin Trearment but we can do Brazilian. Unbelievable. The service that I wanted was not available and no one (including the stylist) feel the need to inform me! i went in and for a partial foil and a tone and i didn't get anything i asked for. i go to cosmetology school and i know how some of this goes and i showed him a picture and then he decided to balayage my roots instead of foiling it. then he toned me and i had a gold halo around my crown and roots. there was no effort to pre book to fix it or anything. i had never left crying hating my hair before. i tried calling for a refund and still haven't heard back. read more
