Late flight into Columbus and was looking for something light and healthy. This was close by (paid street parking or garage) and fit the bill. We sat at the bar and service was good. The smoked old fashioned was good but a bit watery, honey was interesting. The Chinese chicken salad was fresh, but the cold chicken was a bit chewy and I didn't eat much of it. My coworker got an ahi tuna bowl that was fresh and had cilantro with mushrooms mixed with the grains. The space is pretty and has positive vibes

I just got off my flight from District of Columbia Airport, and after spending that entire hour waiting in anticipation for the tall drink of water next to me to say ANYTHING to me, I was--how do you say--famished. I went to true food and consumed 1 panini and 1 hummus plate. Long story short, my needs were fulfilled and I can forget the guy on the plane. He was wearing jorts btw, so I'm not really sure what I was thinking. My dogs were with me, which really got the waitress's attention. So that was yap city. Everything was sunshine and rainbows tho.

Delicious food and drinks. I always feel healthy when I dine here. Love their seasonal menus too. My favorite is the Asian wild caught shrimp, though pricey for lunch at $23.

I have been to True Food Kitchen in two other states, this one in Columbus continued the great experiences. We had the hummus starter which was super tasty. I had the seasonal pizza and want to learn to make the vegan lemon ricotta at home. We had a very nice and attentive server, and would definitely be back for future nice dinners.

We were shopping closeby and decided to cone here for lunch. Large dining room with comfortable booths or tables, lots of bar seating. Not a huge menu, but we all were happy with our choices. I had a quinoa bowl and my friend had a chicken wrap and soup. It was good choice if you are looking for a healthy meal. It was quite pricey with our lunch bill being $60 with no alcohol drinks.

Pretty darn good! The only weirdness was the hostess Evening on a weeknight -do you have reservations? No.... Oh. I can make it work. Table directly in front of the door We felt like we were burdening her The restaurant was not even half full ‍ Nice variety on the menu of typical stuff. We all enjoyed our food, the meatloaf was a hit. Even with the missing mashed potato Pesto pasta yummmm Drinks were creative and tasty too!

Love the burger here! I've gotten it twice now! The vibe is nice too! The service has been pretty good when I've gone as well. I get a little sad that they don't have regular fries but the salad is pretty tasty. I wouldn't mind fries tho I took a friend here recently and they loved it too.

We ordered for delivery and got an assortment of things. Everyone really liked their salads and one person liked the Nashville chicken sandwich they got. The salmon that came with the salads/salmon entree was also delicious. We always get the edamame dumplings as a starter as they're our all time favorite! Unfortunately I got the tuna poke bowl and the tuna tasted really fishy (more so than normal, I always eat tuna sushi) so I didn't eat it. I don't know if it was actually bad or not but it was too fishy to eat.

Met some good friends here for brunch last Saturday. We were able to make a reservation on Open Table for the three of us. The dining room was bright and clean and it has an open concept kitchen where you can see the food being assembled and cooked. The server was prompt and we ordered our beverages. I got the iced lavender matcha latte. For my main, I got the Chinese Chicken Salad. All the food here is fresh and humanely sourced and therefore a little pricier although in my opinion it was worth it. Vegetables were absolutely delicious and the chicken in my salad was yummy as well. If you're moving into the new year with a goal of clean eating, this is your spot.

We went to True Food Kitchen for NYE dinner and it was the best idea! After a week of holiday foods, sweets, and drinks -- having a place to go that was clean eating was great. Our server was very kind and helpful. She even exchanged the kids drinks after the kids realized the fizzy water was not kid-approved (not sweet). It got pretty busy after 6p, so it was a little understandable that she got busy but there were spurts of time that seemed extremely long and we had to wait. The overall restaurant setting is really nice! The tables are spread out, so you don't feel like you're encroaching on someone's meal. Our kids did great, although they got a little crazy at points. The setting at True is a little more refined so not a great place for kids, but totally doable. If you're hungry, I would suggest going elsewhere. The portions are appropriately sized for servings size - not for the price. For example, the guac and hummus dip comes with approx 14 chips. There's way more dip, so if you ask for more chips, they will bring you a tiny plate with approx 7-14 chips. We eventually asked for 2 more servings then gave up. (Definitely not like a Mexican restaurant!). Another example is the kids meals had more food than the entrees. The cheese pizza was a 11" and the teriyaki bowl was jam packed with ingredients. The tuna bowl was smaller. Overall, it's REALLY tasty food, the setting is nice and clean, and it's a great place to go. But not if you're really hungry or have a large appetite.

