Stopped in here while having a day in the area with our son and we all loved it. I got the hummus bowl with falafel and all kinds of yummy toppings. My husband got the sandwich with falafel. This place is amazing!!! The food is so fresh and flavorful. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The manager noticed we were there 2 days in a row and gave us some cookies which were maybe the best chocolate chip cookies we've had. We ate outside. The entire place, including the rest rooms, was clean and nice. The fountain drinks were unique and they did have a selection of interesting wines and beers. We will be back! The good: Everything was of good quality. Flavors were good, if not what I hoped for. Service was quick. There were options I found appealing (wife had brisket sandwich and fries and I had the shawarma and a side of falafel). The "meh" The flavors were there, but really low key. Nothing popped out at me. This may have been due to the way the sandwich is constructed - I couldn't get a bite with more than one or two ingredients. I'd get a bit with bread and beets, a bite with pickles and bread...and the end was just hummus and bread. Nothing ruled. There was no star of the show and the "ensemble" wasn't worth the price of admission. Final thoughts. Sababa does this better and in a less curated/manufactured way. I got the impression that someone wanted to open a chain and settled on this menu, rather than having a passion for this food and wanting to share it with the world. This place is like a Mediterranean Chipotle. Now with that terrible comparison out of the way, I will say: this was easily the best restaurant I happened upon during my trip to the Columbus area. Since every ingredient sounded uniquely delicious, I was afraid my numerous choices would muddy the flavor profile. I couldn't be more incorrect. They bake the pita in house, placing 5 dough balls in a circle. They then flatten them with a pneumatic press thingy (that's the technical term I think lol) and bake them in the adjacent oven. I love hummus but chose Babaghanoush instead since that is not even an option at some places. I chose the chicken as my protein; then added crispy onions, cucs and radishes, pickled cabbage, Zhoug (asked the worker and found out I had been pronouncing it in my head incorrectly for years), feta, tahini, cauliflower and jalapeños, and marinated eggplant. I also had a tahini chocolate chip cookie and a minty pink drink. The cookie was an excellent mix of sweet and salty. The pink drink, while very good, was basically pink lemonade. My topping choice for the pita was fueled by my ravenous hunger at the time as well as the anxious patrons behind me in the assembly line. I will be more conscientious next time. Or maybe even more gluttonous. Who knows? Who cares? All I care about is: I LOVED this place! read more

During the height of COVID, we were driving from New Albany to Bexley or UA to get a takeout fix. I swear, their falafel has some sort of soothing powers that got us through so many weekends without visiting our favorite restaurants in person. Speaking of falafel, definitely grab a side of it with hummus and add the zhug sauce for some extra kick. Trust me. Every time we go, we get a large side of zhug to go. I'm so obsessed. We've already been twice and the staff treats you like they are trying to win a friendly contest against Chik-fil-a. I always get the salad bowl and it never disappoints. Chicken is my usual go-to, but the brisket is pretty awesome as well. Oh, and I get literally every single topping available. They are all so delicious and each of the flavors compliment each other so perfectly. There is also some sort of wizardry in the pita. It's the fluffiest, softest, tastiest pita I've ever eaten. First time here and did not know what to expect. Was surprised it was setup cafeteria style, pick whether you want sandwich or salad, add protein, and add whatever else you choose. They do offer a hummus plate with falafel which was my choice. You can add whatever else you wish from the available options, but I kept it simple only adding tahini sauce and the marinated eggplant. The marinated eggplant was different, but very good. Did it belong with hummus and falafel, probably not as the hummus imparted its own flavor and texture which I feel distracted from the eggplant; 100% my mistake. My second mistake was using the tahini sauce. The tahini sauce was good, but its stronger flavor overpowered the more delicate flavors of the hummus and falafel. I was advised that the next time I should choose the "special sauce", so I will keep that in mind. Overall, the food was very good, my combination mistakes notwithstanding. We also had their fries which are served with their own sauce fur dipping, delicious, and I definitely recommend them. Let's talk the drinks for a minute. Brassica offers a brassarita, their take on a margherita. It's made using Hornitos tequila, so no cheap well tequila. Take it from me, if you're going to order this, have a designated driver, because they don't spare the tequila. They also offer beer and wine, but I didn't pay attention to the brands. For soft drinks they serve Boylan's pure cane sodas served from a fountain, serve yourself and free refills. Overall, now that I know more about Brassica, the setup, the food, and the friendly staff, I'll definitely be going back, this time more educated. read more

My husband and I were traveling back home from a weekend trip, so did not realize to take pictures until after eating. I tried the pita sandwich and chicken for the first time today. It was amazing! I usually get the salad bowl with the brisket. The chicken was very tender and flavorful and the pita itself was very soft. My husband got the usual go-to, which is the salad bowl with brisket. We, of course, got the fries that come with the special house sauce. The crunchy fresh seasoned fries are such a good pairing with the sauce. We also got the minty lemonade, which always helps wash everything down. Just love how fresh all the toppings are. My favorite toppings to get are the beets, cabbage, carrots, eggplant, and cauliflower. The combination of those with the meat always tastes great. They also have great service. I think this is my favorite Brassica location now, because it's nicely nestled in Easton and has plenty of parking options. read more