Tried the squash pie and the cookie al mode. The squash pie I think was old because I have had this before and everything about the one at this location was off. I also couldn't eat the crust at all because it was rock hard. The cookie would have been better if warmed but it was pretty basic. The place was almost empty when we stopped but the space is large and there is a lot of natural lighting. There is a parking garage across the way or you can pay for parking right outside the building.

yes for sure. they do it for my daughter

Does True Food Kitchen serve coffee drinks or matcha lattes?

To my knowledge they do not offer an extensive menu of coffee drinks. They do have a few special teas. They mainly concentrate on hand made cocktails and craft beers.

It's truly special when a server makes the effort to get to know everyone at the table, make jokes and join in on the laughs. I was visiting Columbus for the weekend, and throughout the rest of my stay after dinner, I can say this meal was a highlight! The atmosphere was beautiful, and we were seated right away! The cocktails were amazing, I had a strawberry fields. Now as for the short ribs, they melted in my mouth! They paired perfectly with the risotto, truly a great plate of food that felt like home! I have already recommended this place to friends visiting Columbus soon!

We visited yesterday around 3 PM after seeing the new Mario movie. We didn't have a reservation, but seating wasn't an issue at that time. As always, the restaurant was clean, lively, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, and our waitress was attentive throughout our visit. We ordered many of our usual favorites, but my entrée--the braised short rib--was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect. While the meat itself was still tender, moist, and flavorful, the risotto was disappointing. It lacked its usual creamy texture and was noticeably too thick. Additionally, the dish was served with only carrots as the root vegetable, whereas in the past it has included a variety of vegetables that really elevated the overall flavor and presentation. I was especially disappointed because this was actually the first time I remembered to take a photo of my meal before digging in. I came in fully intending to finally leave a glowing five-star review based on all of our previous great experiences--but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. This was surprising, especially given how consistently great this dish--and the restaurant overall--has been during our previous visits. We've dined here at least five times this year and even celebrated our son's third birthday here, so this experience felt out of character. One difference worth noting is that we typically visit for dinner, and this was our first time coming during the afternoon. It's possible there may be differences in the kitchen or service during that time. We do plan to return, as we're hoping this was just an off day. This place has earned a lot of goodwill from us over time, but we wanted to share this experience in case it's helpful for others.

For $20, you get a starter, an entrée, and a dessert, which is hard to beat. The restaurant was quiet without feeling empty, and the background music was just loud enough to create a nice atmosphere while still allowing us to have a conversation. The dining room and the restroom were both clean, which I always appreciate. Our server, Liz, was the highlight of the visit. She was prompt, attentive, and refreshingly honest when I asked about menu substitutions. Instead of saying everything on the menu was great just to make a sale, she gave genuine recommendations, and I really appreciated that. She also stayed on top of our drinks, bringing refills before we ever had to ask. She checked on us several times throughout the meal without being intrusive. We ordered the Cookie Skillet for dessert, and she waited until we were actually finished eating before bringing it out so the ice cream wouldn't melt. It's those little details that make a difference. I started with the fresh garden salad, followed by the BB-style pizza with pepperoni and sausage. At first glance, it looked like sausage only because the pepperoni is layered under the cheese. The pizza was loaded with cheese and toppings, and the crust had a nice texture. The sauce leaned more savory than sweet. I personally prefer a sweeter pizza sauce, but it was still flavorful and enjoyable. We also shared the Carolina Gold chicken chunks, onion rings, and provolone wedges. The onion rings had a nice crispy coating and actually tasted like onions, which isn't always the case. The Carolina Gold chicken chunks were generously coated in the Carolina Gold sauce, but the chicken itself was pretty bland and mostly tasted like the sauce. I also think they could have been cooked just a little longer. The provolone wedges were hot, cheesy, and tasty--it's hard to mess those up, but they definitely hit the spot. The Cookie Skillet was the perfect way to end the meal. The cookie was served warm with crispy edges and a soft, gooey center filled with melted chocolate chips. It was topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and pecans. Even though I boxed up the rest of my meal to take home, I made sure to eat the cookie while it was still warm with the melting ice cream, and I'm glad I did. It was definitely my favorite part of the meal. One small observation: the restroom doors open inward, so if you've got a big back like me, getting out can be a little awkward. Thankfully, the restroom itself was very clean. Overall, I think the 614 Restaurant Week special is a great deal. Between the generous portions, comfortable atmosphere, clean restaurant, and exceptional service from Liz, I'd definitely come back. The food wasn't perfect, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, but I'd absolutely recommend Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill if you're looking for a casual place where you can enjoy a good meal, have a conversation, and get a lot of food for the price.

So, it wasn't off to a good start. When we finally made it to our table, our waitress didn't seem too thrilled to be there. Staffing appeared to be an issue, which was made apparent when it took a while just to get our water. At least the complimentary bread was good! We placed our orders, but I was extremely let down when the waitress said they ran out of limoncello cake. That was one of the main reasons I chose this restaurant. Bummer! My appetizer was the sausage stuffed mushrooms. The presentation really needed some work, but it was delicious. The sausage had a hint of spice and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. I then got the chicken parmesan, which came with a side of pasta. Again, excellent dish. Very moist chicken. For dessert, I opted for the turtle cheesecake since limoncello was out of the question. Two others in my party ordered the banana cheesecake, only for our waitress to come out just before handing us our dishes and say, "We're actually out of that too, so you're getting turtle cheesecake." Everyone in my group had to swap out our initial choice, so we weren't thrilled. The turtle cheesecake was delicious though! I was quite surprised. However, the slice was pitiful! It was so small! I felt jipped. To top it off, we had to bus our table at some points because no one took our plates. There wasn't any room for the dessert, so we used the nearby counter to stack our dishes. I really wanted to give a positive review because I enjoyed the food, but the poor service and running out of dessert options ruined it.

What a shame, out for a romantic dinner with a special someone only to be let down. Absolutely unbelievable. yes, it was the end of the night. However, I felt that we were hovered over an eyeball to hurry up so they could get their night going. Keep in mind it said that it was open for another hour when we got there and I even called from the parking lot to make sure, in the Cook himself said they were open, but when I got there, the concierge lady said they were close, but then figured why not let me eat. Seems rather strange. I could hear them in the kitchen with loud music and let seem to be partying going on. Guessing there is no supervision here. I noticed the other server was using the computer for food and drink orders for a party out in another area, however, ours wrote it on a piece of paper and took it back so I am hoping the money wasn't pocketed. The parking lot seemed extremely dangerous with what looked to be gang activity, loud, sketchy, looking vehicles, and people literally standing in the parking lot, staring us down as we got in the car.... Surprised we did not get mugged. I definitely had my mace in hand. $200.00 worth of doom and gloom.

They were very forgiving to me not liking the drink, got the wrong side and offered to bring the correct one out. Left the broccolini on the table aswell. I really enjoyed my lunch, I had lamb . Which was mad fantastically. The petite lamb chops were very easy to eat. And so tender, I got them pink. Shrimp was OK. I got the cucumber mojito which was amazing aswell. Definitely pay for the experience but worth every penny in my opinion. I would love to come back and visit to try more dishes.

This one didn't offer one, which was a general disappointment (and offering to be might benefit them-- the place was dead for most of the two hours we were there). The space is beautiful and luxurious: a lovely fountain is in the center and signature chandeliers fill the dining area. I was a little disappointed that the choices of seating were were given -- though the place was empty-- was either a very small table (so small our servers apologized for having to awkwardly stack things as dishes came out) or a table attached to the only other large party dining there. Felt like a very strange choice. Also, while the place is very upscale and very expensive, that vibe was somewhat at odds with other diners who did arrive in what literally looked like old pajama pants and workout gear. The food was all good, but portions are very small for the big prices: entrees are all in the $50 range, sandwiches in the $30 range. A "petite" baked potato (which is petite indeed) was $14; burrata was $26. It was fine, but you can have a true consistently upscale experience elsewhere for those kinds of prices. I'd come back -- if there was a happy hour!
